Today a supervisor named Michael at the Draper Utah retail store abruptly called me a "racist" when I wasn't even speaking to him because he misunderstood a word I used. He said he'd call the police if I didn't leave! When I I told him that I'd wait for the police (because I didn't do anything wrong), he recanted his threat. As I was leaving I told Michael that he didn't deserve to work there and that I'd contact his corporate office to report him, which I've since done. BTW, I'm an elderly person-of-color and I KNOW what racism is. I've never had this experience before at any Ross store, let alone any other place of business! read more

Seems to be limited options on a lot of things. Regardless I would still return. I was specifically looking for maternity things and there was little to nothing available. Every Ross is a hit or miss and unfortunately today wasn't my day but I did find a bunch of random baby things i could use. Service wasn't bad, standing in line tho which was maybe 8mins 2 customers were stopped because of beeping, yikes! Doesn't look like anything was stolen but that something wasn't scanned or something wasn't removed off of packaging? It was weird! But still not a bad spot. read more

What's the difference between this Ross and others? Two answers: 1) Nothing and 2) Not much. 1) Nothing I was inside of this store last weekend as part of our holiday shopping bonanza. What to get for mom? I dunno, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Clearly I haven't learned my lessons in past years, and we finally ended up getting her a nice BBQ set (not from Ross) and a photo of ourselves with the puppy, because nothing says "I love you" like a picture of me. So we were wandering around Ross and I actually forgot where I was. On the inside, it's exactly like most other Ross locations I've been to. How many have I been to? Well, I used to work out of town a lot, and it seemed like someone in my group was always forgetting a belt or needed new shirts while on the road, so I've seen my fair share of Rosses from sea to shining sea. Same shoe departments with some nice shoes and some crazy looking footwear, coats, tons of jeans, shirts, some hats (best score of my Ross life was an I've got the hook up" pirate hat for $2.99 somewhere in southern California) and then random sections of kitchen goods, wall art, linens, and accessories. All discounted. Some more than others. 2) Not much. While the inside is the same, the outside only varies slightly from Ross to Ross. This one is located on the north side of 123rd in the complex with a bajillion other businesses. Kohl's is the other biggie here, but lots of stuff in between and in stand-alone stores in the parking lot. Very suburban strip-mally. Bleh. read more

As I've said with other locations I've reviewed for Ross, you can find good deals there if you look around. But there's other similar stores that have better quality items (especially clothing), better customer service and comparable prices, so be sure to shop around. If you've been to any of their stores you know what to expect, and what not to so I don't really need to say too much about that. You don't go to Ross for stellar customer service, well organized or tidy stores. You go to find bargains. That's it! This particular store is actually kept a lot more tidy than the one in the District (South Jordan) which I actually think is an experiment in Chaos theory. Obviously at any store there's going to be a certain type of customer who will pick things up to look at them and instead of putting them back where they got them throw them on the floor or drop them off in another aisle, but staff here seems to be a lot better and keeps on top of it which is good. For that, this Ross actually earns itself 3 stars! read more

I shouldn't even be giving this store one star. Every time I go here I leave slightly dissatisfied but tonight was a deal breaker!!! My husband has a medical condition and when he needs to go to the restroom... he has little time before things get serious. He was having a major poop emergency, we've all been there before, and he went to the back to use the restroom and no one was there. He went to the front to have someone open the restroom door for him and one of the workers said she would be back there in a minute. She continued her conversation with her male friend that was there and it didn't look like she would make it to the back in time so we had to leave. She apologized on the way out and said she 'forgot' when he literally asked her not even 2 minutes prior. I was sooo upset I wanted to yell at her and tell her friend to let the girl work while she is working. I won't be going back to this location for awhile and Nia I hope you get fired! I was just walking around with my longboard, HOLDING IT!! and they said that if i am going to carry my longboard, i Had to leave. I was simply just holding my longboard in my hands, not bothering ANYONE. So basically the message they are sending is that someone with a stroller, or crutches cannot shop in their store. If i am holding my longboard, it is like holding a purse?! so why would she kick us out. while we were walking out the store. she continued to speak rudely of us when we said we were leaving. she said, "yes please." read more

This has to be the most picked over and sad Ross store I have been to. Almost empty of anything but clown shoes above size 10, and the very few things remaining on the racks look like they should be on clearance. I had given this location many chances. Tonight I asked the gentlemen what was going on and he said they are transitioning between Winter and Spring. Interesting, I don't doubt that, but I have been visiting Lehi and Orem locations for maybe 14 years and don't remember anything like this. Certainly not this nice guys fault, but I believe the seasonal change could be something planned for - like at the other locations? Something odd is going on. read more

