Long lines to try on clothes. they created a makeshift fitting room in the front of the store and closed the large fitting room in the back of the store. The reason we were given is that the workers don't like being in the back so they prefer we use the TWO fitting rooms in the front of the store. Pure laziness, the opposite of basic customer service. The Ross in Rancho Cucamonga on Foothill is way better and has way better stuff. read more

This ross is always clean and merchandise never feels crowded. Aisles are easy to access with shopping cart. They have available fitting rooms in the front of store. Perfect time to shop is when they just opened. Not many people in the morning. I enjoy the variety in clothes and style in plus size selection. Great value in plus size dresses as well. read more

Sadly this Ross did not survive the holidays shopping apocalypse, everything had been wiped out, gone, vanished without a trace, I never seen anything like this, most stuffs were kept minimal on tiny racks and empty shelves, some sections still have a big gap to fill, and nothing had been restocked yet, please bring back all the new items, or at least do something to make them look full again. read more

Since this is just outside of the Ontario Mills mall, it's easy for people to forget that this Ross exists. This makes it an excellent spot for shopping since it's WAY less crowded and it also seems to be more organized than the Ross up the street in Rancho Cucamonga. The fitting rooms are towards the front and there's only two stalls. Didn't find too many great dresses but there were lots of options. Overall I'd say visit this Ross for a stress free experience. read more

This was our first time here at this location. We needed work shoes and work out clothes. There is a great selection of outfits to choose from. Terrible customer service. First while I was waiting at the jewelry counter I was second in line. The cashier told me to wait I was next. Fine no problem. A Hispanic woman walked up tapped on the counter stated she wanted to see something in the case. The Gir suddenly opened the counter. I informed her I was next. She then called for more assistance so she could finish helping the woman who came after me. I waited while she laughed and prove checked items. After a while I asked her if she could call for help, no response. Finally it was my turn I received the most stale service with balled up clothes in the bag. While she was ringing up my sister she looked at me and called for back up. I don't know if people that look like herself or the woman that tapped in the counter that require or are the only ones that require rush assistance but this was very disappointing service. No smiles, no feeling as if your dollar keep the doors open. If you want better customer service take time to go down the road to the next Ross; because this is not the place if you want great customer service, or to feel like a valued customer! And to think I brought out of town guest to this location only to be disrespected. Training / morning huddles should require reminders that customers (make that repeat customers) are what pay the bills and keep the doors open!!! read more

I was in Ross and a little AFRICAN AMERICAN child approached me and asked me to help him find his Mom. I took him to the front and advised the employee whose response was to stare at me as another employee walked past us. The young child could only tell me his Mom's name, the employee paged her ONCE. The child appeared to be on the spectrum and they wanted to sit him on a chair near the exit door. I told them no I would stay with him. He saw his Mom and they were reunited. I got a bunch of toddler outfits that were all attached together with the security tag and the manager said he couldn't sell them to me because they were only two piece outfits but all of them were attached with a security tag with three items and I told him that's not my problem because they all are like that in the back and he said he couldn't help me and if I had a problem with it, I could go to another location so I left after he made smart remarks under his breath, I highly recommend don't coming to this location because they don't know how to put outfits together. read more

I knew a new Ross store was opening across from the Ontario Mills Mall. I happened to drive by and they were open today, so I took a look. They actually opened today. I don't care for the majority of their clothing and haven't for years. I mainly browse for their hair, beauty, towels, and housewares products. Being the grand opening, there were about 15 employees in there, but surprisingly, only 3 greeted me and one of them was the greeter at the store's entrance. The other two said it quickly and nonchalantly. Of course anything new is going to look good and be fully stocked with products, which this store was. I left with a tube of facial cleanser. Came here yesterday to return some things. First their purchase and return/exchange line signs are a bit confusing; the sign does not seem to match the way the line runs. Ok, so I stand behind a lady that seems to be returning something as well she gets called up. The cashier gets done ringing her up and instead of calling for the next return/exchange customer she calls out, "can I help the next person that's purchasing." When they purposely have their own registers for purchasing, her number on too of the register even has a sign on top that says exchange and returns. I did not mind waiting just found it odd since it was not that busy. She finally calls out, "the next return," I swear she looked like she hated her job. She did not even greet nor smile and to top it all off, when she was done with the transaction she says, "go ahead and pull your receipt." I was shocked, my boyfriend and I looked at each other and just giggled. I gave it two stars because she made me laugh when she said to get my own receipt. WORST ROSS CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I don't understand how every single one of these workers has a job in "customer service" Because that's literally the last thing that they want to do. I was standing in what I thought was where the line formed with another lady behind me. The cashier bluntly ignoring us for a solid 3-5 minutes. She yells out to a different customer Opposite side of me saying "i can help you." I exclaim out loud that we have been standing in line. Instead of saying sorry or helping us she says "well I didn't know, you're just standing there in the wrong spot staring at me" !!???? Lucky for her she conveniently was not wearing a name tag. So I've decided to use this app or website for everything everywhere I go now and I felt I had to say something about Ross department store.. so being the shirt and jeans guy that I am... I decided hey let me go get a nice shirt ...I have to be somewhere "nice" tonight So I go to Ross to pick up this nice little polo shirt something a little more dressy than a regular T-shirt and I had two shirts to try on so I go to the attendant who is in the back and I guess she supposed to check in your items when you try em on and I must say her demeanor or I don't know???her vibe was just so cold and rude and I Felt like the setting was like almost a prison guard and a cellmate kind of situation but I've never been to prison... I got a pretty good job and I make pretty good money so when I went to the back I was expecting someone pretty nice and cheerful but that wasn't the case... I took my shirt and just wanted to run for the hills because I was just so semiupset from the treatment that I received and maybe she wasn't doing it on purpose and maybe that's just the way she is???? This rating is just based on customer service. I visited this Ross earlier this week and I was very pleased with the customer service. It's rare for me to go to a Ross and have exceptional service. I was greeted by every associate that passed by me. They all smiled and was very pleasant. The manager or supervisor, a younger guy who checked me out was very nice as well. Nothing special about this Ross. Store actually looks empty of merchandise considering it's new store. Their shoe selection is very minimal. I usually go and find a wide variety but this one is lacking. The line to pay is confusing. It didn't look like there was any organization to it. Maybe because no one was in line, so couldn't figure out how it would move. The girl at the registers, also lacking in customer service. The one register they had open was the same where they had the items behind glass and returns/exchanges. So I had to wait while a customer was browsing and being shown jewelry to pay for my two items. Cashier didn't even bother acknowledge my wait. When I asked if another register was open, she said no and continued to ignore me instead of requesting a another register to open up. Once I did pay, she didn't even bother to hand me my receipt or place it in the bag. She told me to grab the receipt off the machine myself and walked away, I found that to be very rude. read more

