Terrible customer service. This is the third time I come in and forget how rude they are. Left my things because of this. It's always the same lady that denies my son (6y.o) and I access to the bathroom and is completely rude about it. Certain workers are nice about it but one in particularly always tells us "no it's closed. No it's dirty." Even if it's dirty she could either clean it or just warn us about it. She wouldn't even allow us to use the men's restroom for my son. I'd rather take my business elsewhere than come back here. I'm writing this review to remind myself never to come again. read more

I'm only writing this review because it's so irritating that such an establishment can't do as much as put TOILET PAPER IN RESTROOM! I was here to do some back to school shopping and after staying hydrated in this hot city BAKERSFIELD I asked if I could use their facilities and I was hit with "We don't have any TP at the moment but you can use the restrooms next door-Lessens, Five Below or Burlington." If management can't even go out of their way to provide TOILET PAPER for Returning Paying Customers, there needs to be a change in who is in charge. Needless to say I had my oldest go to car and retrieve two paper towels. I'm not just upset and angry because I'm just thinking about me, but I think about the elderly or the kids getting potty trained like this is really F$@%&! UP!!! If you take the time to go through all the things they have here, you can score a few deals. The place is generally nice to come to, but avoid weekends and holidays. There was 30+ people in line to checkout. They had a good selection of things to choose from, but the service was lacking. Could have been better than it was. read more

This was not a good shopping experience and I normally love Ross. Usually they have pretty cute clothes for women and each time I have gone to Ross since last year absolutely nothing. Then my son found a wallet he wanted and we stood in a line 20 deep with two check stands open. The line was going down the main isle it was insane. Then when we finally get called she doesn't say hi or any greeting at all. Just rang us up and not even a goodbye or thank you. I want to say it's because stores aren't able to find help. That's not the case with Ross I have been a faithful customer for years and it doesn't matter which location same thing two check stands. Why??? I was in here today with my wife. Of the six registers in the store to pay for merchandise, only two were being used. And there were at least 20 shopping carts and the people attending them waiting to pay out and go. Management at this store needs to do the job of getting the money from the customer and getting the customer out the door. No customer service at this one, we walked out , not going to wait in a fucking line like that to give these assholes money. read more

OMGG, in line for over 30 minutes all because my sister wanted a decanter set for Christmas and they had a deal on a set! 2 registers opened and people not coming back from their breaks. I'm not a big fan of shopping at places like Ross. But hey, sometimes a girl just needs a good deal. I came in here to get some work clothing for my new job. I definitely had to do a lot of searching to even find the business clothes section. Once I found it, they had an alright selection and I picked up a few things at a great price. 4 blouses and 3 pairs of pants for $55.00. Score! The ladies at the checkout made it quick and painless. This Ross Dress For Less store must be a new store. We walked in, and the first thing I noticed is that everything looked sparkling and organized. I'm used to walking into Ross locations and seeing a very messy disorganized store. That was not the case today. We got to "Experience The Treasure Hunt" as it says on one of their walls. Much easier to experience when the store is clean and neat like it was today. After browsing for about an hour, we found some stuff for the home. Prices were inexpensive compared to other places we've been. We left as happy campers! Sure hope that they keep this store clean, neat, and orderly for a long time to come. read more

Are the bargains really worth it? This location is so dirty, managed poorly, employees do not take pride in their work place. I walked in and almost turned right around products all over the floor EVERYWHERE! One employee at the register and over 10 guest in line. I didn't find what I had hoped to but there were so much to choose from. About a year ago I found a pink Chi straightener here for $49.99 and I saw the same one when I visited recently! Returned a table today. A side table made with Mango Wood which I recently discovered had WOOD WORMS eating away at it. I brought it in with its eaten away holes and two dead carcasses in a ziplock baggy. Selection? Not so much. Always looks like everything has been picked over. Also, not the neatest. There is this friendly dude, however, that added a star to their rating. DO NOT come here! We waited in line for 20 minutes. There were about 30 separate people waiting in line and only 2 cashiers working! That shows very poor management. I even commented to the cashier that with a line that big there needs to be more cashiers working! I didn't say it is a mean way, just giving constructive criticism. I know that ross is known for making their customers wait in line forever, but it's ridiculous when you have 15 people in line with only on cashier while two employees talk near the changing room. So I really use to love shopping at Ross but the customer service at the registers makes me not want to come there any more. Why do we have to grab our own receipts. What does it represent? What is the benefit? Also when did they stop giving away the hangers? Is it a cost saving factor? I get it that part if it is. So the reason for the 2 star is because when I asked if I could keep the hanger the way she said no was rude and to tell to grab my receipt was not very nice either. Ross has always been a go to place for me until today that is!! I recently purchased a pair of jeans, they didn't fit correctly so I brought them back to exchange them for a different size. So as arriving I let the cashier know I did not have the receipt but I was not looking for a refund, a simple exchange is all I wanted. I was dumbfounded to be told that without the receipt I was only able to receive 99 CENT in store credit! Absolutely RIDICULOUS!! If you shop here with kids make sure you take them to the restroom before you come. I came to shop with my daughter and she needed to use the restroom and they would not allow her to.
