Lucky for me, that shop was Forema and they have not succumbed to the Park Avenue tax (which only exists in my head and not with the state or city) so there were affordable options! There are plenty of racks of clothes and gifts but what called to me was the jewelry. Each piece was unique and there was something for everyone. Though it leans pretty boho chic, I imagine even the preppiest of sorority girls (Rollins) would find something to fawn over. I ended up buying a few necklaces, each priced at under $20, and a few tiny rings. Though the necklaces aren't real gold or silver, I see similar designs at stores nearby (and online) for ridiculously inflated prices. One necklace I wore even into the shower eventually lost its gold sheen and turned a dark silver, but I actually dig the look and am still happy with it. Overall, I'm thankful for a place on the avenue that caters to a broader economic audience at least.

It is crowded and a bit messy but that is normal to some thrift stores and there were some people with huge piles of clothing on their carts So there has to be some kind of value there... Minimum 1 inch sleeve, four inches from the bottom of the knee and not past the ankle in length, and a "modest" neckline. Asha took the challenge on started pulling dresses as we walked and talked all the way to the fitting rooms. We found the one and in less than 15 minutes. We were on our way to getting hair done! I could honestly spend hours browsing here, but I do need to be looking for something specific in order to have success. I love to shop here for shoes and clothing brands that I love at more affordable prices. Most recently I was looking for leather loafers for work and shorts for summer. I was able to find both! I got some very comfortable Cole Haan loafers and a couple pairs of athletic shorts/skorts, plus a pair of jean shorts. They had some really cute pajamas as well, but I used self control and did not purchase them. I also love to shop here for toddler shoes for my son. They have discounted Adidas, Converse, New Balance, etc. in his tiny size and they are just adorable.

This store is located next to Briarpatch Restaurant so its a good store to walk in and window shop while waiting to be seated for Briarpatch. It is a very pretty little boutique, that not only offers women's clothes, but also for kids and of course accessories. I decided to go here and noticed how the abundance of items on the outer walls of the store were empty. I wandered to the garden center which was in the side, in a smallish room area and found the perfect table for all of $16. It will hold the small batch of plant pots with the flowers I am working to keep alive (I don't have a green thumb so it really isn't easy for me).
