Kia service (7/2026): After purchasing our Telluride from another Kia dealership, we scheduled a service appointment at Kia Roseville, expecting the same level of service. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. Our service advisor, Kenneth, told us the vehicle would need to stay for two days to complete five active recalls. That was completely understandable. However, he also said he would call with an update before closing on the first day, and we never heard from him. The following afternoon, Kenneth called to let us know that the issue with our third-row seatbelt would cost $205.38 to repair. During the conversation, he also said, "Well, you didn't buy your car through us, but we'll still take care of you." That was a surprising comment to hear from a service advisor. I wasn't aware that where a Kia was purchased would affect the level of service or recall work a customer receives. For context, the third-row seatbelt has only been used once to secure a child's car seat. Somehow the belt became stuck and would no longer extend. Our Telluride has only 30,000 miles on it, and although we purchased the extended warranty, we were told this issue wasn't covered. That was disappointing, especially on what is still a relatively new vehicle. The communication only got worse from there. The next day, I expected a call letting me know when the vehicle would be ready. After calling Kenneth twice and leaving two voicemails without a response, I ended up driving my wife to the dealership because it shouldn't take over six hours to replace a seatbelt. When I arrived, I asked if he had received my messages. He said he was "going to call me back." At that point, the service department was closing in less than an hour, meaning we wouldn't have had enough time to get there before closing if he had actually waited to call. The biggest issue, however, was that Kia Roseville failed to address an active oil filter housing gasket leak recall. Before the appointment, I informed Kenneth about the leak and emailed him two videos and a photo showing oil leaking after I changed the oil. He later told me the technician found no issues. The leak is significant enough that it continues to leave oil spots in my garage. Rather than investigate further, Kenneth suggested the problem was due to me not changing the oil correctly. I've been changing my own oil for more than 20 years and have never experienced this issue, especially on a vehicle with only 30,000 miles. Kenneth told me he would follow up within a week after looking into the issue further. Once again, no call ever came. Overall, this was a frustrating experience due to poor communication, dismissive customer service, and concerns that an active recall-related issue was not properly addressed. I visited Roseville Kia to address a known, safety-critical issue with my newly purchased 2023 Kia EV6 GT. My vehicle is repeatedly failing to complete Level 2 charging, triggering a "Charge session interrupted" notification. As documented by Kia's technical bulletins and Service Campaign SC311 (associated with DTC P1BAD00), this issue involves excessive heat buildup at the charging coupler during Level 2 charging--a potential thermal hazard if left unaddressed: "This is very likely a known EV6 Level 2 charging problem, not something you are doing wrong. Kia issued a technical bulletin specifically for certain 2023 EV6 GTs because excessive temperature at the charging inlet can interrupt charging. The associated diagnostic code is P1BAD00 -- Battery Charger Coupler Temperature Too High. Kia's remedy is a Vehicle Charging Management System--or VCMS--software update. Kia later created Service Campaign SC311 for certain 2022-2024 EV6s because 240-volt Level 2 charging could stop or slow down when the electrical connection between the charging handle and vehicle inlet deteriorates. The VCMS update is supposed to reduce these interruptions and is performed free of charge. Do not continue repeatedly restarting the charge if the plug or port becomes extremely hot, smells burned, looks discolored, or shows melted plastic. In that situation, unplug it and have both the EV6 inlet and J1772 charging handle inspected immediately." My initial Service Advisor was helpful and recognized the urgency, attempting to expedite an appointment sooner than the standard three-week wait. However, when she escalated the request to Service Supervisor Calvin, the customer service completely collapsed. Calvin refused to assist with expedited scheduling, citing corporate protocols. Given the serious nature of an overheating high-voltage charging port, I brought up my background as a firefighter and directly asked if he was comfortable advising someone to continue operating a vehicle with a known thermal safety risk. His response was dismissive and completely unacceptable. He stated--and I quote: "Well if you do not feel safe driving the car sir, drive another one." Considering this is my primary vehicle, suggesting I simply "drive another car" without offering a loaner, an expedited inspection, or any practical safety solution displays a staggering lack of accountability and basic service safety standards. I left the dealership without resolution. I am escalating this matter directly to Kia Corporate and taking appropriate legal steps regarding the safety of this vehicle and Kia Roseville. My wife and I had an absolute horror show of an experience here yesterday. We came in knowing the exact car we wanted to see and initially worked with a sales consultant named Quindell, who was nice and personable. Things were going along well until he passed us off to a baby-faced kid named Weston, whom he claimed was the assistant manager (he wasn't). The kid looked like he should be selling me extended warranties at GameStop. Weston proceeded to show me the sales sheet for the vehicle, which was tacked full of every possible padded upsell. He forced us to run a gauntlet of saying "no" to useless add-ons before we could even get down to the actual price of the vehicle. The primary sticking point for Weston was a $1,200 