So I'm here to write an update on the story further more. She was telling me that my dog couldn't be here and that I had to get out. Mind you it's not my first time I been inside the store with my dog. Just a heads up my baby is a shih tzu so she tiny but can preform her medical task to assist me in my health BUT this lady just keept calling her team on the radio to get me out of the store but when her team arrive they told me I could stay since THEY ARE PET FRIENDLY and SERVICE DOGS ARE ALLOWED! Shame on her, I forgot her name but she is a medium size black lady with a bob cut wig, and chubby. She the one that follow me even though her supervisor said I'm allowed inside. She kept being behind my back, so after I was done shopping I heard her saying "God finally she gone" like excuse me???? I was never not alllowed in and her BIG EGO wanted to be in the rights! Will never go again and if I could I will give it 0 stars and report it to management if I knew her name. read more

Good products but the heavy set loss prevention lady working 4/2 at night needs some manners and customer service skills. She tried demanding i put the shopping cart "where it belongs" after checking out and then had the never to say something under her breath and roll her eyes. I tried on 6 items. I was going to buy 3 items. The manager of this store (2400 SH-6 S, Houston, TX 77077 United States) was rudely forced me have to hang the items that I was going to buy on the hangers for her employee to count. I wonder why they couldn't count the items without hangers as other stores do? Why they made it too complicated?! and disrespectful! I never been in this situation that was forced to hang on the clothes that I was going to buy! This is the first time in my life! I was upset and changed my mind-didn't want to buy those anymore. She called security to watch me not to come back to the fitting room. She treated me like I were a thief!? What's a rude and disrespectful person! I wonder why she is a manager!? i usually come to this ross location because its more convenient for me because its closer. i really only have a problem with the lack of attention to the tidiness!! dont even get me STARTED on the shoe aisles. i dont know if its just me who pays attention to this but there are so many shoes scattered all over the floor. i once found a pair of shoes with (what i'm gonna assume is) grease/food stains on it but i'm just gonna assume that its from ignorant customers that just ate food (probably wing stop because its nearby lol) but other than that service is good!! read more

I like this Ross alot. Jackie is always very nice and helpful. She works very hard every time I'm in the store. The lady where you try on clothes is nice too. There are customers we hi will actually yell and threatened the staff bc they want to take something they already bought or brought into the store into the dressing room. The manager guy needs to put up a sign in back at the dressing rooms that the customers are not allowed to take items they've already bought into the dressing room. Jackie, the lady at the dressing room deserve a raise...they put up with a lot of rude customers. I tried contacting corporate, no answer. Hope they read this. This location is always filthy, the lines are always long, and the loss prevention associates are extremely overzealous. I was told that I couldn't finish a half bottle of water, and was referred to a tiny, inconspicuous sign on the door that banned eating and drinking. Normally, water is not included in such rules... which is most likely due to the fact that humans are made up of 75% water. Paul Blart, Ross Security Cop probably didn't know that tidbit. Anyways, I left the store, and went to the clean TJ Maxx that was down the street (Westheimer & Eldridge), and surprise! I wasn't accosted for trying to hydrate myself. I also stood in line for all of 5 minutes, and I didn't have to step over piles of clothes on the floor while I was shopping. Hmm... This might have just turned into a review for TJ Maxx. So, yeah. Just go to TJ Maxx instead. Lol. read more

I think the loss prevention guy is on a power trip he seems hyped up on something? The second you walk in the store it's uncomfortable. Loss prevention was being extremely rude to a woman making her dig everything out of her purse being condescending I'm sure she was embarrassed. I came into the store earlier today , I was greeted by a tall freckled face male. I politely asked if they can remove the magnetic device from my jacket that I purchased at another store, I even have my receipt in hand ( I was trying to avoid being late returning to work) The Tall freckleface Man angrily snapped at me know his tone made me look him in the eye and he was glaring me down as if I were a thief. I instantly felt uncomfortable. Because of his short angry tone I asked, I'm sorry does that go against your policy or do you not have the same device. Again he angrily snapped at me, Both!! As I turned to leave he says, " but we also don't have that device." I turn to him and say that was the answer I was looking for and proceeded to leave. I don't understand how hard it was to say something like "I'm sorry ma'am we are not able to do that for you" I don't understand why he was so hostile and rude to me probably because of my age I am a 28 year old female. I don't know what power trip he is on or maybe he hates his job because he could not go to college and get a real career but there is no need to be rude to people! After reading the reviews I see that he is very rude to a lot of customers. Clearly Ross headquarters does not read these reviews but for customers like me who do you would benefit a lot better spending your dollar elsewhere!! read more

Hey Ross, I've noticed a lot of customer service complaints on your page and have usually ignored them since I usually know what I'm getting into when I'm shopping at Ross. However, I had such an infuriating experience just now at your Houston location (westheimer and Hwy 6) that I had to go to social media to give you some feedback. Perhaps with enough feedback from your customers, you might want to implement some sort of customer service retraining program in your stores for employees. Since it's after the holidays, I understood that there would be a lot of shopping and long lines to wait in. What was infuriating in my experience is that a woman who got in the wrong line was allowed to cut in front of me when she got up to check out. I realize we were both waiting for a while but there was one person checking returns (that takes much longer than purchases) whereas purchases had three lines open. Though she got to the other purchase counter quicker than I, her line was also moving faster because three counters were open. When she decided to cut in front of me and all the people waiting behind me, the cashiers backed up her move. Supporting her move insinuates that her time is more important than everyone else that was in the line in the store and that the rules in the store don't really matter. I also value my time and don't like spending my day waiting in lines. That doesn't mean I get to cut around wherever I want, especially when it happens to be that I am the one who makes a mistake. An employee could have asked her to go to the end of the line and wait just like everyone else or another lane in returns and exchanges could have been opened. This situation was handled very poorly by your employees and was very disappointing. I would caution everyone going to this location to lower your customer service expectations greatly when shopping at this location. read more
