I'm an online shopper. I rarely go to stores in person unless I have returns or a rewards like in this case today. I just placed a $100 + order online and came to Bath & Body Works to redeem my rewards. It's always nice to come right when they open on a weekday because it's quiet and there's no crowd. I'm always greeted with a warm welcome when I step in and a "Have a nice day" when I leave. There's 2 B&BW locations at Del Amo. This is the one located inside the mall near Burlington Coat Factory. This is the original and best location. The staff here are so helpful and friendly. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in. While I was there with my grandmother, she had a medical emergency and the staff was amazing!! They stayed calm, offered a chair, water, and food, and called 911. After all of that, they even held the items I'd had in my basket for me to buy at a later time. As part of their rewards program, I was able to get a head start on their semi-annual sale and loved the convenience of an in-store pick up. With distancing, I didn't even need to go in store, as they confirmed my order and brought it out to me while I stood outside! I'm constantly getting their promotional emails, which is dangerous to my wallet. I don't mind though because I love their products and saving money is always a plus in my book. Every visit, their store is always always so neat and pristine. It's easy to navigate and find the items I need. The employees are very friendly and have helped me find what I needed. On my last visit, I dropped in for car fragrance refills that were on sale for $1.95 each. Claudia was very helpful and showed me where they were. Gramma doesn't mess around: she knew what she wanted and the rest of us who went with her made sure she got 'em. What made the experience is the staff who helped make it all smooth. Gramma wanted a bunch of stuff, so naturally, our bags got a bit heavy. Instead of lugging them all around, the staff asked if we preferred they take and set 'em aside for us while we continued shopping. That was totally cool! They were also helpful with letting us know how we can make the most of our buck with their multiple sales going on in their store. I ended up with stuff I didn't even know I wanted. French Baguette and Macaron Scented Candles!!! I love the smell of fresh baked bread- never thought of bread scented candles- but B and B W has it. It didn't quite put me in the mindset that i was smelling bread in a bakery, but it did have a strong smell of BUTTAH! and butter is always good :) The macaron one- smelled good but i didn't automatically think macaron, but how does one exactly bottle up the smell of general macarons? Bought a new body wash and lotion about a month ago from another location. After using the products, I noticed small bumps on my skin. Considering nothing else changed in my routine, I was surprised that the bumps could very well be the result of the new body wash and lotion. Since both items were used, I thought perhaps my only option was to discard of the items, until I reviewed my receipt. I returned the items at the Del Amo mall. Rather than ask why the products were so used the cashier instead apologize for the inconvenience. I had my receipt which was over 30 days old but still got my full refund. WoW I'm amazed at Bath & Body Works' return policy and commitment to customer satisfaction. I'm very pleased. They say the care about Covid but they don't have a store pick up option or free shipping during their Semi Annual Sale. I looked and looked. Even though they say they do have store pick up. I just spent 10 mins in the store and I'm wondering what's wrong with the staff. No one greeted me when I walked in, but they greeted and serviced the woman who walked in behind me. There were only about 4 customers and about 7 staff members, and not a single one of them spoke to me. Oh how I love Bath & Body Works! It's fastly becoming one of my favorite stores especially since I bought wallflowers (it gives me an excuse to go in there). I've had nothing but positive experiences in this store and the employees are always nice. I love how you can exchange anything if you don't like it or if something stops working. My wallflowers stopped emitting scents and I took 2 back and they exchanged them with no questions asked. The candles are always changing and they often have deals. read more

After further questioning I find out that she is the supervisor on duty. I really felt profiled during my shopping experience at this store. The "greeter" at the entrance was okay. Didn't ask if I needed assistance but when I told her I had an online order to pick up, she directed me to the counter in the back of the store. Once there I showed the cashier my order. She checked it out on the computer. She went in the back and brought out my bag. I purchased 10 bottles of soap. Usually when I purchase that much, they double bag it but not this time. I had to hold the bottom of the bag for fear of the bag ripping while walking to my car. I asked if I could have a couple of cellophane bags and I was told oh sorry we don't have any! Yet I saw a bunch of cellophane bags by the next computer. This is supposed to be a flagship store! I would not go back to this Bath and Body Works ever again. The people here are so rude and stuck up. I made a purchase for a concentration spray and had my boyfriend smell it and he did not like it because it was too girly for the house. So I went the next day to return the spray and saw that they were having a sale. I was quite upset because I bought the candle for full price and it was over half price. When I went up to the register I asked the woman if I could return and if there was a way to be able to price difference of the candles since I was just there yesterday. She said that she would be able to go and see if they can do it because she said she has done it before but have to ask the manager. When the manager came over she looked at me up and down and said not she could not do it because she said exactly "I do not know because there have been people who tried to steal and you must have the product here to be able for you to get the price difference" I looked at her in shocked and told he I see the exact candles I got and they have the same exact barcode why could you not do it off those ones? I was just here the day before and she said no she cannot do it at all. And since then I never came back. I just felt offended that she basically was accusing me of stealing. read more