I love this Ross & i'm happy to work here when it comes to any Ross stores I look mainly into clothes & Home Decor I have shopped at several Ross stores and I think that this one is one of the best they have a bigger selection in Home Decor The shoes & bag selection is not the best But as far as clothes, especially dresses, there is always super cute ones & most under $10 about the same as the Rancho Store but much less crowded ONE MAJOR PLUS it's much more organized than other Ross stores (nothing compared to the Rancho store) They are trying a lot of new things with this store since it's one of the new ones: 1) Having customers take their OWN receipt 2) OPTIONAL take off your hangers in line 3) 3 for 1 which means 1 register open for 3 customers 4) display jewelry counter within register area 5) the line (which i think is confusing personally) Like any retail store there is going to be bad employees but overall i think it's worth shopping at any Ross when you find good deals This one is definitely worth checking out. read more

There were about a dozen employees last Friday morning. They were all together going somewhere walking around the store, training? Who knows. However that left only one girl at check out that seemed like a robot. The blonde girl didn't even greet me, talking to her coworker without giving me eye contact. She then asks me a question as she's completely turned around and doing something else. I couldn't tell if she was talking to me or ... ? I purchased two cologne at Ross and asked what the return policy was beforehand. They said as long as they aren't used, I can return them with a receipt. They do not have testers so I opened them to see if I liked the smell. I wanted to return one and the lady at the front said they don't return open boxes for cologne. I then proceeded to tell her how I asked the return policy for this same reason. I have shopped this Ross store a few times recently and find it to be clean and organized. The racks are evenly spaced out and I don't feel jammed in or moving out of other shoppers way while going thru the racks. I have found some great deals in the clothing department here. The cashiers have been friendly and the dressing room attendants have also been really friendly. Its convenient to stop in here while I am in the area shopping or running errands. All the girls working in this store are so fucking rude. I walked in with a bag with merchandise that I was trying to get a refund for. I walked in and I started looking at the designer bags and I was on FaceTime with my sister asking her for advise to help me pick a bag... a soon as I picked up one of the bags, security came up to me asked me to put it on hold. I was still trying to pick a bag so I told her I wasn't going to buy it, yet I was still looking at them. With he bitchiess mood she said you have to put in oh hold. I gave her attitude too and replied ..."okayyyy". I was so upset i put the bag down and I went to do the refund. I went back to the bags and I could feel her staring at me I got he bag I wanted and went straight to pay, don't put shit on hold. I felt so uncomfortable shopping. Generally I love Ross stores but geez. I walk up to the register sign, which was totally confusing to start with. There was not one person in front of me but I was still ignored for approx 1 minute before Jacqueline waved me over (no greeting, no eye contact whatsoever, just a rude wave of the hand). She proceeded to ring me up and shove my items into a bag. I couldn't believe my items were being wrinkled before I even got them home. As she rang items up, I gently pulled them back out of the bag, shook them out and folded them neatly on the counter. Rather than take notice of my actions and hand me the items directly, she continued to shove another pair of slacks into the bag. What??? Now, she may be having a challenging day, she may just be a poor staff member. Regardless, I will hope a management team member will help adjust Jacquelines behavior so the next customer who comes into contact with her, feels appreciated. read more

The store manager Jorge is very unprofessional. I was in the return line with no one in front of me and the regular line filled up twice. I waited trying not to get mad because I also work in retail and understand but enough is enough. I told the cashier closest to me and she said sorry I will take you next. Then I was finally called upon by someone else . I went to the cashier and said you guys must of forgot about returns. The cashier then said with a rude tone we ARE doing returns.
