Despite the other designers being quite capable, we ultimately chose Jill Abelman and her team at Inside Style. My husband, having designed previous houses, knew that not only did we need someone who could get the job done right, but that it should also be enjoyable and fun. This is what originally sealed the deal with Jill. She's genuinely happy, kind, energetic, and passionate about helping her clients. She brings a lot of joy and excitement to her projects. But don't be fooled. Despite her openness and easy-going nature, she is a powerhouse. This women has an eye, the contacts, the know how, and the will power to find the perfect flooring, furniture piece, fabric swatch, custom wall covering, accessories, .... even lightbulbs. From the first contact, Jill and her team were responsive and professional. Her contract and pricing were reasonable. A great listener, Jill wanted to learn about our style and was open to our ideas. (But she was also gentle enough to talk us out of our not-so-good ideas! Whew! haha!) They offered well-rounded room design presentations with great options, and were flexible to shift gears if we chose. Creativity and patience abounds. Their proposals are thorough and easy to read, accounting for purchases and progress. Their location in downtown Las Vegas was very convenient, and we appreciated their process of receiving and inspecting items before delivery. Every vendor that they brought in - contractor, movers, artists, etc. were top notch. Even after the final furniture installs, the Inside Style team has stayed with the project until the last little candleholder was purchased. They are all about getting the details right and seeing it through to the end... There is a sense of relief and pride that overcomes when a major project is finished right. Jill and Inside Style were the right choice, the perfect choice. We are over the moon about our new house. It is all we could have imagined and more! My biggest fear was an interior designer who was going to create a space for me to their own ideals and creating a space that I could not afford. Jill addressed all of my concerns to create not only an esthetic space, but she was very practical about it. She addressed all of my needs and knew everything I wanted from a simple email and phone call. Maybe its experience, maybe its a gift, but she knew almost exactly what I wanted. I love that!! We found some really cute felt wall decorations, a couple of Frida Kahlo keychains and magnets. The store had so much stuff - mugs, wall decor, clothing, even ice cream and candy, and yet the place had a very open feel to it. I was positively charmed by the entire place! There were a few things she wanted to purchase but because of that, we took our business elsewhere. Working retail is all about customer experience and last night we felt like we were being judged. I found some Stonewall Kitchen merchandise right around the corner and of course I bought a couple Jars, one for a Christmas gift and one for a friend. (Blueberry was the one for the friend) They had Christmas and Halloween Decor but were just getting around to the Christmas stuff so the Halloween stuff was discounted, in fact so were the Jams I bought, 25% off! I was greeted by another woman who welcomed me into the store.... and then a man and then another woman behind the counter, all very friendly and asked if I needed any help, I was pretty amazed by this because some stories you go in and are ignored.... They had diffusers and oils and candles, usually my thing but spendy, around $45 for a single candle up to $60 and not knowing if the brand has a good throw or not when lit makes me hesitant to buy, I am sure for that price it would mind you but again, not knowing for sure..... that is a lot to spend...PM me though if you have tried any and they have excellent throws, I will go back this weekend and buy a couple (Thanks) All in all, I would go back because they were adding more items and Id like to see what they add next. We were in the Las Vegas Downtown area and I saw that Art Box was new and in the Container Park…read morearea. They are now located on level 1 near the entrance to the Container Park. We received a warm greeting by an artist (she may have been the owner, I'm not sure). She introduced us to her two doggies whom were so friendly and were totally rocking their sunglasses and cowboy hats that their mommy made for them. They were so cute! We looked around at the various local artist booths inside the shop, and we picked up a homemade ring and a Vegas Vickie photograph on canvas. Prices were all so reasonable and we were so happy we could support a local business and local artists in Las Vegas. Definitely stop in if you're in the Las Vegas area and are exploring the downtown area!
