I managed to find a couple cute dresses here recently! Ross is my go to for dresses and I enjoy hitting different location. I rarely get through Ross without a big line- any location. I guess that speaks to the value, they are always busy and have lines. This location had a doozy of a line last time I was in and after about 8 minutes a second cashier came up to help clear the line. I am sure I will be back. read more

Hello, I shop at this Ross pretty often, and recently had a horrible experience with an employee named Glory, she is very nasty and very blunt with customers. I remember I was just asking where an item was and she made a very snarky comment saying "just look at the signs, and you'll see where it is." Also this same day, I overheard her talking to some hispanic people that came in looking for a job and as far as I know you do not discriminate against anybody and she told them "if you don't speak english, I'm not going to hire you, I can't help you" I understand on some behalf but last time I checked you give everyone a chance to showcase they're skill instead of immediately saying no because you don't speak the same language, she is a very nasty and rude person, she should be fired ASAP no questions. I haven't shopped at Ross in over a decade. But, now that I can fit their clothes I come here every now and again to get a cardigan, candle or cross body. The security isn't overbearing, the customer service is alright and my short trip to Ross always turns into a vacation: staying too long and spending too much money! read more

My daughter loves this store because she can find really nice, affordable, stylish clothing for teenagers. Me, on the other hand, am not too thrilled with the "women" section of clothing which appeared quite old fashioned and stuffy. In general, the store always seems to appear like they just had a humongous sale with bare shelves and disarray everywhere, quite messy and disorganized. On the other hand, the workers we encountered were quite nice. The home goods section was interesting. No rhyme or reason to what you found, but a lot of really interesting things on the shelves. read more

I went to buy a slip to wear under my skirts and dresses. They had none. They do have lingerie, but no slips. So, I decided I would look at the full sized women's section. I did not find anything at all. I also went to the dress section, all picked over. I do like their nick knacks and house ware items. The prices are very good here. This store stays busy. Went here after stopping in at Michaels Craft Store. It was January 5th, so I was shocked that the store shelves were nearly empty and the racks were bare. I thought the store must be going out of business. I am used to seeing a Ross store packed full of merchandise and this place had bare shelves. I should have taken pictures because it was shocking! I even asked the sales people if they were going out of business because it sure looked that way. The just shrugged and said it was like that every year after the holidays. I say they need to get their acts together and start stocking their shelves! I managed to find a few items for my crafts, but it was slim pickings and I didn't find near what I was looking for. This is my second time in a Ross store. The first time was very brief. I remember it like it was yesterday (although it was 2009 to be exact) because I walked into a busy store with a line snaking like it was some 80s dance formation, and there were people excited to shop the racks, fallen items on the floor and search for a mate to a shoe from the various many strewn about as if Monty Hall was going to give them $500 if successful in discovering a mate before some nonexistent countdown clock buzzed. I remember all of that chaos and confusion vividly as it took me a 30 second walk through with a scowl in tow before pushing through the exit doors vowing never to return. Never say never. However, this visit didn't make me a Ross loyal customer either as it annoyed the hell out of me at every messy turn. The only good thing I may say about the visit was the Loss Prevention guard standing at the entrance welcoming everyone who enters into Ross. From there it went down hill as I took a sweeping view from far back corners of the store and then my visual sweep stopped as I panned to the right of me to see a mountain (not a molehill) of women's shoes just piled into a makeshift Egyptian pyramid on the floor and the seating used to try them on for size. As the well staffed store had blinders on to this 'shiggedy' I was witnessing, and doing nothing about it, I guess to them how it was created in the middle of the women's shoe area was a mystery; much like the Egyptian Pyramids! I had a photo snapping field day of bad to worse housekeeping and of course the service was non-existent as well. I remember that being what I remember (just like the visual mess) in 2009 at a sister location in the St John's Town Center the most. So it's not what's important to their corporation it would appear. But since Loss Prevention payroll is obviously high on their list to have a guard on full time, I'm beginning to wonder why? and for what?? especially since recovery, merchandising and associates to peruse the lay of the store to help prevent such Loss Prevention possibilities seems absent in the job description of the staff. I counted several empty garment housings and sensors with removed pins disconnected and discarded in obscure places that my eagle eye discovered. And to my OCD nature, I did them a favor and merchandised by size and brand the rack of men's underwear and undershirts before leaving so someone could at least appreciate something looking decent and shop worthy. "You're welcome", Ross employee who kept looking at me quickly merchandise that rack in under 5 minutes with his quizzical stare. When I exited, on the window past the cash wrap was a "We're Hiring Talented People" cling. Well hell, I'm not in the market but my audition is on their surveillance cameras and boy wonder who stood speechless watching me rework that underwear rack captured and missed their opportunity to spot my talent. Which goes to show, what I did for free I'm sure they're supposed to have done as they're on the payroll of Ross Corporation. I digress. Two stars instead of one for the LP warm greeting for what it was worth. read more

A trip to the Arlington Ross is a lot like getting your nipples sewn together. It's stupid. And it hurts. Half of the people who work there treat you as if you are a scab they picked off two seasons ago. If I wanted to experience life on the inside, I'd rob a Macy's, thereby skipping Ross. Seriously. I came here not expecting much and that is what I got. Was really looking for some home good items (just bought a house) and there was next to nothing here. It looks like they just had a sale but I know that's not true because Ross never has sales. There were only a couple of items that had a match, everything else was the last piece left over. So I have been in Ross three tines here in Jax. Not once have I ever had to hang my clothes on a rack. She told me to hang my dresses on the rack. I asked her three times before she answered me. I had no idea tbey started this routine.She handed me my card with a number on it And SHE poked me in my chest. I was pissed. I got management. He said he would give me a discount. Customer service and supervisors could use more training. This location needs to look more into making their employees happy. Happy employees give great service = happy shopping experience for the customers. However, this philosophy was not present when I last stepped into this store. Supervisors need to address customer service in a professional manner instead of embarrassing the cashiers and customers. Common now, you guys, get it together. read more

Love Ross but this store is so so messed up! Nothing is in any order by size or section! The sign hanging are meaningless! It takes forever to find clothes in your size You literally have to go through all the racks to find maybe one dress in your size! What are the employees doing? They all lack training and personal service attitude! Even the kitchen and home goods is a mess! The only one working there with a personality is the security guard!
