We were in the neighborhood, for some tulips U-pick. We just got back from a Road Trip, and don't really want any franchise restaurant, and we saw Rosie's on the highway before we exit. We spotted a retirement bus parked by, we know, if they're doing an outing and have to stop here for lunch, instead of eating in, then we picked a good spot. We were seated right away, wherever we wanted. I picked a table big enough for two, although I would have preferred the window spot, I was being nice by letting bigger crowds take the bigger table. We were given menu, and ordered right away. I thought, I was just going to have soup, the beef soup sounds appealing. But, I got 1/2 a Roast Beef sandwich, and found that in the Kiddie/Senior page. Hubby ordered the hamburger & cheese. Both came with pickles on the side. He's got potato salad, which we shared. I haven't had a Roast Beef sandwich, in such a long time, and with light mayo and mustard, and sliced of tomatoes & lettuce, it was just the perfect size and it was the homemade goodness, I had been looking for! We're glad, we made a quick stop here, before we went on our outing. Actually, we were planning to have a picnic by the lake, like we did during COVID, but seeing the retirement bus in the parking lot, made us forget what we planned to do. I was hoping, I'd recognize the people there, because it's a retirement home that I sometimes visit, or them recognizing me. But, it didn't happened. Country diner, with mostly locals enjoying Sunday breakfast this morning. Pleasant servers, good at keeping our coffee cups full and at checking in to be sure our needs were being met. (They were.) Menu is fairly extensive. A full page of vegetarian meals on back of menu, with many able to be made vegan upon request. As someone with a lighter appetite, I appreciate their Lite Menu options, intended for kids, seniors or anyone with a smaller appetite. They also have very large meals for those with voracious appetites. I had the Lite #1 which included one oversized pancake and two very large pieces of thick-sliced bacon. It was perfect. Food was fresh, prepared as ordered, and tasted good. Coffee was hot, fresh, and as mentioned, they kept it coming. Only negative was the excessive wait for food. After ordering, it was at least 45 minutes for our food to arrive. In reading other reviews, this seems quite common, so knowing this, I will plan accordingly for future visits, of which there will be many. Prices are reasonable. read more

My wife and I tried this place on a whim after visiting a friend of ours. Small, quaint, decent looking place. The interior was a little outdated but....we didn't care too much for that. We were ravenous! The place had a few patrons. Of course, because of Covid, seating was limited and the option to sit at a booth wasn't in the cards as every other one was taken. We chose to sit at a stand alone table with four chairs. The waitress and service, although slow, was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the fish & chips w/ side dinner salad, my wife ordered the seafood platter (something like that) w/ a cup of veggie beef. My food (in general) was good. The fish was meaty, cooked right, with a light crisp. I'm glad that it didn't come greasy at all, which I was surprised. I believe it was supposed to come with a slice of garlic toast, that didn't happen. I did ask for a side of tartar sauce (which meant an extra side) but only got the one that came with it. Got charged for it but didn't opt to say anything about it as I'll get to that later. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her food. She liked everything from the soup to the main course. I didn't try any of it other than the mash and gravy in which I thought it was a bit tasteless.....but that is just me. The overall experience was good. Like 3.5 good. The girls were nice and bubbly...just a little disorganized. Went to pay the bill and the other waitress tried ringing me up but there seemed to be an issue where she couldn't, so, had to wait until our main waitress was freed up. Something about their "ringing up" process. So, it took a little time for that to get dealt with. Although, the food was good, I did think it was a little over-priced. I believe the bill came out to $45 w/ tip which consisted of the two entrees and a soda. For a "diner-esque" place just off the Interstate, I found the place to be a bit spendy. However, the food is good and on the way North in Washington if you don't mind a little disorganization and 30 mph service. read more

