I enjoy shopping at hollister. They always always have new clothing items in store, and if not you can always order it to be shipped for pickup. The atmosphere is upbeat, and there is always a good playlist playing that makes you want to dance or sing. Service is great as I'm always greated when I come in, and helped if I need any. Went to exchange a small for a medium I bought in orange county to del amo. Exact same item with receipt only two days after. They charged me sales tax difference. So lame... Did the exact same transaction moments earlier at urban outfitters and no charge. Very small dollar amount but poor business practice will definitely make me think twice about shopping here. I liked the store and selected several items to purchase. However, when I went to the cashier to pay, she asked for my cell number. I told her I don't want to give her my cell number. Then she asked for my email. I repeated I don't want to give that info either, I just want to pay. She said she couldn't process the transaction without my email address. I asked even if I pay cash, she can't take my money without my email. She said that's correct. I just couldn't believe it. I just walked out of the store without buying the items I had selected. This store has a bit of flaws but I won't deny it has great clothing items. My daughter and I shop here from time to time because we love the pants and hoodies here. They are good quality and last a long time. The only downside is that sometimes the store is left pretty messy. There are items all over the place and there is no staff to be around. There were a few times where the staff was being rude to my daughter but it was this one girl. I forgot to ask for a name but I heard girl seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. Had a very negative experience at Hollister last night. My husband and I are going to Cancun in 2 weeks & are doing all our shopping last minute (oh the joy lol) & decided to check this place out last night while walking by & seeing bathing suits in the window. From the moment I walked in the manager Daniel was not welcoming and very standoffish but I thought nothing of it. I'm going to make a long story really short for you guys: my sweater was in my purse & I looked inside for my cell phone to call my husband. Apparently him or one of his employees saw my sweater in my purse & said they saw me stealing. PATHETIC! Instead of looking at the cameras before approaching me DANIEL thought it was okay to follow me around the store & ask me twice (once on the floor & once as I was about to try on my bathing suits if I wanted to try the cardigan on that I had). I was really confused but then it dawned on me that they thought I was stealing. At the register I confronted THE MANAGER DANIEL & I said , "I'm confused why do you keep asking me about a cardigan? I haven't once looked at a cardigan here only bathing suits" his response "one of my employees told me u put a cardigan in your purse" HA! I was appalled that he would even have the audacity to say that to me. & of course I pulled my cardigan out my purse to make him look stupid. I will be calling corporate today to file a report and returning all this merchandise that I bought. I can buy my bathing suits when I get to Cancun but I won't spend my hard earned money somewhere where I am treated like a criminal and a thief ! DANIEl you should not be a manager at Hollister ! You give this store a bad name ! You have a terrible attitude, & something tells me you profile customers all the time based on how they look. Idk who but there was this girl employee I think she was a manager who was so rude like I walked in and next thing you know I'm being STARED down like how a lion stalks it's prey. Like I felt like I was a little gazelle grazing on beautiful grass but I knew I was being stared down. Anyways went to check out and I was like how are you? As a retail employee myself I try to always show that I care. the employee ROLLED HER EYES AT ME! Outrageous. After she did that and offered me club cali or whatever it is, I declined promptly. Hollister... What can you say? It is one of those places that you go to for a very specific type of clothing. Me, I go there to get sweats, shorts, and casual wear. Their prices are fair, they frequently have sales, and you get what you pay for. In terms of the atmosphere, pretty much every Hollister I have ever been to is very much the same. They go for dark lighting (why I don't know) and loud music. That's just what the Hollister interior designers create, I guess. This store is no different. This is the new location in Del Amo. It is very similar to their previous store before the mall was totally remolded. Though the remodeling of the mall is grandiose and modern, this store is the same, just a bit smaller with less space for movement. But, you go to Hollister to buy clothing not to hang out. So, this shop serves its purpose. Check it out next type you need that Hollister style of clothing. read more

