Blanca was very helpful, friendly and provided guidance in ordering on a very extensive menu. This was our first visit. The service and food were outstanding. This is a $13-$15 meal anywhere else in the area and will be just as a good if not better! We have never had a bad meal or experience here. Tonight we had a burrito supreme with sour cream sauce instead of chili sauce, beef fajita machos and queso and chips. Salsa is always good(I like the hot) wait staff is friendly and keeps your drinks and chip basket full. Casual and conversation friendly, not having to talk over loud music or TV's. Large guacamole was not very large -- had 6 tiny scoops, more like a tablespoon each vs a "scoop" Though the Margs are great, probably won't go back simply because they're too stingy with the salsa. Hot is basically mild with a little bit of less destroyed tomatoes. The fajita combo of chicken and beef was okay but didn't have any real flavor. At least it was not overly salted like many other Mexican restaurants in the area do. I have pretty much come to the conclusion that the local Mexican restaurants have simplified there menus by removing any actual heat and flavors so as to appeal to the market where the customers have no idea what authentic Mexican food should taste like. read more

This place moved to the Arkansas side. My mom wanted to try it so I took her. I didn't tell her how bad it was last time because she really wanted to check them out. I had high hopes they had a new cook. Just awful! Zero flavor to tacos, enchiladas and chimichangas. Their cook must not like seasonings. Not even garlic or taco seasoning. My mom said she doesn't need to come back. (Thank goodness!) The gray hairs in here and the fact it's in Missouri tells you all you need to know about their 'Mexican' food. Zero heat to anything. Zero flavor to anything. It's like I went to my white great grandmothers for Mexican food. Seriously - have they never heard of any seasoning, cilantro, or peppers??? The first clue is their bead is ground. No shredded beef. Their shredded chicken had zero flavor. My boyfriend (who can't cook because he never puts enough seasoning) said his ground beef tasted like he cooked it. Lol Oh well. Just expected more because of the cars. The food was pretty good. Large enough servings and prices were reasonable. I had a small Marguerita which was good and my husband had a large mug of beer. When we got the bill they listed the marg as 16 oz, so I thought they billed me for the large one. ($8.50) They said no, that was a regular one. Low key Mexican restaurant next to a gas station on the Missouri border. They were quite busy but we were seated right away. Dark one room restaurant but lots of tables. Didn't have very attentive service, we had to wave her down to order and were never checked on once we got food. We had to ask for chips and salsa too b/c it was never delivered after we ordered. Food was good and delivered fast. We got burritos, enchiladas, and huevos rancheros. All was tasty but nothing special or different. Prices were good though and they offer lunch specials every day of the week. Probably wouldn't stop again but decent if you are traveling and looking for a quick bite to eat. read more

Hands down... the worst nachos I've had in a long time. Staff was super nice. Food was anything but nice.

The service was OK. I don't love the ambience. The food was bland. It's not traditional Mexican food nor is it Tex-Mex. I feel like this restaurant was trying too hard to be like Texas Tex-Mex but missing all the flavor. And if it's real Mexican food, then they need to call their Abuela! I do not recommend. Although the floors in the bathroom, were pretty darn cool. I did not take a picture of my meal. For two years this was my go to favorite restaurant-until they moved. I expected some price increase due to the expenses of a new location but they are pricing me out as my local favorite. Today I had ONE tostada, a SIDE ORDER of rice and my husband had a BOWL OF SOUP. The check, before the tip was $21. Again, this is one single tostada, a side of rice and a bowl of soup. Last week the tip prompt on payment allowed a 15% calculated amount but today the minimum was up to 18%. A custom tip option was available but not intuitive. If the new practice is to go "as high as the customer will pay" you have lost a loyal weekly neighborhood customer. I am writing this in hopes management will somehow see the review and reconsider. If they no longer want to be a restaurant for the locals then I wish them well with some sadness. read more

Nothing better than Huevos Chorizo with warm tortillas, rice and beans for breakfast. Added a 1/2 size biscuits and gravy to see if there was a spice twist. They were very good traditional B&G. We really wanted to like Rosita's as it is so close to our house. Unfortunately it has to be some of the most flavorless Mexican food we've ever had.