LoJack system that he insisted could not be removed or deactivated. I responded that this simply was not true, and that a $500 installation was being used to pad the margins on the vehicle before we even discussed real numbers. They also quoted $1,000 for a ceramic tint...an absurd markup given that I just had ceramic tint added to another car four days ago and am well aware of what actual market pricing is ($500). Finally, they wanted $1,000 for a Reviver digital license plate frame that I can buy directly for $625 (including the product and a one-year subscription). Weston kept going back and forth, failing to remove the items from the sheet, claiming he had never been asked to take them off, saying he didn't know how, and even claiming he would have to call the owner. He grew increasingly indignant, scoffing as I tried to reiterate my requests. It was at this point that I explained we were past the point of being able to make a deal. They had crossed a personal boundary regarding how I allow myself to be treated, so I suggested we cut our losses and go our separate ways without hard feelings. As we walked to our car, Weston had his sales manager, Colin, intercept us. Colin asked what it would take to earn our business. I explained our experience and told him that, at this stage, it was a moral boundary based on how disingenuous the process had been. Colin's response to me was, "It's haggling; it's supposed to suck." Colin's comment exposed the entire culture of Roseville Kia. There is a massive difference between fair negotiation on a vehicle's price and actively trying to deceive customers with unremovable, marked-up line items. Negotiation doesn't have to "suck" when both parties are honest; it only sucks when a dealership treats its customers like marks instead of partners. And that wrapped up my singular experience with Roseville Kia. I just bought another car for myself four days ago. I know the car-buying process isn't always great, but it does not have to be a nightmare. The goal should be to find a happy middle ground where both parties feel respected, comfortable, and satisfied when leaving the lot. What management fails to realize is basic economics: the front-end margin you tried to pad with junk fees is nothing compared to the lifetime value of a loyal customer. By playing games, you didn't just lose today's sale, you forfeited thousands of dollars in service center revenue over the next five to ten years. It costs five times more to acquire a new customer than to keep one, yet your team eagerly threw my retention in the garbage. Instead of winning our business and earning a referral engine that would bring you more clients, you created an "anti-customer." A happy buyer might tell three people, but an insulted buyer tells fifteen. I will actively ensure that my friends, family, and anyone reading this review steer clear of your lot. When we decided to purchase our 2020 Kia Sportage even though the backup panel wasn't working because the salesman and the finance manager told us they would fix it and they will cover the cost. We made an appointment and brought the car in. They cancelled the appointment because they were too busy to fix it. We rescheduled the appointment and paid a &100 restock fee. Then when my husband took the car in to be fixed they told him that he will have to pay $1,000.00 for the repair ! They said that we accepted the car "as is" so we are screwed . My husband told them that they could expect legal action over this! My husband is a veteran with a heart condition and is on dialysis and has high blood pressure so he doesn't need to get upset over this. read more

When we returned next day we were being avoided and manipulated and when actually confronted we were met with aggression. I had to take a day off work and drive out there so they could take a picture of it. I waisted an entire day , gas, and he had an attitude problem as well. I explained that I didnt understand why i would have to go there to get a picture, when i already sent multiple pictures. He said if i didnt like there service there were other dealerships. What is this guy talking about. I just bought this car brand new from them. He then said it would be a 2 to 5 hour wait. Afterwards he said they will order the part and i will have to bring it back and drop off for repairs. I also told him there is an air gap on driver door making a loud sound. He didn't have that looked at. I guess i will have to live with the problem. I asked for gas for waisting my time and driving out there. That didnt happen. Just attitude. I wish i never bought this car from them. People should not have problems when trying to get a new car fixed. The service department is trash and i recommend buying from a different dealership or different brand of car. I hope this helps people make a decision when purchasing a car from them. Then i was contacted by joy sanders who had me come back and drop off car for the repair. I asked for a simple customer satisfaction request to fill my tank with gas for all the troubles and mileage i had to put on my car to get everything addressed. My car guy was mainly Toyota but he has said that Kia has been building better cars every year and possibly passing over Toyota. I needed a new car and wanted back in on an electric one. I had the first Tesla in my area long ago but I blew the battery up. I miss an electric car. Gas is just never going down and I wanted another one. The EV6 is it. It looks great and has so many features. It's a fantastic vehicle and we love it. It's even a little faster than my old Tesla. The staff worked fast and got me through all of the paperwork fast so I could get out of there and on the road. I hate all the red tape but they did an excellent job at getting me out of there. I took my new 2026 Kia Sorento PHEV in for it's first service and marked my tires to see if they would get rotated as I had paid for this to get done. I was surprised that this work wasn't done and I'm wondering what else wasn't completed. Did they change my oil? I had waited about 2 hrs for the oil change and