I had the hard shell tacos. Ground beef and shredded chicken. Both were flavorless. My husband has the grilled chicken with vegetables and cheese sauce. That was good. The rice was bland. Not a huge selection of beer. The strawberry margarita had fresh strawberries in it but that was about it on the flavor. Services was good. They have a sauce bar with a lot of different options but mostly hot so that was a no for me. It is an older restaurant on the inside and the bathrooms as well. Very solid place for Tex-Mex. A great salsa bar. Old school vibe to the place. I had the flautas and this was quite a large portion. Four very large flautas. It comes with a small side of gauc. The wife did the Pepe's tacos. Pastor was really good. It came with a large side of gauc. Chips were nice a crispy. Service was pretty attentive. Imagine me dancing when I found out they have takeout margaritas bang bang bang. I heard that air horn that the DJ uses at the club (well I haven't been in a club in two years thanks COVID). First good sign the parking lot was packed I had to park off site, as I'm walking up I see a gentleman with about three pans of food he is like yep the food is good good. I walk in the while staff has on masks, I see gloves, I see sanitizer I like it. The host is like hey the quickest way to get your food is order at the bar easy day. Keep your eyes peeled or you'll drive right past. This is an absolute gem and proven so by all the locals who frequent it. MS tags fill the parking spaces which is always a good sign. Each time we have been it is packed and by all ages from teens to seniors and with the large menu, it's no surprise why. The salsa is a lovely mix with plenty of cilantro and a little kick to finish. We devoured a bowl. The cheese dip with pickled jalapenos was also delicious and we made a healthy dent in that. We shared a chicken fajita the first time and couldn't say enough good about it. This time we tried the lunch special #3 consisting of a taco, chalupa, beef/bean burrito. My better half had the Carne Asada. While I adored the taco and chalupa, as much as the fajita, the burrito was a bit sweet for me. Not sure why they added a sweetener, but it was a but much for my taste. However, it was a ton of food and while I made a good dent in it, it is definitely enough to share. The Carne Asada, while tasty, the meat was quite tough which put my man off, just a little but the flavor was good and the spicy jalapeno was great. Margaritas were top-notch. The atmosphere is wonderful and their outdoor dining area is also snappy and upbeat with a happy atmosphere. Each time servers were friendly and helpful. read more

This is genuinely the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The queso was gross, the chips were stale. I ordered a quesadilla and only half of it had steak in it, it was covered in grease and wasn't cut! My friend also ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was in the shape of a burrito, the chicken was clearly boiled and had literally no taste. Everything at this restaurant was low quality and had a severe lack of taste. Drove in for the weekend and used Yelp to find this little gem. So glad we did because it did not disappoint! My husband and I shared the Plato Especial and still brought home leftovers. As we drove up and saw the facility I knew we were in for a treat. The food here is perfect. The prices are way better than one would expect, very affordable. We were a crew of eight. Everyone ordered something different. I heard no complaints from anyone. We eat often in Houston, San Antonio where Mexican restaurant competition is tough. This place can drop in the top ten Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. Probably closer to the best. Service was perfect. Ordered two margaritas and they came out a bit different.
