Disappointing Experience I'm very disappointed with the customer service at the Ross store located at 8115 W Bell Rd, Peoria, AZ 85382. My friend and I went for some late-night Christmas shopping after confirming the store was open until midnight. We arrived well before closing and had no issues while shopping. At around 11:57 PM, we got in line with two full carts of items. The cashier, whose name seemed to be Yidra (not sure about the spelling), immediately gave us attitude and refused to ring up our items, saying it was "too late," even though we were still within posted store hours. Instead of helping us, she argued, raised her voice, and even threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. This was shocking, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary especially since we were already in line before midnight. If she had just started ringing us up, we would have been done in minutes. This experience left us feeling insulted, threatened, and disrespected. I've been a loyal Ross shopper for years, and I've never had an encounter this hostile or unprofessional at any Ross location. I hope management sees this and reaches out, because no customer should ever feel unsafe or mistreated, especially when following store hours and policies. Very unhappy costumer! read more

My bad experience has nothing to do with their inventory, and EVERYTHING with the stupid behavior of their new security guard! After this man watches your every move at the register, the register person puts everything in the bag (u don't touch a thing) and you pay, u get stopped. While I was checking out there were employees running after someone that bolted out of the store and when I asked if everyone is okay and if the police are on their way the cashier replied, "we don't call the cops they don't come or if they do they don't care enough to do anything out it". I brought my children to this location today to spend their money for clothes. We had to do 3 separate transactions at the register. Jamie was our associate and she was very patient and kind. She talked w the each child while they paid and gave them the receipt and change too! Made them feel cool! She even made small talk and asked about their day. There was a line and she moved fast , yet she did not make us feel rushed at all! Thank you Jamie for making this experience a good one with 3 children! We will be back. read more

I love Ross, but this is a strange location. So many of the aisles were blocked off with stuff. An additional 20 minutes was spent just trying to get down aisle. Some aisles I gave up on entirely. It was a frustrating shopping trip. I finally gave up, and purchased the items I did find. I ended up going to another location to try and find the additional items I was looking for. read more

I love Ross, but you really have to time it right when you go or nine times out of ten you'll end up putting all your items back and walking out because there's 11 or more people in line to one cashier; if you're lucky they're be two. I'd never been in this location and was looking for some home decor. Most of the shelves were a mess and I was afraid to even touch anything on fear it might fall. While I saw many employees walking around; I wasn't sure what they were really doing because the line to check out was insane and they just walked on by. Not my favorite experience. My sis ended up buying a few things and I found one item. If I'd of been alone I don't think I'd of stood there as long as I did. read more

i was using the dressing room and when i was finished i went to go put my clothes in didn't want on the rack as i usually do, when i was greeted by a very rude employee who yelled at me as i was walking away to put the clothes on a different rack. i didn't realize she was talking to me so i kept walking when she yelled at me even louder to come back and put the clothes on a different rack. a very disrespectful way to talk to a paying customer. no manners what so ever. read more

I'm not sure what is going on or what happened to this place but it is like a giant dumpster fire. Not only is it completely disorganized it's filthy as well. The decor style could only be described as, "there appears to have been a struggle". Every isle you go in has items thrown all over the floor, spills are everywhere and no one seems to be interested in cleaning up. Maybe they're very short staffed? Worst store ever!!! This is the third time we've gotten home and realized they forgot to remove one of the security tags on a piece of clothing. This time we couldn't find the receipt anywhere, we even dug through the trash cans. We printed out our bank statement which shows hundreds of dollars in Ross purchases, called the store and talked with store manage (Maggie). Even with bank statements they won't take tag off without receipt. We are done with this store, teach your cashiers how to remove the damn tags. read more

I like this Ross. It's always clean and pretty well stocked. The employees are there if you have a question but don't expect too much. I needed to use the restroom but it was locked and you needed a code. I asked the fitting room attendant if I could use it and they replied that it was closed. I had just watched someone come out no long before! They just couldn't be bothered to stop what they were doing to open the door. So I put my items back and left. read more

Came here to try and find a swimsuit for my daughter while on vacation and it was a big headache trying to find anything here. Went to the girls section for swimsuits and it was so unorganized and mixed in with clothing from men's, women's, juniors etc. that I gave up looking. Tried looking at toys and the shelves were disgusting. Spilled drinks on the shelves looked like they've been there for days. I worked at Ross for 5 years so it's disappointing for the store to be in that condition. Got back to the hotel and told my fiancé about it and he wanted to see for himself so we went back the next morning and the store was in the same condition, including the spilled coffee drink in the toys area. read more

