I have been going to Bravo for 7 years with both of my Volvos and have always had simply outstanding service. The engine in my XC70 overheated when a radiator hose blew out while stuck in a winter snow traffic stop causing a terminal head warp. You shouldn't take your Volvo to anyone other than Dean. He performs high quality work at a reasonable price, really cares about his clients, and truly respects Volvo's especially for their safety. He has done a 120K service and multiple repairs for me. All were done quickly, professionally, and with a focus on his client. As an example, when Dean replaces brakes, he does not use Volvo brakes but another product he's found which lasts longer. Given that Volvo brakes are notorious for wearing out, this costs him money but makes his clients happy. read more

Brought in my daughter's 2002 V70 2.4T for service recently - it has to be dependable while she's off at college. Since she recently bought it, the history was unknown, however the timing belt had never been changed, an oil leak was coming from somewhere, and the transmission was acting as if it were psychotic... I wasn't convinced this was car was a wise investment for reliable transportation. However Dean fixed everything up. Rebuilt the the transmission servos, fixed the leaking power steering, replace the timing belt, the water pump, cleared the codes... nearly everything that was possibly wrong with the car... its's like a TOTALLY DIFFERENT CAR! I drove it around to "test it" afterwards, and I was stunned at the difference. She just drove it back down to the university today, and is really happy with it as well. I accidentally found the best Volvo mechanic after a terrible experience at Bill Pierce Volvo in Reno. BP had my car for (5) weeks, were unresponsive and charged over 3k (new tires, check up, headlight- etc. They couldn't find the shake/vibration I felt intermittently AND charged ME $300 diagnosis!!! Whenever I need goods and services, I always try to use a Roseville Chamber member first. I am so glad to have met the owner of Bravo Motors at a mixer. My transmission was acting up, so I thought I was looking at a several thousand dollar replacement. Dean is so knowledgeable when it comes to Volvo, he was describing symptoms to be as soon as I started talking about the problems my car was having. He fixed the problem for less than 1/3 of what I was expecting to have to spend. Not only that, but he went bumper to bumper and gave me a prioritized list of some other things my car needed. So I am from Roseville and have been living in Salt Lake City Ut for the past three years. Before moving back my Volvo XC70 Cross Country started having shifting problems and the Big O tires in SLC said that it was most likely the throttle body and would have to be replaced costing a minimum of $1200 with labor. So deciding to fix it in Cali we took it to a Big O here in Roseville but they said it was a transmission problem and to take it to a transmission specialist. Luckily before we did that we looked on yelp and found Bravo Motors. The ratings were high so I decided to give them a call and leave a message. I only stating the year, make, model, and a small description of what was wrong. They called me back shortly and they were very knowledgeable of what they thought/knew was wrong. They broke it down to the specific problem that goes with this specific year and model. I got a quote and brought it in the next day. They checked it out and ran a diagnostic and it matched exactly what they said. I asked if it would be possible to have it done that same day even though it was a transmission fix because my gf had a job interview the very next morning in Sonoma. I was very happy and very thankful that they got it done in less than five hours. Not only did they fix the problem, they let me know that my AC needed a charge (it hasn't worked since last summer) I told them I couldn't afford it at the moment because of the move but when I picked up my car they let me know they gave it a half charge and to not worry about the cost. I can only assume that they didn't want us to handle a hot California summer with no AC and for me, it was very conciderate and above and beyond customer service. All in all out the door I payed less than the original $1200 SLC quoted me for the wrong fix and they were very pleasant to work with. I will be moving to the East Bay but i will be driving back to Roseville just for the oil changes and/or any type of fix this car needs just because of this first experience.