the non existent tire rotation. I rescheduled the tire rotation for another date and that was another 1.5 hr wait. You would think that they would provide better customer service after being so dishonest. Daughters car went in for an engine replacement because it was faulty. From there it went from one part to another. The dealership had poor communication, so the manufacturer had to become involved. The dealership kept the car for ELEVEN MONTHS to fix all the problems, which were covered by warranty. In the meantime, they had to continue paying for insurance and car payments. The dealership didn't even offer them a rental car! Plus they damaged the car and had to fix that. Once they received the car back, they sold it and bought a Hyundai. The cars and terms I'm getting approved for make no sense to me and seem kinda predatory. I was told it was absolutely MANDATORY to get the extended coverage on the deal. When i said i would do it without it on the deal, they told me it wasn't an option, either I buy it with it or it couldn't happen. On top of all that I was told the deal was only valid right this second when we both know bank approvals are not like that. My husband and I went about 2-3 years ago to look at a Tesla Model 3 LR. We were really considering the purchase and were ready to buy cash if it was right for us. We showed up and saw the car, looked at it and no one came up to us. Just lots of salesmen staring at us from afar (odd for a commission based position). Eventually someone who identified himself as the manager came up to us asking how he could help us. My husband and I said we were interested in test driving the Tesla. He flat out said "no we don't do that". My husband and I laughed thinking he had to be joking. And he remained serious stating "we don't allow test drives because we don't have EV Charging here". We then asked how we were supposed to purchase a car that we weren't allowed to drive? He just shook his head and said "idk what to tell you but we don't do that here." So we left and went across the street to another dealer who had a Standard Tesla Model 3. We told them our experience here at Kia and they were shocked how we were treated and said that they would never deter someone from test driving a car and their excuse about the charging is not true and there was something weird going on. Not sure what the manager had against us but we have actively ensured we told our family and friends to not give Kia Roseville their business. I still can't believe they wouldn't let us test drive a car we were ready to pay cash for, insane!!! We just ended up buying a brand new Tesla Model 3 Performance online. We found a used Kia Telluride on the lot that fit our needs for a third car. It's a 2021 with low mileage which was great. We sat down, went over the numbers and gave our price. Low, but we would have come up. Sales manager came out and questioned our knowledge and research. Disrespectfu! We left. They called during the week and we gave them our final price and they agreed. Set an appointment which was confirmed. We went in, we were handed over to a salesperson, and told they would not honor that price. They wanted to haggle, we didn't. We left. Were offered down payment assistance even. After seeing countless cars we WERE NOT interested in, our representative insisted on getting a car for us to see and it took him 50 minutes to get it from another lot. 50. Almost an hour of standing around with an antsy toddler. Then, hours go by of negotiation and finally settle on a car. Get told we're waiting for approvals and all looks well, we're just crunching numbers, banks closed yada yada. Then being left to wait for more hours and next day told we are completely denied. There was no down payment assistance, it was all made up crap to get us to come in. We purchased a used car on July 18th, upon arriving home we noticed a decent size gash on the front bumper that was not disclosed to us. He insisted that they can "sell it to someone" basically suggesting that they can trick someone else since they weren't successful tricking me. Yes, I have reported them for consumer fraud. Extremely disappointing experience with Kia Roseville. If I could put 0 stars I would. During a service visit, staff left my car running long enough to drain the battery. My dash cam recorded employees jump-starting the car and giving a thumbs up before driving it back to me -- without telling me the battery had been drained. Shortly after leaving, my car died and I had to purchase a $200 battery to get home. After filing a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair, the dealership agreed to compensate me with two complimentary oil changes. When I came in for the second one, I was told there were "no notes" and they refused to honor it. This dealership service department is absolutely terrible. It took over 2 months for my car to be "fixed" and yet it is still not done properly. I did not purchase my car here so I don't know how the sales aspect is, but the service department has terrible communication, and did terrible work. I love my car, it has been great except these issues caused by the dealership. Here is a long review due to several months of interactions with this service department. Everything started on 9/2/25 when my Kia K5 panoramic glass roof/window shattered randomly. I took my car down to Kia Roseville on 9/4 for a quote. They gave me a quote on 9/7 and I requested to try to do it as a recall instead since this is a recurring issue with these cars. I was told it would take 3-5 days to find out if the replacement would be covered and they couldn't start any work until then. It was finally approved on 9/17 as a recall and I was told it would take 3-5 days for the repair. I heard nothing from the shop. Finally on day 5 I called and was told it would be 3 more days, I called again after 3 days and was told "tomorrow" it would be done. I called back the next day and was told tomorrow once again. Finally, I got my car back on 9/25 - 3 weeks after dropping it off. During one of the phone calls with the shop, I