DARK, SMELLY, AND LOUD. uh. i dont know how anyone works here. between the lighting and the STRONG hollister scent and the music, i think id keel over after an hour. anyway i think im almost too old to shop here. although my roommate, who i think has pretty alright taste, shops here and she is over a yr older than me. whatever, my review for their clothes follows my review for abercrombie clothes. ill stick to their fleece and basic tanks, and im open to basic bottoms. but i think ill pass on whatever trend theyre trying to start up. on the service side. uhm ok. i was 4th in line to try on clothes when i first got into the fitting room. there are three fitting rooms... and there are another three fitting rooms on the other side of the store that they werent using (ANYONE WITH COMMON SENSE WOULD HAVE OPENED THOSE ROOMS). so i basically had to wait for four girls to try on their berth of clothing selections from the store (two of which had more than five pieces!!). the room attendant didnt care so much either. she was really out of it... they didnt have any baskets to put the go backs in, so they were piling up on the counter. and she basically lost some pieces that customers put on hold while they were in the dressing room. this store is also probably having problem with theft, bc they had a list with girls' names and number of items they brought in and out. read more

I was in line to pay When all of a sudden the cashier asked me if I was in line,,I said "yes" and she goes to tell me that I need to stay in line ..???? What? I was in line..and then she goes to say ... Next in line please. Hollister Torrance Del Amo. Had several bad customer services at this store. So, I decided to write about one too many bad experiences at this location, Enough is Enough! How did the manager on duty get the managerial position? It was not a busy evening in the store. We asked a (male) employee to open one of the doors to the dressing room close to where we were standing. He said, "the dressing room is on the other side. " My son followed him; I stayed behind to look around for about 5 minutes. I then walked over to the other side only to find my son waiting for one of the dressing rooms to become available. (2 dressing rooms were occupied) To make the story short, the male employee was called by one of the associates and left my son waiting. He never went back to help my son. The store was not busy for him to lose his concentration. If the manager gets easily disrupted; you do not deserve to be a manager Esteban. You chose to work in retail. Customers come first! Not a happy customer. Will NOT return to shop at this location. Attention District Manager. Funny to see one of the reviews posted, had the district manager's name and contact info written on the card. Per, Esteban who happened to answer the phone when I called to ask for a contact number or e-mail of the district manager said that it's "against company policy" to provide customers the name and contact information of its district manager. Honestly, I don't shop here, I never shop here nor will I ever. Truth is, I'm a rocker chick. But I went in because one of my friends shops here and she wanted me to go in with her so I did. Bad idea. I was decked out from head to toe in punk/emo gear; wearing black on black etc. I felt like I stepped back into high school where the preps ruled. I stepped into their domain. But I didn't care. I had no interest in buying their clothes so I put my earbuds in and just followed my friend where she went. When we walked out my friend began telling me what the employees were saying about me or trying to say to me but I didn't hear because of my music. But they were saying things like "Get out of here emo!" Or "Why is there an emo chick in here? She should just go home and cut her wrist." I was actually really surprised that is actually allowed there. I am really glad I had my earbuds in and didn't hear what they said because I definitely would have caused a scene. I would have walked right back in and looked for the employees who said those things but my friend convinced me otherwise. So if you are a rocker and not a prep do not go here! This is what shopping must have been like for cavemen. Whose bright (or not so bright) idea was it to use mood lighting? It didn't work too well for non-sexual activities such as picking out clothes for your cousins. Also, from the look of things, it was either a tornado had just passed through or they were having their 50% off entire store Christmas sale. The poor workers trying to fold clothes back in order couldn't keep up with the ravenous hands of the eager crowd. They kept their cool, however, and one guy actually stopped what he was doing and tried to help me find some jeans. The checkout line was long but they maximized all the cash registers making the wait in line relatively short. I was hoping to find more clothes than at the usual Hollister near my house in Arizona because I was vacationing in California- this Hollister met my expectations and went above and beyond. First of all, when I walked in I saw way more than the average Hollister I was used to. It was big, spacious, and filled with clothes. Second of all, the customer service was outstanding. The people were nice, and helpful. I needed to find out what size I was in waist and a girl helped me understand waist size at Hollister. Definitely giving her a good review on Hollister.co. Not a fan of this store. I always end up shopping for my sister-in-law here, who loves it, but I have a few major complaints: - TOO LOUD. I can't even hear my husband standing right next to me. - TOO DARK. I was squinting trying to read the labels for size and price. - SERVICE SUCKS. I was standing right next to a sales girl who was folding the clothes. I was looking for a particular size and color. Did she offer to help? No. Did she acknowledge my existance in the slightest? While Christmas shopping with my family, I expected the usual messy store and a few disgruntled employees. Prior to closing two associates were gossiping and then one yelled at the guests saying something along the lines of if they are not in line they are not getting helped. Unfortunately they continued this behavior by saying "for