I like this store because I can always find a good deal! It's a bit of a hit and miss sometimes but usually I can find great shoes and clothes for my kid and myself. They have beauty supplies, dog toys, kid toys, home accessories you name it. I can only come here when I have time to waste because searching for the things I need can take a long time is this store. Currently they have a slim pickings for luggage, I am assuming because of our current global situation. The only reason for 2 stars is because the store is visibly dirty, staff is not friendly, if you want to find any type of clothing you have to search amongst jam packed rows of clothing and there really isn't enough space between isles for any type of social distancing. Bathrooms are dirty, the line is always long to pay so expect to stand in line 10-15 minutes during a week day. I most likely won't return to this store.

My visit centered around finding a prom dress for my oldest daughter. The store is really a solid 3.5-4. Plenty of parking, fairly clean interior, and gender specific restrooms onsite. Employee at front registered greeted us warmly! When I replied "hi there," my daughters gave me the scornful "Daaaad!" Inventory was well-stocked and way more organized than other similar discount stores, including the Ross in Norfolk (Military Circle). Surprisingly spacious where you're not on top of other customers in most departments. There are deals to be had if you have time to sort through stock AND keep a mental list of OTHER family clothing/home good needs. We struck out on Daddy + Daughter(s) shopping but did score some very cheap shorts and dress shirt for my oldest son.

    Need socks? So does Ross.

The selection is so sparse. If you were to visit TJ Maxx or Marshalls prior to coming here (like me), then you'd be like, "what the???" Seriously, check out the picture I took of their "socks" section. I mean, really? I was hoping to purchase a 3-pack of Calvin Klein crew necks, but all that was available were Allen Solly, Jockey, and Body Glove. Doesn't Body Glove make wetsuits? Since when did they start making underwear? Maybe their inventory was ransacked during the Christmas rush. But I doubt it...

Great store!! You gotta take the time to really look and find some cool stuff, like my son says??? Plenty of good brands on sale. This store and the one at the beach are very well maintained with good customer service !!' Give it a shot it might surprise you!!!

Made a passing inquiry and ended up in a fitting room with a whole stash of bras. I was fitted over my clothing and the woman who did it stated she had fitted me for a size beyond the realm of my comprehension. This person spent a good amount of time with me running back and forth but I believe she either went on break or gave me back to Rebecca. By that time I had scratched my arms and chest so many times with bras, I could no longer genuinely tell what fit well and did not. I left with a sports bra with a wire that wraps all the way around each breast and a t-shirt bra. I put on both items today to truly try them out: The sports bra: While it offers great support, it squeaks like an old shoe... The t-shirt bra: Relentlessly digs or scratches my arm on both sides. Digs right into your armpit fat and rubs. I am very disappointed. I finally gave up and decided to look at my receipt. At minimum, I need to return the t-shirt bra. It's purely uncomfortable. Full price was $42.50! Straight up, this is THE most expensive bra I have EVER purchased. I wasn't sure if I could return a bra. I get it, but no one ever told me what I found on the receipt: Merchandise marked as final sale is not eligible for return in Lane Bryant, Lane Bryant Outlet, or Cacique Lifestyle stores at any time. I am stuck with this. This is why women hate bra shopping...

Staff is always so friendly and attentive whether they're asking to take some empty hangers out of your hands, or asking if you'd like for them to place all of your terrific finds behind the cash wrap to free up your hands to continue shopping. I always enjoy how clean and well organized the store is kept. The aisles are spacious. The clothing racks are clearly marked by size and the different sections are arranged according to styles with attention to colors. This retail team truly takes time to keep their selections appealing to their customers. This evening's event featured 90% off clearance, 20% off storewide, and 10% off designer ($250 or less). I have to admit that the additional discounts are music to my ears...and my wallet, too! Thank you, Style Encore for such a nice shopping event!

When I approached the counter to have my items scanned, the cashier looked at them and immediately said, "Those won't sell." When I politely asked why, she looked at another cashier to explain instead of giving me a direct answer herself. She then suggested that I take my items to Plato's Closet. The reason I came to Style Encore in the first place is because the website specifically says they accept high-ticket items, and my item is well over $150. If you're going to deny someone a service, you should at least be able to clearly explain why in a respectful and professional manner. The overall experience felt discouraging and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. A simple greeting and better customer service would have made a huge difference.
