Went in here for a few things for my daughter for school, tonight. She is seven, we brought our things up to the counter, after the checker checked our things, she asked me if "I wanted to use a senoir discount" I am forty years old with a 7 yearold calling me mom throughout this time, this was meant to be an insult, even if she really did think I looked 20 years older than I am evidence should be obvious I am not. Thanks I'll spend the rest of my night thinking about how old I look and not returning to this store. Think its not a big deal? Wait until it happens to you!! Company policy should be to post a sign if they have such a discount and not insult their customers, a fun time with my daughter was ruined by the mood this put me in, hope that lady has the night she deserves. read more

This place has gone down...BIG TIME!! I remember once upon a time, one could go to Ross to find a good deal on a decent item. I've been to thrift stores that are better than this place. The employees don't seem to care either. If you ask someone on the floor to about something they all seem to say "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" and then go on their way. A Ross employee openly attempted to humiliate me ... it's 28°F outside and I have a 1 year old daughter. I was trying to get my baby to the car as fast as possible, so I ask if the entrance opens as an exit and she says "No". Well. When I got here at Ross, there were cops here for theft, so I wondered if that's why she said 'No' so I went ahead and checked myself before I brought my baby closer to the exit and as I walk over to check, the lady starts LOUDLY laughing at me for checking... and not a normal laugh it was intentionally projected and she starts making fun of me to another employee that's 10 feet or more away from her so they could both openly laugh at me.... But why....? It's a BEAUTIFUL day, beautiful weather, and so many reasons to be spreading positivity.... For this lady to be acting so unprofessional, it's just disappointing... When you're on the clock. You represent your employer (Ross)... Be professional. read more

This is probably the worst store I have ever been in. It's the middle of the day they only have two cashiers and they're 30 people in line. There are two more people just standing around near the registers not doing anything. Hadn't waited in line for half an hour I would leave. read more

This location is conveniently off IH 35 & Walzem next to PetsMart. Ross is always a hit or miss. Merchandise is always rotating as it goes out as quickly as it comes in. Key is to shop frequently. I'm a fan when I can find that special hidden treasure. read more

Soon as I walked in being a young minority management stared me down like a criminal. female manager waited till I started shopping then asked me to leave my backpack upfront. I guess being young & a minority is a security risk. I always shop & purchase here while walk in with my backpack after work. Strongly offended & never had this issue. Recently on Tuesday Club day (senior discount day ) the cashier was so distracted by the long line she failed to give me my requested discount. I didn't check the receipt which was thrown at me. This often happens when people are easily distracted and are too busy directing people in line. Be focused on you job on hand. read more

This place is convenient to where I work so I stop here sometimes despite the customer service lacking. I bought a lot of stuff in my last trip just before Christmas. I was really happy at the total price. I bought a battery powered truck for my 3 year old that he can ride at a great price. THEN, after checking out is when my experience took a bad turn. I had way too much to carry out in one trip but the shopping cart is prevented from leaving the store. There were 3 employees up front and I asked if they could help me. (Notice they didn't offer). It was late and very few customers were shopping. One young guy agreed to help. I told him I was going to pull my car in front of the store. He stood beside my cart inside the store while I carried out my first load. I went for my second load of bags and he picked up the motorized truck that weighed about 50 pounds. I thought he was going to follow me the 20 feet and put it in my trunk. I turned around and he's still standing inside holding the truck. I nicely asked him if he would carry the truck to my car. He answers, "no, I'm not allowed to carry stuff outside the store." So I say, " you're kidding me. How am I supposed to get that to my car?" He shrugged and set the truck down INSIDE THE FRONT DOOR. I ended up dragging it to my car and barely got it in the trunk. Keep that in mind if you shop here. Don't buy anything you can't carry out by yourself. Or maybe bring your own dolly. I guess the low prices mean they can't afford to pay decent people that know how to help customers. I could understand if they were busy but they were just standing around talking to each other. I can't imagine Ross has a policy that prevents employees from carrying out customer's purchases. read more

This place has a lot of dirty items. I know a lot of Ross stores are known for being dirty but this is one of the dirtiest ones I've been to in San Antonio so far. They didn't have much of a selection. I'm not sure if it's because it's pretty much right after the holidays though. This place is very disorganized and stuff is everywhere. They don't have public restrooms either. The carts have these large poles attached to them to keep you from taking the cart outside. I had bought a lot of stuff and didn't pay attention to the pole on the cart and tried to take it outside to my car. Since I was by myself, it was a lot to carry all in one shot. I was standing there by the door trying to fit all my bags on both arms and no employees or the loss prevention guy by the door bothered to offer a hand since I'm not allowed to take the cart outside. Luckily I was parked right by the door so I rushed over to my car. I didn't like this location at all. I know Ross stores are a hit or miss sometimes but my entire experience here just made me not even want to stop at this location ever again. My experience was so bad that as I'm making this review in the car, I kinda feel like returning my items. It truly killed my happy shopping experience. read more

This store is really messy. Staff is very rude. And even at that, not even helpful at all. Had an old lady walking out after she finished checking out and couldn't take the cart outside, she asked if someone can help her. The ONE lady that could of helped, decided to ask for someone else because "she needed to finish her department" like what the hell does this mean? Drop what your doing and help the customer carry out her stuff if you see she won't be able too and on top of that because she did ASK FOR YOU HELP! Terrible service. I even offered the lady to help her out with her stuff and I'm not even a staff member. How disappointing. On top of all of this, my sister noticed her receipt was never given to her. She went back to ask for it and was told "well you were supposed to take it from the printer machine" gave her a fucking hard time when they could of easily gone back to the transactions and printed another receipt since there was no where to be found and never given to her! And at the end just to receive "oh I'm sorry" from your staff. Crappy service, don't recommend to go to this store to shop! We are providing your business, the least you can do is be friendly. Either need better staff or get trained how to really handle customers and improve on that customer service. read more