It's a quaint little place right off the freeway which is super awesome. My boss actually brought the office to try the famous bacon and it didn't disappoint. I had the number 1. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff was really accommodating considering there were 12 of us there that day. My wife and I stopped at Rosie's with our three kids today. It's always a risk when you are traveling to stop at a diner. Fast food places are sort of cookie cutter--you know what to expect. Diners are a bit of a wild card. I'm happy to report that Rosie's was a pleasure. Very reflective of the typical family owned small town restaurant. Great food, friendly workers. One point I'd recommend needs an update is the bathroom (also common to the cross country travel experience). My wife and I decided to check out Rosie's for breakfast today. The ambiance is that of a diner with rustic tones. The waitress was very nice and helpful with our ordering. We decided to have an omelet, waffle, bacon, hot chocolate, and a chicken fried steak with eggs. Everything came quick and tasted pretty good, amazing hot chocolate! Great local diner. Stopped in for brunch with my son after a morning of fishing. Great service and tasty diner cooking.

I just want to start with the food was terrible! My food had no flavor and someone else at our table got biscuits and gravy and the dish was half cold and half hot while still tasting burnt. Then every one that got there after us was getting their food and our server never talked to us or check on our table. The service was just not existent. Also it's hard to want to eat my food when every light has dead bugs and all the fans were just caked in dust. read more

Fun place to try out. We were happy having breakfast with a smile. We were seated quickly with a party of 7. There was nothing fancy about the place. Simple but clean. The breakfast menu has a lot of choices and there's a vegetarian menu as well. Nice to have so many options. A lot of people in town love this place and I wish I could say the same. I've been here a couple times and was disappointed the times I came and never went back. I want to like the place and maybe I just need to give it another shot. The first time I went my brother got a steak and it was so freezer burnt unfortunately. The second time we went I got a burger and it tasted okay but it made me sick unfortunately. There seemed to be a lack of freshness but I am willing to go back and try again but after 2 not great experiences I'm in no rush to go back. Stopped in on my drive from Portland to Seattle for some breakfast. I ordered the Logger because it said the pancakes came out first as an appetizer. The pancakes could feed a family of 3. They were honestly some of the best pancakes I've ever had. The rest of the meal consisted of hash browns, two eggs and real sour dough toast and what I would say was about 6 slices of thick cut bacon. The coffee was good. Visited this morning at 10:55am. The sign said to seat yourself so we chose the one table that had menus on it. Perused our menus and knew what we wanted to order. Two additional couples came in after us. Waitress sat, greeted and took the f2nd couples order. Breezed around to our side, ignored us and wet to the 3rd couple to say she would be right back. Did not acknowledge us in any way. We had been there at least 12 minute by this time. We left and went to the Mexican Restaurant up the street where we were greeted and seated immediately. read more

I'm so glad we found this gem while we were in town racing. I'm so excited to know we have a place to get exceptional dinner when we are here for races! The food : hands down the best home cooked meal you will get. After a cold day full of racing, all we wanted was some good home style food. Oh boy, we got that and so much more. Everything has such good flavor, and is definitely cooked with love. The portions are more then enough for the price! Everyone at our table tried a bite of each others food, and there wasn't a single thing that wasn't magical. I personally was pretty obsessed with the pancake my daughter ordered. The split pea soup as well was perfection! I could have eaten a whole pot of the split pea soup and been happy as can be. The atmosphere: it's not the fanciest, but it's cozy and you feel at home here. Everyone was smiling and laughing. Rosie herself came to say hi to my kids and her face lights up when she talks to customers. We honestly felt so comfortable and at home here. The menu has so much to offer. I was so happy to see traditional meals like beef on toast, and other favorites from my childhood! I honestly can not wait to go back! Rosie's Restaurant has a good selection and quality of food. The restaurant has a small-town diner feel to it and seemed very clean. We only tried the breakfast but we loved everything we ordered. The hash browns were cooked to a perfect crisp! We received expedient, friendly, and attentive service during our visit and it wasn't very busy when we visited. The only reason I'm marking this as a 4 star is because of the price: with tip, it cost nearly $40 for 2 people to have a breakfast and coffee, and the portion sizes didn't make up for it.