I've been to dozens of Ross stores from coast to coast and hands down, without a doubt, this Ross in Draper is your best option for complete lack of over complicated selection. No, no, with this Ross you'll get one, perhaps two item to choose from, and often none! I can't tell you how much time this saves; you can go in, browse, and leave within minutes, or just skip the store completely. At this Ross they really are thinking of your busy day. Plus. If you do venture in, you'll be greeted with wide open spaces sparsely populated with half empty racks making it a breeze to browse or even see they don't have what you need right from your first step in the door! Now, I know what you're thinking and let me assure you, I've asked a couple of times and NO, the store is not closing and they are not waiting for the next season's shipment to arrive. They just really suck at this location. Perhaps the store manager has never seen another Ross or maybe they just can't afford the inventory since they are easily paying for twice the floor space they need in an expensive shopping center. Whatever the reason, be assured this Ross is a must miss for those with time or interest in shopping, but if you're in a hurry, rushing out of town, or finding that last minute gift, rest assured this Ross won't have what you're looking for so no need to waste time looking. I had Very bad experience with the manager, I have purchased $150 clothing for work and lost the recipe, I had to go to the store 3 times to ask for a duplicate after providing the necessary information twice. The manager failed to call me and when I got there the third time he told me that he couldn't find the receipt. The store is a hot mess! read more

Myself and my spouse purchased a few items last minute to wear to a wedding that day. One of the shirts was missing when I got home but paid for according to the receipt. We needed the shirt to coordinate with the dress so we went back within an hour. We got there and were told by the manager, Sam, that the that helped us and everyone else that was there previously has gone home for the day and they couldn't help. In fact, Sam stated he didn't know what I was asking after explaining multiple times I wanted the shirt and provided the receipt. This shirt was the cheapest item on our receipt, a whole $7.50 with tax. He even implied that maybe we lost it. Finally after his half attempt at looking for the shirt and my frustration he offered a refund. There was no attempt to look up the item or find a replacement for it. Literally could not be bothered and was rude, I'm a patient person but I have never been treated so poorly by someone over such a simple issue. On another note, the security guard, Jarren (I believe) was an angel and very nice and apologetic even though it was not his responsibility to have to apologize. He also acknowledged that we were in a hurray and tried to get in touch with whomever we needed to get the issue resolved quickly. read more

i went in with some friends. we were holding our longboards and walking around trying to find some cloths. a worker came up to us and said "either you put those at the front, or you leave" first of all why is this such a big problem? i looked around for my friends so we could get the heck out of there and as i'm looking around she continues to yell at us. my friend says "ya let's leave" and the worker says "yes, please do!" extremely rude workers, i'm not going back any time soon. read more

This Ross is nicer than the one near where I live. Great variety and relatively nice stuff. Went to shop for a dress and sunglasses. The dresses didn't have a great variety, but I was able to find a couple that would work. Also, I got some great sunglasses for a very good price. The staff was friendly. read more

No I don't like this place. It's cheap, and messy. But that's exactly what you expect, so how can I hate? You go in expecting to search through a ton of mismatched and unorganized racks to find one shirt, or one pair of pants, or a wallet dropped by another customer that has enough money in it to cover lunch. If you manage your expectations appropriately and are diligent in your search, you should be able to come away with something worthwhile. If you're not down to do that, then just pay triple at Macy's...it's all relative. read more

Called the store to see if they had a swimsuit for my son. Matt answered the phone and verified they had 3 options. I asked if he would hold them at customer service because I would be at the store in 10 minutes to which he replied he would. When I arrived at the store, I stood in line for approximately 10 minutes to get to the front cashier, I inquired about the swimsuits. After contacting Matt, he directed me that I would have to go to the back of the store to retrieve the swimsuits. This is contrary to what he had promised. There was no recognition for the inconvenience this has caused me from either Matt or the associate. Before retrieving the swimsuits from the back of the store, I was directed to. Return to where I was and they would be able to help me once they were finished with their transaction when I returned, they instead helps other people in line. After inquiring if I had to rejoin the line to be helped I was told to "hold on". I then finally after being in the store for 20 minutes, hoping it would only be for less than two minutes, was able to pay for the merchandise and leave. Needless to say, because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location! read more

The manager that was on the night shift was so unbelievably rude when i was trying to return an item. He claimed the receipt or tag was wrong but thats how i bought it. He was EXTREMELY rude. He didn't need to have an attitude. He dished his attitude & got it right back. In the end, i still received my refund but that's not how a MANAGER should act towards the customer. read more