real I'm not tryna stay here until 1AM." Great customer service, had a cute boy named Alec with blond hair help me out a few months ago and I wish quarantine would make me go back to visit him and get the best clothes in in California. The drip is real and the models (like Alec) could pull it off any day if the week which really inspired me to join Club Cali. The deals on it are amazing and it is completely free to sign up. I came in to shop for my little sister. I had my 7 month year old daughter with a developmental disability. While I waited for my sister I sat in one of the benches and moved the clothes to the side. One of the employees told me that I couldn't sit in the bench and I asked her if it was okay for me to sit shortly so I can feed my daughter and would move right after, she agreed. A different employee came up to me with the name Mary and forced me to get up and told me to sit on a bar chair by the dressing room. I could not feed my daughter on a high bar chair. Hollister Co. located in the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California is the best store to have a shopping spree at. They have tops and bottoms for both men and women. The store also sells dresses, rompers, jackets, coats, sleepwear, and swimwear. The greatest item to buy from here is jeans! This is my all time favorite store to shop at for jeans. All my jeans are from here and they fit perfectly, like no other store. They vary from super skinny to mom jeans to boyfriend jeans and more, with all lengths and sizes. Not to mention, the quality is outstanding. Hollister is really expensive and has high prices on their clothing. However, there are amazing sales and clearance all the time! Most of their clothes becomes affordable. Jeans are almost always on sale for $25, which is an exceptional price for such high quality jeans. This place don't deserve any star at all. I went in to return my items that I ordered online using paypal and the cashier( young girl w/ long black hair almost all the way to her hips, asian maybe filipinoish you know who you are if you're reading this) told me that it could not be returned to my original form of payment because it paid using paypal. They only do merchandise credit ( which is like a gift card or store credit). And i was like no, how is that even possible that you cannot do that. Target and other stores easily credit it back. And she gave me a business card of who to talk to so i can inquire the return process. I called the number of this guy on the hollister card and it just went straight to voicemail. My battery at that time was only 3% left and i was so infuriated. I then managed to get the hollister customer service number n my internet and talked to a rep. The lady advised me to go ahead and get the meechandise credit in store and then afterwards call her and gave her the pin so she can return that money back to the original form of payment. Now, lo and behold when i called her back, guess what?? She couldn't do it!!!!! She had the nerve of telling me in a sweet sarcastic voice that abercrombie and hollister are company sisters & they always had an issue when it comes to paypal returns and she added saying "I don't know why but yeah they never really get along with each other." this is one of the places i often visit when upon entering the mall. however, my fondness of hollister has been slowly decreasing. because: - the lighting: i can't see anything! shoppers are misled as they browse through the articles of clothing. and when i try on the clothes in fitting rooms, i can't tell what it really looks like. there were a few times when i got home with my newly bought tops and found that they were completely different from what i saw when i tried it on in the store. especially the color. - the fitting rooms: whether it's because of the poor service or because of the lack of enough fitting rooms (only 3, two of which are extremely small that you can barely change your clothes or have enough elbow room) and a few others on the other side of the store which are usually not opened for use, even when there is a HUGE line waiting for changing rooms (frequently). - the "clearance/sale" sections: the clothes seem to be just thrown on the shelf, and there's always some clothes just lying on the floor, ignored and waiting to be stepped on. read more

Most of the service here was great except for one girl working on the floor as I was leaving the sensors went off ( the clerk forgot to take off the tag/sensor) she accused me of stealing even after I produced the receipt! The item I was accused of stealing was clearly described on the receipt and she kept telling the cashiers I was stealing even after one confirmed that she was the one who rang me up and I had paid for it. Rudest most unproffessional sales girl EVER! I realize that theft prevention is important but there's a line between that and harrassing a paying customer. This Hollister has the cutest clothes at the right prices (awesome sales). The workers are totally nice and really bubbly, almost overly helpful. This asian girl actually asked me if I needed help finding a size and gave me advice on what kind of jeans to pick (there was a $25 jean sale), she was so nice. The lines for both the cashier and fitting rooms were very long but I could see that it was not necessarily the store's fault since they were maxing out the cashiers. Overall the store was clean and the mood lighting made shopping a fun experience even if the jean size stickers were difficult to see. I could see why when I walked around the mall the majority of people's bags were from hollister. read more
