I've eaten plenty of tacos. Like...Way too many tacos. I enjoy making tacos. But I've never had a Taco like this one before. The pulled pork with that pineapple salsa might be the best Taco I've ever had. I ordered two because it was the special of the day. And I had to order another one because it was that good. I would say a 3.5 stars. The service was excellent & the restaurant was clean, but to be a true yelper & foodie, I must give the honest truth about the food. It was not bad by any means, but it was not really authentic either... (Even considering the region the recipes came from). The good: the food seemed fresh and better than any Mexican I have had in Montana so far. The beans were actually my favorite part of my meal. The bad: the salsa was too "tomatoey", sweet, and bland. The beef was tough (but flavorful) & the rice was more of a middle eastern flavor which was weird. My husband ordered a side of guacamole and it was sadly mostly tomatoes. We thankfully ended up not being charged for the side and didn't even have to ask. Overall, I was pretty pleased with food, but was still disappointed. I have been trying to find descent Mexican food In the area, but I will probably just have to accept I'm not in San Diego anymore. The staff and service made up for my disappointment though. This place is amazing! Super burritos are huge! Seriously the food is delicious authentic Mexican food. My good friends dad opened this place up a few years ago, they recently sold it and are in the process of turning it over. Not what I'd consider good Mexican food. I feel like its mainly looked at as being great due to it being the only restaurant in town for Mexican style cooking, and most people this far North just haven't ever had actual real Mexican cooking(take no offence). The sauces taste generic and really bland with no flavor, like something you'd get out of a can, very disappointing to be sure. For how cheap it is to make genuinely delicious Mexican food, you'd think the prices on their choices wouldn't be what they are. Really you arent even getting much portion wise for the cost. Quite possibly the best Mexican food in Montana! Delicious homemade chips & salsa, great prices and real Mexican soft drinks!! We ordered the pork and carne tacos, the meat was so flavorful and delicious that we ordered another round!! Kids meals are priced awesome too!! Service was fast and friendly, can't wait to return!! Loved my visit to Rosita's! Started out with a horchata, homemade house salsa and chips. I couldn't decide between the carnitas plate and the fish taco so I got them both. The carnitas came highly recommended and it was so juicy and flavorful. The fish taco was huge like a burrito and was topped with a special secret salsa sauce that makes it taste so crisp. It's a lot of food, but so worth it! The place is family owned and everyone was so sweet and friendly. I'm coming back tomorrow! read more

Amazing dinner and staff. We order a meal to go for a family reunion. I wanted a taco bar for 13 people. Mindy was easy to work with and wanted to make sure everything tasted delicious. Food was hot and ready to go at the agreed upon time and stayed hot for the 1 hour drive. They did package everything so we could reheat, but it was not necessary. The guacamole was scratch made and the chip were delicious. Everyone commented about how yummy it was, so I was very pleased. Happy I found this gem. read more

Twice I've tried this place in the last week and both times gravely let down. First I ordered a platter with shredded chicken and corn tortillas. I had my order in 3 minutes. bit to fast for me, it was evident why when I received it. Chicken was microwaved and extremely dry. No freshness in that platter except the cold veggies. Second I had their double fisted burrito with shredded pork. Where was the pork. Had a small spoonful of DRY AGAIN pork. does anyone there know how to cook fresh. Don't waste your money!!! read more

This is a great place to eat in Libby. In fact, I would eat the food if they were located in a place known for prime authentic Mexican food. Sometimes small towns have to "deal with what they get" when talking about restaurants. But not the case with Rosita's. Great food, friendly and fast service, and well priced. I recommend the chicken nacho's. My only complaints are that the hours/days listed are sometime not the same hours/days they are open, and the burritos are sometimes too big. Normally not an issue right? The complaint comes because they only have one size. Kids and people with smaller appetites will never finish one. And if you don't eat leftovers the burrito is not for you. read more

The salsa is soooooo good and the chicken burrito was giant. It is a strong contender for the best burrito I've ever had. Definitely top three. Don't count this place out if you're in the area. It may seem preposterous, but some of the best burritos in the country can be found in this tiny Northwest Montana town. Rosita's serves authentic Tex Mex fare comparable to the best taquerias in San Francisco, Chicago, or San Diego. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I believe they shut down in the winter months, so it would be worth calling ahead if you're in Libby around December. read more
