I rented from Ross Pacific and was so happy to have them out of my life, or so I thought. Just bought a home that was previously rented through them and they are still just as bad, if not worse. They will treat you as any other property management company would until 1) a homeowner brings something up 2) you decide to move (which you inevitably will) 3) you call them out for not following through with something on their end. On multiple occasions while renting we found them sitting in their cars outside of our house checking on the property (no notice given whatsoever, even though 24 hour notice is legally required), they failed to give the renters of the house we were purchasing proper notice regarding moving out, pushing back our closing date 3 weeks (even though the homeowners had notified them and the renters far in advance), they never followed through on their end regarding lawn care, but then harassed us and refused to re-rent the property we were in because we didn't realize that 'basic' lawn care included precisely edging the lawn, removing our vegetables from the garden weeks before we had planned on moving, removing grass that had grown between paving stones, and cleaning all surfaces of moss (we mowed our lawn on a regular basis). They will always side with the homeowner, blaming and harassing you for things without waiting to hear your side whatsoever. No matter how perfect a property is, run as fast as you can, do not rent from Ross Pacific, I guarantee you it will not be worth it! read more

The customer service was not satisfactory! The person who answered phone was not knowledgeable about criteria for application! I was on hold for the property manager to get more information! The manager answered my questions but she made me feel I was not qualified and ended the call abruptly! I was more professional and said ok have a great day! I wouldn't handle business with anyone who didn't have answers right off and be escalated to another and didn't sound confident! At least I ended the call with a positive tone! read more

My family and I just recently moved to town and found an adorable little house through Ross Pacific. Though we haven't had a ton of interaction with Bridgette at this point, we're happy with what we HAVE experienced. For Example: Throughout our myriad moves (thank you, construction industry!), I've learned my lesson well. Upon entering into a new rental agreement... ALWAYS TAKE PICTURES!! However, I was pleasantly surprised at our initial walk-through here in Vancouver, that Bridgette was the one pointing out specific items and then documenting them with her own camera. Yup. Ross Pacific is one of the most unprofessional companies I've dealt with. It turns out they're pretty notorious around town but we didn't know that going into our rental relationship. I'd say steer clear if you're looking to rent in the Vancouver/camas area because every interaction we've had with them has been a headache. I'm not sure where everybody came from but it seems like they all just walked in off the street. It's gotta be a lot of people's first jobs or something and Bridgette, who has to be a senior member of the staff, and has interacted with us on multiple occasions, pretended like she didn't even know who we were when we were forced to come in a month after our contract ended because they forgot stop taking money out. Which, is the inspiration for this glowing review. Complete incompetence, outright rudeness, and lying to our face every time they get caught with their pants around their ankles. BEWARE. I hired them to manage my house. Dave was my go to there. The job he did was terrible. All he knows how to do is pick up the phone and call someone out with out checking. Broke their contract with us by not calling us when a bill was over what we supposed to be notified. The rents moved out and caused damage they didn't seem that concerned. If you are a homeowner looking for a rental property company to manage your assets, I would reconsider. I have called on three separate occasions to inquire about a listed property and when we could see it. Every time I spoke to someone I was told Something different and no one ever got back to us. We rented a property managed by Ross Pacific for a little under a year. They did repairs promptly and we really had no issues until the end of our lease. The reason I'm giving a two star review is because tenants should not expect to get much of their security deposit back. Unless you are a professional cleaner, and leave zero spots on the carpet, etc, it is very unlikely you will get much of your deposit back. You might as well save yourself the trouble. We made the mistake of trying to clean the house and paying to have the carpets cleaned. We shouldn't have bothered. read more

After my mother died and taking care of her and her property I was ready to get a place of my own. I found a place on Craig s List..(they say be careful of Craig list and now I know why) this place was through Ross Pacific. When the guy showed up he had this smile that I could tell right away he was what you may call a "character". I eventually found a really nice place that is affordable and no slumlord. The bottom line is that I wrote a letter and stated I was moving and cleaned it up before I left. Two months later the CHARACTER calls and asks about the rent? I told him I wrote a letter and moved on...now the guy after a year later is charging me for rent? this is so wrong and the atty I talked to gave me some advice and I am taking it! Please do not rent from these CHARACTERS you will be sorry and they should all go to jail for all the bad things they do to folks read more

Where do I even start. Since the beginning of renting with them, it's been bad. House was not moved in ready. A lot of work had to get done to the house. Went from a hole in the roof that needed fixing, leaking from rain that damaged the inside of the room, new paint on wall, to new carpet, heater not working during winter, water coming out of shower, broken toilet, broken sewage, to garage needing a fix. All this was going on as we were a tenant in the house AND I just had a newborn baby. No sleep and just lots of stressed. But that's not even the worse of it. Every time anything went wrong, they look down on us thinking that we caused it. They held the water bill from us for 3 whole months without letting us know. Once again, they said it was our fault. We had to pay for the the late fee and had our water shut off. They were asking us why we didn't pay the bills. Told them we didn't get any. Turned out the bill was sent to the owner and tenants weren't allowed to receive it. They never took the blame. So we paid the fee plus no apologies were given. So with all this going on, their excuse was that the owner was stressed as well. read more

