We have been here two times now and had the best food and service each time. We even met Rosie herself! This little diner is now our go to place when we are in the area (about 25 minutes from home.) Very nostalgic feeling at Rosie's.

Country diner, with mostly locals enjoying Sunday breakfast this morning. Pleasant servers, good at keeping our coffee cups full and at checking in to be sure our needs were being met. (They were.) Menu is fairly extensive. A full page of vegetarian meals on back of menu, with many able to be made vegan upon request. As someone with a lighter appetite, I appreciate their Lite Menu options, intended for kids, seniors or anyone with a smaller appetite. They also have very large meals for those with voracious appetites. I had the Lite #1 which included one oversized pancake and two very large pieces of thick-sliced bacon. It was perfect. Food was fresh, prepared as ordered, and tasted good. Coffee was hot, fresh, and as mentioned, they kept it coming. Only negative was the excessive wait for food. After ordering, it was at least 45 minutes for our food to arrive. In reading other reviews, this seems quite common, so knowing this, I will plan accordingly for future visits, of which there will be many. Prices are reasonable.

Side dinner salad & cup of veggie beef

My wife and I tried this place on a whim after visiting a friend of ours. Small, quaint, decent looking place. The interior was a little outdated but....we didn't care too much for that. We were ravenous! The place had a few patrons. Of course, because of Covid, seating was limited and the option to sit at a booth wasn't in the cards as every other one was taken. We chose to sit at a stand alone table with four chairs. The waitress and service, although slow, was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the fish & chips w/ side dinner salad, my wife ordered the seafood platter (something like that) w/ a cup of veggie beef. My food (in general) was good. The fish was meaty, cooked right, with a light crisp. I'm glad that it didn't come greasy at all, which I was surprised. I believe it was supposed to come with a slice of garlic toast, that didn't happen. I did ask for a side of tartar sauce (which meant an extra side) but only got the one that came with it. Got charged for it but didn't opt to say anything about it as I'll get to that later. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her food. She liked everything from the soup to the main course. I didn't try any of it other than the mash and gravy in which I thought it was a bit tasteless.....but that is just me. The overall experience was good. Like 3.5 good. The girls were nice and bubbly...just a little disorganized. Went to pay the bill and the other waitress tried ringing me up but there seemed to be an issue where she couldn't, so, had to wait until our main waitress was freed up. Something about their "ringing up" process. So, it took a little time for that to get dealt with. Although, the food was good, I did think it was a little over-priced. I believe the bill came out to $45 w/ tip which consisted of the two entrees and a soda. For a "diner-esque" place just off the Interstate, I found the place to be a bit spendy. However, the food is good and on the way North in Washington if you don't mind a little disorganization and 30 mph service.

Friendly, homey, "Diner" experience. My bacon was thick and crispy and the gravy was homemade meaty deliciousness, we may return for lunch!. Friendly staff, clean but aging. Highly recommend.Breakfast

Bacon is the best I've had. Service is great. I had to take home half of my meal! Worth the stop if you are in Woodland!

Service was good, this place is your standard local diner. The menu is basic and easy, food you can't go wrong with.

My now husband and I got married on June 20, 2026. If I had to choose one word to describe the day,…read moreit would be "fairytale." The empress staff was nothing but caring, professional, and supportive throughout our entire booking. We booked during our tour with Zoe back in February 2025, and he was very detailed in his explanation of the venue to us. Zoe also worked with us during our first planning session, and he explained everything thoroughly, gave us advice on what would be best for our budget, and helped us make the best choices for our day. Kim has a heart of gold and is the kind of person who makes you feel like family the second you meet her. We would talk with her at some of our tastings and communicate with her via phone and email. We had our final in-person planning session with her, and she listened to every fine detail we wanted added and made sure they were in our banquet order. We also added on a day-of coordinator, and thank god we did. Alexandria is a gem; it felt like she was in five places at once, always with an amazing attitude. She decorated our arbor and made it perfect, she coordinated our other decor items and made it look phenomenal, she was quick to adjust to last-second changes, she worked seamlessly with our other vendors to help the day run smoothly, and she helped perfectly execute our vision and made it a day we will never forget! The culinary team did an amazing job; the food was delicious. The head chef came out to check with us personally during the wedding to make sure we enjoyed the food, and we also saw him at a couple of tasting events, checking with guests, which shows how much care he puts into making sure the food is up to standard. The bartenders were very friendly and personable, the wait staff was quick and efficient, and a few times we have come to the venue to see the landscaping team working tirelessly to keep it looking beautiful! Many of our guests raved to us about how much they loved the location, the venue, and the food. Overall, our day was seamless, magical, and perfect in every way we could imagine, and we have everyone on the empress team to thank for that.

I am a wedding Dj and recently had the opportunity to dj at this venue. I'm not one to write…read morereviews but businesses like this who charge a lot of money and portray as elegant location. The interaction we had was less than elegance. The ceremony location was not suitable for guests who were arriving and ceremony getting ready to begin in 30 minutes. The hired wedding coordinator noticed pots that needed to be moved from the isle for bride which they were but venue staff left a huge noticeable hole on the ground and not thinking it needed to be covered or fixed with mulch. Their staff had to decide who was going to grab a rake and fix the hole since their title was management and not maintenance. While inside the reception area, I as a dj normally set an ice breaker for the crowd as good gesture place small lemonade spiked bottles under a chair on each table to get the crown up and moving and ready for the bride and grooms entrance. Well the male manager noticed a little bottle being placed and lost his cool in front of some guest and bride and grooms parents. I quickly walked over and said for him to cool down. Talk to me and don't yell at the guest he continued to say the outside beverage rule because they provide a bar service. I reiterated to him both times that I was not aware and this was simply an ice breaker to get the crowd going and we were not handing out alcohol for consumption throughout the night. He continued mumbling under his breath as he was also yelling at his staff to pay attention. The interior floors were dirty with dirt way before anyone went inside about 45 minutes prior to event to begin. Their lack of planning asking the dj to give tons of request regarding parking was absurd. If they have places they don't want guest to park, they label them or block them with cones. The dj does not need to give 10 announcements throughout the night as if they hired me. I ignored their request and just gave them a nod each time. If this is a venue, I'm assuming they deal with this challenge constantly. Figure it out. For the several issues we had, interaction with staff and venue challenges getting things ready last minute. The couple hired an awesome wedding coordinator who clearly does this for a living and was ready to dismiss the tables for dinner. Well the location staff had a rule for some reason she had to dismiss the tables herself. She had to get a smoke in outside every 5 minutes and was not seen while tables were walking up to me asking if it was their turn. Not that it was needed, i can run my gear my self, but they wouldn't give their WiFi passcode for the dj in case the guest needed a special request for a quick cue on Spotify. I definitely would not recommend this venue.