Mind you, I would otherwise NEVER go to Bath & Body Works, simply because I'm a male and not into fragranced items, for myself anyway. I figured we would get a few small things and be on our way. Before my shopping excursion was over, we purchased $75 worth of "stuff," that after the discount. Talk about dad getting sucker punched! I will say this, the girls were super excited and the customer service was exceptional (thanks Cindy!). If you are looking for body lotion, candles, room sprays, shampoo, conditioner, car aromas, or anything to use when it comes to the bath, or your body, this is a good spot to look. The store is plenty big, and they have some good restaurant options in the immediate area. She gave me an answer that didn't correlate with the actual terms of the reward. The cashier up front was so rude about this. She could have easily apologized for the misunderstanding in a nice polite manner, and I would have gladly understood it was a misunderstanding. Instead the cashier was so rude she made me feel like I was doing something wrong. She was basically almost screaming at me in front of the line. The cashiers behavior was unacceptable. This one star is for the long blonde haired white associate and her manager, on duty on January 1, 2022, at 6:30pm, in the BBW store located outside the mall. I went in to make an even exchange for the 12 candles I purchased a few days prior because they came without lids. They declined to make an even exchange for regularly priced candles because they said that my purchase were discounted at 75% off. It is a corporate policy that they honor an even exchange as part of their 100% guarantee. These two incompetent employees decided to change this generous policy by arguing that there was a new policy of not making an even exchange. Since there was no way I could stack these candles in storage without the lids, and it was pointless to argue with ignorant employees, I returned all candles. I was able to contact customer service and the morning shift manager the following day. Both confirmed that BBW's exchange policy is never based on price but item for an item. Let me just say that these two inept individuals have no place serving a well-loved company. They are ruining BBW's reputation built on trust and confidence. First time I left a BBW store very disappointed. Moving forward, I would stand my ground and wait for a knowledgeable person to deal with. read more

I reviewed the other BBW in the promenade and this one in the inside of the mall is just as great. All the sales ladies here are very welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. Cindy (don't know if she's still working here though) and Naomi, and a few other workers here are the best. The store is always neat, clean, organized, and you can always easily find what you are looking for. Glad they fired some of those rude people from a couple of years ago that another yelper complained of. Now, no worries, all of the sales ladies here are nice and caring to their customers. I would like to point out that my negative rating does not come from a place of hate or anger, but instead should be used to shed light on where this store can improve on customer service. My visit was 3 days post Semi-Annual Sale. Unlike every other Bath & Body Works I have gone to there was no greeter in site. There was actually no one on the floor other to assist customers other than an employee coming in and out the back to stock merchandise. I was attempting to buy a Wallflower fragrance plug in and refill for my office. I could not locate them right away because the product that I saw for plug ins and refills were all seasonal scents. Again, a floor representative would have been helpful in my search. When I finally got to the register I was asked where I picked up the product and was told that the items I was purchasing were 4 for $20. I agreed to purchase 2 more refills for the deal and was told by the cashier that I could go grab the other two. I took no more that 30 seconds to walk there and back. I assumed I would return to the register to complete my transaction, but instead came back to the female cashier helping another two guests, presumably a mother and daughter, in line. I waited patiently for about 5-6 min for the transaction to complete and was informed that she would be with me "right away". The older customer grabbed her items in a bag and proceeded to step aside. Her daughter then pulled out her bag of items which I did not see. The cashier then again stated to me that she would be with me "right away" and continued to assist the younger customer instead of completing my transaction. I was headed to work from here and just did not have the time to wait for another customer to complete their transaction. At this point I was a little frustrated, but mostly annoyed that the way the cashier handled the situation. After getting to work and thinking about what happened I came to the conclusion that the whole situation could have been handled a little differently. I get that they want want to keep the line moving, but I was offered a deal by the cashier. I feel that if your goal is to increase sales in this way, then at least have to resources so that your customer does not have to do retrieve their own items. One way this could have been avoided would have been for the cashier to have used her walkie talkie to ask a floor rep to bring the items up. Seeing as no one was on the floor, I get why that was not an option for her. The second area in which I feel the cashier messed up was to cause me to have to wait for her to close out two customers before I could be helped again. she could have easily explained to the customers in line why they were waiting or maybe squeeze me in after the older lady's transaction was done. This experience is not one that will cause me to never go back, but definitely does not give me a reason to go back. I will stick with the other location located in the Southbay Galleria down Hawthorne Blvd. read more