Overall unsatisfactory and odd experience. Our family is looking to move off the beaten path and we came across a rental in Camas on craigslist last Saturday morning that had amazing views and a decent price. Ross Pacific's website indicated they had Saturday office hours and the rental add said "available now" so I figured they would be able to show us the house on the same day. We left a voice mail and our call was returned, however, the young female who called us back was not able to show the house. We mentioned we wanted to drive by and she said that was fine and that if we called on Monday they could show us the inside. We ventured out and got lost but did manage to find the property and even though the house was older we loved it! Since I had to work on Monday my boyfriend got up and called to set up an appointment and none of the women in the office were willing to show him the property even though the woman I spoke with on Saturday said they would. Finally, my boyfriend has an appointment to meet them out there two days later. He brings with him a lot of questions and some tools for testing electric outlets, etc. This is when things went from bad to worse. A man in a luxury car shows up to show my boyfriend the property. The house is on a well, yet, the man has no idea where it is nor does he know the size of the property(1 acre or 3 etc). There is a shop that is supposedly "condemned" and off limits along with two locked bedrooms in the basement...Two bedrooms in the basement are locked and off limits to the renters....CREEPY. These reasons mixed with with a wood stove that would not open, loose wires hanging from ceilings, and the overall unwillingness to even try to rent this property or show enthusiasm to the potential renter are a huge red sign that says, "RUN". Run from this house(so sad because we would have made it beautiful!) and run from this company. read more

If I could give them a negative star I would. After the first lease is up it converts to a month to month.. what they don't tell you is that they harass you to get you to sign another one and when they don't get what they want they kick you out so they can raise the rent by 300 for the next poor sucker. They dont call you back when you call about things you need fixed like the fence sinking cause the house is on a subduction zone (which they never mentioned). When they come out to inspect they yell at you for not making sure they did THIER job. Also the people they send out to fix stuff (when they actually do) they bring thier little 4 year old children along to run around while they use dangerous tools like saws in the hot weather. Bridgette acts amazing at first then after awile her malevolent side comes out and the men at this place are just rude the whole time weather its warranted or not... so beware! read more

We are currently renting from Ross in Camas, and we definitely had a bumpy start with communication and our lawn being taken care of; but after speaking with Bridget and Libby about our frustrations, things have definitely started to improve! Libby has been very communicative and polite and has been following up with all our requests in a timely manner. I at first thought they didn't care for their tenants, but its becoming apparent now they truly do. read more

Horrible experience. Bridgette was probably the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Do not sign a lease with these people. You have been warned and if for some reason you have already done, don't hesitate and sue them when they try to keep your deposits and when they falsely blame you for non existent damages to the property you rented. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I have never dealt with a company as unprofessional and deceptive as Ross Pacific. Avoid this company at all costs! They will lie through their teeth to get you to sign a lease, they will make false promises about repairs that need to be done, they will try to charge you for wear and tear, they will refuse to return your calls once you are a tenant, and on more than one occasion they have screwed up posting my rent payments. I am so glad I got away from this company. If you do get stuck with them be sure to take tons and tons of pictures and be prepared to go to court with them. We used Ross to manage our rental property for 1 year and from day one were disappointed. Poor communication - Their representative told the renters that the microwave did not work and was being replaced ( the unit functioned it had a decorative piece that was to be replaced ) - unreturned e-mails and phone calls. When we handed the house over to the agency we were told it was not clean enough for their standards and they had to bring in another company to clean - ok fine, but the house was not returned to us as clean as we had turned it over to them ( before their additional cleaning ) The renter that was in the property tapped into the electrical breaker box in the garage and added an outlet ( claimed it was done by an licensed electrician, if that is the case that electrician needs to have his license revoked ) - not only was this a violation of the lease they signed - the agency did not notice it was there. Maybe it was the representative we dealt with as we have spoke to others who have had similar experiences with her, but either way we will never use Ross Pacific again. read more

After agreeing to charge a $300 cleaning and carpet move out fee, they charged over $700. They charged us, on top of the $700, for ridiculous (and illegal) things like light bulbs (which were not burned out) batteries in all the smoke alarms (which were not dead), and to install a heating unit air filter (which we purchased and left a pack of there). We were faulted for leaving the paint cans (that belonged to the house and were there before we were) and the satellite dish (which was there before us). We were faulted for the wind storm damage to the fence (which we reported multiple times, and they had not yet shown up to repair in over 4 mos). Those are just a few examples of many. This is after they did multiple walk throughs while we lived there too... These people are criminals, truly. RENT FROM SOMEONE ELSE, it's not worth the stress and hundreds of dollars you will lose. read more
