Ross. Where it's always hit or miss. This location is like every other one I've been to, maybe a little less selection, but not terribly so. The staff are friendly and get you in and out of line as quickly as they can. You can't beat Ross for value, things can be so cheap. Brand names too. This Ross is pretty descent. Like with any Ross sometimes they are hit or miss. Today was a miss for us. We were shopping for baby clothes and I guess we were late to the party. The cleanest Ross store I have ever been in and I have been to dozens of Ross stores in as many states! Wow! Everything was organized, clothing was hung on hangers, nothing laying on the floor. Again, Wow! The women's department had a large selection of dresses, and a variety in all the various sub-departments: sweaters, tops, pants, activewear, sleep and lingerie. Shoes and handbags. I found a zip up jacket in a cameo print that was different in that it is shades of black and gray not greens. It's so soft and perfect to wear with black yoga pants for the gym or running errands or meeting friends for lunch or...Best part, other than the cool cameo print, it was just $12.99. Love a bargain! Up front, almost when you walk in, there are two dressing rooms right in the middle of the women's department. I was fascinated. Turns out it's a great idea. When the store isn't busy, o need to staff the back dressing room. These "Pop-up" dressing rooms are visible to the cashiers and they are self entry. There is a rack outside the door for clothes you don't take. Very convenient. Also checked out the home decor area which had a decent selection and everything was neatly arranged on the shelves. Also wandered into a juniors as I often find tops and pants there for even less than in the women's department. Nothing caught my attention today, but the area was well stocked and again, clean. Took lots of pics because I have never seen a Ross so spotless. It felt like they just opened the store and I was the first one to enter! While other reviews commented on negative customer service, I didn't experience that at all. I needed assistance and a staff member on the floor was super helpful. Went through the check out to buy my cameo top then noticed a white ceramic Easter Bunny, modern in style, so came through the check out again. Each time the rep was efficient, friendly and accepted my OR license to avoid the sales tax, no problem. Good to know there is a shopping center just 15 minutes from my house that has both a Ross and a Marshall's for when I'm bargain hunting. Visiting in the morning on a weekday meant no traffic to or from Portland. And with Jantzen Beach on the way, it means I can also stop at HomeGoods and TJ Maxx! read more

Customer service is ALWAYS horrible. The store is always messy. I would recommend always going to Marshall's or even Tuesday morning over Ross. It's so gross. read more

They have definitely been on top of the inventory. It isn't as bare as it used to be. My husband found a toddler chair here that was exactly the same as one at Marshall's, but $20 less. Its hit or miss here, but we always stop here if we are in the shopping center. read more

found the underwear and the place, it was like close to Morrissey and fourth or something, but definitely close to UMPquabank, which too, could use a yelp! Banks can be awesome. if youre interested, you wont get Michael Morgans, unless you hit up fred Meyers, but they do have josef abboud, and sean john, which is what i gots.... read more

Before I moved to Vancouver I wouldn't go near our local Ross store. It was a filthy place and a waste of time unless you wanted broken housewares and stained clothing in the wrong size. This store has changed my mind!! Every associate was clean, friendly and helpful. The manager was straightening shelves and had a smile on his face. He was very polite too! The shelves and racks were fairly full and very well organized! Cleanliness and great customer service go a long way with me but they seem to be hard to come by these days. NOT at this store!! I can't say enough how glad I am that I decided to stop here on my way home! Thank you management and staff for a great shopping experience!! read more

I'm standing inline waiting to be checked out along with ten other people which I get due to increase foot traffic from the holidays. Your store LP's were up front, in front of all other the customers talking loud enough we could hear the conversation. Noah I believe his name was, had red hair, early 20's talking to the other LP guy also in his early 20's. Talking about how a customer from the other day was old enough to know better to talk to cashier in a way. I'm not sure what this customer has said nor was it my business. but to bad mouth your own customer from a couple days ago on the sales floor in front of your other customers is completely unprofessional & inappropriate. I've worked retail 16 years as management & was completely Appalled . when I was paying for my stuff the one LP kid hands Noah a fidget toys to which Noah replies omg you have to have one of these if you have a job here. Now I get working retail can be frustrating & challenging when you work with all walks of life and dealing with people who may not have manners but I'll tell you what if I heard my employees talk like that on the sales floor I would want to know. I love the prices at Ross, HATE the service at this particular one. I've gotten told "yeah I knew that wouldn't look right on you. I coulda told you that". The service, especially from Lauri, is awful. I bought baby things to announce to my husband we were expecting and she told me to "get over yourself" and refused to direct me to the manager. I have left 3 times now in a row from this particular store either in tears or feeling insulted and ignored. DO NOT GO HERE. Go to the one in Jantzen Beach. read more