was told there is a yearly maintenance plan you can sign up for through the dealership to cover maintenance, and was told that if I signed up, cars with this plan are typically worked on/completed more quickly (which seemed strange to try to convince me to buy it?). But then, I got my car back and my horn was broken AND there were broken glass pieces still rattling in the sunroof area above my head. I took my car back on 10/7 to fix the horn and get the glass removed, got it back on 10/8 and all they did was confirm the horn was broken and said they could not find any glass. I got back home and pulled several small glass pieces out myself, and continued hearing more glass (see image below). Within a day of getting my car back, my oil light came on for low engine oil. I would assume a dealership would check fluid levels while having the car, but that was frustrating to have to take care of separately. Took it back again on 10/22 for the horn to be replaced and asked once again for the glass to be removed which they said they could not find. At this time I was working with Bianca and she said they would need to take the window back out to remove the glass pieces. She said she would call me the following week to schedule a time to have the glass company come out and remove the window to access the glass pieces. I never heard from her so I called again on 10/31 and left a message asking when I could make this appointment. I called again on 11/4 and spoke with Joy who said she would contact the glass company and call me back within a day. She finally called back on 11/10 and said they were still discussing and would need to call back to set a date for the appointment. I called on 11/17 since I had not heard anything yet. Joy called on 11/19 and said the glass could be removed on 12/10 (over 3 months since the original incident). I took my car down and was told they would remove the window, drop the headliner, and remove all remaining glass. It is now February and I STILL have glass pieces in my car, and unfortunately I have given up on having it removed. I wish the glass was removed when the original window was replaced in September, before the car was driven and the glass moved. See images below of the window when I originally dropped my car off to Kia, and as of 2/11 when the glass can still be seen/felt in the headliner. Overall, this dealership service department has very poor communication and was extremely frustrating to work with. Luckily all the repairs and appointments have been covered since it was a recall and their errors, but I have a 40 minute one-way drive to the dealership and had to do 4 round-trips. They had my car for about 4 weeks total and I was not able to get a loaner vehicle at any point. I would not recommend bringing a car here. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I dealt with Jimmy at Roseville Kia, who kept mentioning that he's the "#1 salesman"--but that didn't translate into honesty or transparency. They were the only dealership I contacted that had a $7,500 markup over MSRP. When I questioned it, Jimmy said it was "just a starting point" and they could work with me--but let's be honest, if I hadn't done my homework and called around, they would've gladly taken every penny. When I showed them a much better offer from another dealership, they didn't even respond. No follow-up, no counter, nothing. If you're thinking of buying a car, do yourself a favor and skip Roseville Kia. I won't ever buy from them--and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either. read more

Absolutely unbelievable experience with the loaner department at Kia of Roseville. I purchased a brand new car from them and within a week or so had to bring it back for window tinting. While they had my car, they gave me a loaner vehicle, which I appreciated. I had the loaner for less than 24 hours. During that time I had to pick up my kids from school, and my small puppy rode in the car briefly. When I returned the vehicle the next day, the loaner department turned around and charged me almost $300 because there was a small amount of puppy hair in the car. No damage. No stains. Nothing excessive. Just a little dog hair that could have easily been vacuumed in a few minutes. Instead, they claimed they had to send the car out for a full professional detail and passed the entire $300 bill to me. To be clear: this happened about a week after I bought a brand new car from them. Charging a new customer $300 for a tiny bit of pet hair after less than a day of use is absurd and honestly feels like a cash grab. This completely soured what should have been a positive new-car experience. If this is how Kia of Roseville treats customers right after they buy a vehicle, I'd be very cautious about doing business with them. A little basic customer service -- or even a simple vacuum -- would have gone a long way. read more

Specially if you enjoy being totally screwed over you could ask for the salesman Owen. After submitting all of my info through Sam's Club Auto buying program for my purchase and trade in and accepting the deal I made the 45 minute drive for our 11am appt. At that point I spent 1.5 hours dealing with their ignorance.. this place is what gives an honest sales man a bad name. Luckily I was able to leave and do the exact deal they accepted and then backed out on not too far away. I always have my car serviced here. 1. The first receptionist right when you walk in is the most unwelcoming person you will ever meet. It is obvious she does not realize she is in the service industry. She is downright rude. 2. The young man at the second counter is accommodating and helpful and respectful. 3. Whoever serviced my car dirtied it. They did not use a protective cover for their shoes and I actually just had my car's interior deep cleaned. read more

Lease buyout completed here and it was a very poor experience. When I raised concerns about misleading information at the start of my lease, Sales Manager Jadon Markes told me, "It's not that I can't help you, it's that I won't," and suggested I walk away if unhappy.