Okay, I've been shopping to this store a lot..but this is gonna be my first dong review for them because I don't do Yelp before I LOVE this store a lot!!! Well, I am the type of person that's very frugal when it comes to our expenditures. I mean there's no point going to these high end stores when you can get same things and spend so much less money? This place pretty much have everything you need - from your home decors, beddings, bathroom, kitchen etc. Even furnitures too! They got clothes, shoes, purses, anything for cheap! They sell branded stuffs in here too for a very low price! How amazing is that? They're very budget friendly! You can get a whole lot of things without spending so much This store in Peoria specifically, is cool. I got really nice deal and they have nicer things in here I couldn't find on the other store I usually go to..I'm happy to be able to get amazing things on my list and so much more. The store appearance? It's clean and organized. I didn't have a hard time finding things. If things gets messy, they make sure they rearrange them. I noticed that most shoppers are just so terribly inconsiderate , they disarrange things and dont even mind putting them back on properly. Their fitting room is neat and so is their bathroom. As for check out counters, there are staffs on each lane , and we checked out faster than normal. Keep it up! Customer's convenience and satisfaction are very important! read more

There was a very long line and I saw 2 people leave the line and set the stuff down and leave. The cashier was being pretty much glared at by every person in line. So I walked up to her and asked to speak with the manager. When the manager came up I asked if there is another cashier to help out with the long line and she said the other cashier was on break. So I asked if she can help out the line. She was being very disrespectful but said she would take me to check out. I had to let her know I will take me place in line as there are many people ahead of me that had been waiting longer... the condition of the store was horrible. It was so hard to find school clothes for my son because nothing was in the right place and hangers said one size but really the clothes were a different size. Over all they need new management, I feel bad for the cashier that had so many customers upset with her cause the manager couldn't bother to come out without someone complaining. read more

I went once to this store and it was a bad experience. Things were dirty and was given attitude by cashiers. Went again today and it didn't fail to disappoint. Gabby is the name of the person who "helped" me and she has the worst attitude not only with customers but her employees as well. She yelled at a person before me who was trying to make a return, she had a receipt but because the item didn't have the Ross tag (which the lady said that's how she had paid for the item and the cashier whom she paid with just looked it up) but she denied being able to look it up on the system (which is BS because I myself have purchased and returned things without the Ross tag) so she didn't do the return for the poor lady all while treating her like s***. When I was up next she didn't greet me and looked like she was the most miserable person in life. If you hate your job that much I suggest you look for something somewhere else. I seriously don't understand why or how she's the manager there. Not only does the manager Gabby look like a fetus but also acts like one too. I just called into the store to see if they had a shoe I'd seen at another Ross but not in my size. Whoever answered the phone couldn't have a better greeting, was very kind, and asked to put me on hold while someone checked. I was on hold for maybe 3 minutes, not long at all in my book, and whoever picked up was just as kind as the first person, and apologized that they didn't find it. Wished me a good evening and we got off of the phone. Perfect. I've been in the store before and it's about like most Ross stores, it's going to be a little shuffled around due to people bargain hunting. If I could I'd give it a 0, i love shopping at Ross and everywhere I go I try to stop at a Ross to check for new arrivals they might have. But this time it was such a unpleasant shop that i had to leave with out the buying anything. I had a baby not to long ago and was shopping for him, as it is it's not easy to be out and about with a new born but this place make it worse for moms. This place has only one restroom for both men and women. The restroom was disgusting and smelled horrible and to make it worse they didn't have a changing table for me to change my baby. Did not exactly care that the lines were extremely long but this was basically due to two checkout registers open. I asked why they only had two and the reason was someone called out. I would suggest that service starts with promptness and that management there lacked that. The solution was to call in another willing employee to work. Given that this is a management task and the fact that the lines were extremely long, no care nor concern. I did happen to see the manager walking around but it was oblivious she had no care as she strolled by the lines not directing or doing anything towards the operations but had a stare of being lost. I admit it was a very busy store which means there is a lot of room for opportunities should the right person be in place. I'm sure the Ross corporation can do much better, at least I hope so! read more

I went into this store about 2 weeks ago for a birthday present for a 1 year old. I was surprised at the selection of toys and the price! I got a brand name play school push and play for $19, same thing at Toys R US was $40. :D Then I have a problem... and had to walk by the shoes... I tried a pair on and an employee stocking the shelves says "those are so cute!" she made my day, and of course bought them. Then I go to the resister and the cashier, a man, says "oh, today is free tote day, pick any of the large reusable bags behind you for free." Seriously?! :) :) So I got the birthday present at half the price of the other store, complimented, new adorable shoes, and a free bag. Unexpected and awesome. This is why I LOVE Ross. read more

In my opinion, every Ross store is an average store. The clothing selection is usually pretty good - they have a lot of nice tops at decent prices. This store in particular is very dirty and unkempt. Clothes all over the floor. Dirt, and something that resembled feces was on the ground next to the women's tops. To me, that kind of filth isn't worth getting a good deal on a top. read more
