My GodAuntie and Mom wanted to drag me along for a mini-shopping spree. I say "drag" because I really didn't feel like going, but they somehow managed to convince me to go - and got me to drive, too! But I'm glad I got to go and check this place out. I may have driven through 2 or 3 other Ross', but this is THE spot they wanted to hit (they had prior experience with those and they weren't too happy...) The first thing I wanted to do as soon as I walked in was to use the bathroom. I walked all the way to the back and as most Ross stores go, the door is coded. So, I walked all the way up front to get this code, but was told to go to the fitting room and staff there would open it up for me. Then she tells me to just go back to where I started and that she'll buzz me in. I stood there for a couple of minutes and nothing. Another minute and I felt like my bladder was about to scream. So I walked back to the fitting room and told that same staff I didn't hear any buzz. She said she didn't see me on the camera. (Like... really?!) Was she even looking?! She ended up walking back with me and unlocking it manually. The bathroom was disgustingly dirty. Tissue paper everywhere, the hand dryer wasn't working and let's just say we were off to a bad start at this store! (Insert pouty face here...) I lost interest in shopping after that, but I had to play the waiting game with the party I was with. After a few minutes of semi-sulking, my interest slowly snuck back through and that's when I started seeing stuff I kinda wanted to get: decor for the bathroom, a hoodie, leggings... I even got to help Mom pick out a couple of outfits. I walked through the pet aisle and that was a mess! But it was being handled by another staff member and I gotta say she organized that entire area pretty quickly! Impressive... she was really hustlin'! And she did it well! That's when I noticed a few more staff members at random locations of the store doing the same thing - putting out-of-place-items back where they belong. That explains why this place is generally clean and organized. Great bargain buys. We ended up with a few big bags' worth of stuff at reasonable prices. Although the drive wasn't convenient, it was well worth it. Great first run! Keeping them in my Ross' radar from here on...

Great way to welcome your customer.

This location always has two trash cans right in front of the store, and no matter when you visit, they're overflowing with trash spilling onto the ground. As you walk in, you often end up stepping on garbage. Ross, you can do better than this.

Welcome to my new church. Early on Sunday mornings I've been known to frequent St. Mattress, St. Beach or St. Farmer's Market. But today I discovered that this St. Ross opens at 9am Sunday morning! (TJ Maxx on the PV Hill doesn't open 'till 11 on Sunday.) Holy bargains! The new fall clothes are coming in & all the summer stuff is on clearance. Thou shalt not steal but you might feel like you are with some of these prices. I think Bermuda shorts have made a comeback. Haven't worn Bermudas since 1960 but I got me a pair (Marc New York) for cheap. Also got some comfy Calvin Klein yoga pants so guess I gotta take up meditation to intensify my spiritual side. Also got some sharp Fiskars scissors with a lifetime warranty, 4 bucks. Hey, this store has stuff for your kitchen, your dog, your baby, your car, your garden....I even saw artist canvases. And I didn't know Betsey Johnson had a line of bedsheets so yeah I needed those. At Ross, ladies chit-chat in the aisles. One of today's conversations, in the bedsheets section, was about the fact that twin sheets are mostly polyester, hard to find in cotton, who knew. One lady thought her grandkids should have organic cotton so I suggested HomeGoods. Good deeds abound at St. Ross. Nourish your inner angel when you buy Toms shoes (the company helps people in need). I got some on a previous Ross visit - from The Venice Collection, adorned with embroidered bugs. Yes, bugs. Cute. (No Toms on the shelves this visit so I'll pray for more to appear.) A lady in an aisle (who treats herself to Ross after Mass, true!) told me today that this location is open until midnight every day except Sunday (10:30pm). Mon -Sat: 8:30am - 12am! Moonlight shopping. Hallelujah! I'm a believer.

It's a total dump. The dressing rooms are dirty, the customers are nasty, and really filthy.

No dressing rooms open at all and since I can't try on anything I'm leaving. I'm not going to buy clothes without trying them on. Bye

It's your basic Ross. Some days will be great. Other days not so much. I would shop there again because it's Ross.

There are no trying rooms except for the two up front, who does that in a large store. Time to go someplace else.

Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. The employees closely followed us throughout the store and made us feel as though we were being watched because they assumed we might steal something. The treatment we received felt like racial profiling, and it was both embarrassing and hurtful. Rather than feeling like valued customers, we felt judged and singled out. Despite the uncomfortable atmosphere, I still made a purchase and bought a pair of earrings. However, that purchase was only a fraction of what I intended to spend. I came into the store fully prepared to buy multiple items and would have gladly spent considerably more. Instead, the employees' behavior completely discouraged me from continuing to shop. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that the store lost out on a much larger sale because of the way my daughters and I were treated. Customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected--not scrutinized and judged. Had we been treated with kindness and professionalism, I likely would have purchased several additional items and returned in the future. I also noticed several other potential customers walk into the store and quickly leave without making a purchase. Customer service plays a huge role in whether people choose to shop and spend money, and unfortunately, that was severely lacking during my visit. I have never felt so profiled while shopping before, and it was a deeply upsetting experience. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable because of their appearance, race, or background. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training to ensure that all customers are treated with respect, dignity, and professionalism. Sadly, what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience turned into one that left me feeling unwelcome, disappointed, and unlikely to return

Once inside, what you will find is all of the things that you would expect from a thrift store; namely: clothing, household items, furniture, art, books, records, and a little bit of everything else. One of the great things about this thrift shop is that they often have sales. Though you never really know when this is going to take place, but walking in there, they let you know what the sale is going be. So, From this, a lot of times you can get clothing and other items really-really cheap. The shop is very well laid out. It's a large open space. Within it, the shop has rows and rows of clothing and other things, like the household items are near the back. Whereas, items such as books, records, and household items are on shelves along the walls. It's a very clean, open, and airy place to shop. They have a small parking lot in front. So, if there's a parking space available, you can grab it there. If not, you can always get a space along Hawthorne Boulevard. Overall, this is a fun place to shop. Just like all thrift stores, you never know what you're going to find.

THE NOT SO GREAT: Selling. Their process must be working because their inventory is outstanding. But it's not great to sell here. They take little and the money they give you doesn't cover the gas cost to get there. A waste. How are the pants and denim organized? Un-discernable. Any method other than organizing by size is laughable. I don't even look at pants here ever because who has time to search for the size tags? The only option here was cash. This was also the lowest I've ever been offered for clothes. Places like Plato's Closet, Buffalo Exchange, and Uptown Cheapskate give you way more for your items. They had a $1 pile, meaning items they were willing to pay me one dollar for. And then they had a 10‑cent pile, meaning they were willing to pay me ten cents for certain items. Yes, ten cents. For 10/12 pieces, they offered me around $6.30. It was laughable. Actually laughable. So if you're looking to sell your items for dirt cheap, this is the place. On a lighter note, they did have a lot of nice things for sale; secondhand, some new, some designer, really great quality pieces at good prices. I got a really nice pair of green cargo pants for $12. I recommend for shopping NOT selling.
