I was just looking for my hair to not be as yellow, since I didn't think anyone could fix it in one appointment. Jen took out the yellow tiger stripes and blotchy spots, and gave me the most beautiful and natural looking highlights. My hair has dimension and is super shiny again. Seriously, she worked some magic :) I'm so happy I finally found a salon in CT! And the prices here are super reasonable. I should note, Ashley is fabulous as well. I loved how her and the owner were…read morediscussing what coloring solution would work best for my type of hair (dry, some gray strands, and never holds color well when bleached... Not bleaching today just adding color to cover the gray hair)... I felt like they really cared about the results of my hair for the long-term not just for the one week. Most times anybody does anything with my hair involving color it comes out awful. The cut was absolutely perfect as well. Had to chop off 4 to 5 inches due to Very thin ends from my anemia... My health is improving and my hair is getting thicker and fuller. Can't wait to bring my four-year-old daughter for her haircut and follow up with many more haircuts in the future here! Just a sidenote... Make sure you bring money for a tip Because they cannot tip on credit cards. I keep forgetting this fact. Mariann called me back and the we were able to text back and forth- on a Friday night which was definitely appreciated. She listened to my situation and gave me different options as well as photos. I went in the salon and was thrilled that Mariann actually listened to my goals for my hair ( low maintenance, easy to air dry) and then gave me different options throughout the appointment. She not9 only listened but spent time looking at my hair and explaining her thoughts to me. My hair has just started to curl and she helped me learn how to wash and style my hair to rock the curls instead of hide them. Mariann was able to help me with a great cut that took out some of the thickness that drives me crazy. She also colored my hair to help me lose the harsh blonde highlights and I am so happy with how it turned out! I went to this salon after having a falling out with my old friend who was my hair stylist. I don't even know why I was torturing myself at her budget quality salon, when at a competitive price I got everything I wanted and then some. Michelle was friendly, attentive, and sensitive about my long hair. As any person with long hair knows, there are stylists who don't know the difference between a trim and a Locks of Love donation. She worked with me to get what I wanted even though I didn't know exactly how to verbalize what I wanted in cosmetology terms. Before she cut anything, she asked to make sure that it was ok.
