My sister and I had dinner there last night. We both had the petite filet and shared the mashed potato and brocotini. We were brought over a basket of bread and a dish of some sort of parmesean spread. Thats when it all went south. The dinner was delicious, the service excellent, desert good, but we felt sick a few hours later. We didn't understand why instead of butter we were served a milky dish with a nutter knife. It was liquid. We spread some on the bread and I thought it tasted good. I don't think the dinner was spoiled because it tasted very good, but that liquid spread was strange. I am disappointed we got sick because the experience otherwise was great. read more

Atmosphere - Very Good. The restaurant has a modern styling inside. There is a wrap around patio dining area, as well as ample seating inside consisting of some booths, but mostly tables. There is bar that seats about a dozen seats. Service - Very good. Our server (Sky) was welcoming and attentive. Food - Good. I could have easily assigned the experience 5 stars had the food only been a bit better. This is the second time that I dined at this restaurant. The first time I had a pasta entree and it was extremely salty. We had noticed many other people ordering the pizza then, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the charcuterie and the carne pizza to share with my wife. The pizza was very good. It had a thin crust with ample toppings. The charcuterie was disappointing. At a cost of $24, it was sparse. There three types of meat that were sliced thin into very tiny piles. The cheese consisted of about six very small pieces each of blue cheese and a dry (unrecognizable) cheese. There was a small pile of almonds, a tiny serving of relish and a few pieces of artichoke hearts. Overall Value - Good, but could be much better. read more

On Christmas Eve, we had a 7 pm reservation, but got to the bar at 6 pm, had a drink and then they took us early for our reservation as it was fairly empty. Sky was our server and he was excellent. We started off with the charcuterie board. It showed up with bleu cheese, which neither of us like, so he went and got us some mozzarella, which was very nice. Everything was good, but my only improvement would be to have more than one little piece of bread, maybe some crackers. We then decided to order a carne pizza. The pizza was perfect. Thin crust, tasty sauce and lots of toppings. Unfortunately we couldn't even finish it as we were so full. This was a much better experience than our previous trip. read more

I've never given a 1 star review before, but this restaurant really does not deliver on any aspect by which I review establishments. I'm sorry guys. We were greeted by a delightful hostess who struggled to figure out where to seat us, but we were seated quickly. An assistant waitress came by quickly to fill our water and inform us a waiter would be by shortly, but over 15 minutes went by before we had to ask the hostess to inquire about our waiter. We watched as our waiter went around, seemingly complaining to other waiters and the hostess about not being informed about her table (I think?) before she came and put on a smile and acted like there wasn't any issue; no explanation or apology. We ordered a negroni, olive flight and muscles to start. The drink tasted like nothing but bitters and the muscles tasted incredibly unfresh. They also put these random, boiled? white onions on top of the muscles that looked gross and had zero flavor. The olive flight was the height of the night minus the artichokes, which tasted canned. Otherwise the ricotta was light and fluffy, the fig jam was delicious, as well as the pine nuts. For dinner we ordered the clam linguini and roasted chicken gnocchi. Both were terrible. Those weird onions showed up on my linguini, like, why?! The gnocchi was cold and the chicken was some how dry and pasty at the same time. I've never complained about my food before, but when the waitress asked how the food was, I told her it wasn't great. She said she'd tell the chef. Later, she came by and asked if anyone came by to talk to us, we said no. She said someone should be by. We waited until the waitress came by and offered a free dessert, which we declined. Then she brought our check with the negroni taken off. We appreciated that, but 100$ for what we had was just awful. And why did no one come by? What's the lack of communication about in this place? These guys try to act like this authentic Italian restaurant to justify their high prices, but they cannot deliver. Avoid this place until they can get their act together. Great food , great service and lovely river and gulf view. The ciopino was light and very tasty. Clams, fish and shrimp. The gnocchi with truffles, mushroom and chicken was exceptional. Even the eggplant parmigiana was as good, if not better than any other I' ve ever had . Very attentive and sweet server. Flourless chocolate cake and vanilla gelato topped off a great meal. Everything about our dinner here was wonderful. The food, from the appetizers to desserts, was incredibly well prepared and delicious. The ambiance was very nice, as we were able to watch the excellent chefs at work. And the service couldn't have been better. The food is hit or miss. My fried whole branzino is the best I have had around the town but the pasta dishes failed. The gnocchi is very good though. We feel this place is not an Italian restaurant as it wants to be but good enough for seafood dish. The waiter needs training. He didn't know anything about wine, beer, liquor, seafood, meat, or their menu. But he has potential :) read more

Food and drinks were great. (Although no bread?!) As was staff. But even when it was early and 1/3 full at best it was very loud. Difficult to speak to my husband who was sitting across from me. Also it was a hike to get to. They do offer a golf cart to take you ( which I didn't know) but you will always be outdoors at least for part of your trip so plan accordingly. It is also a $12 valet to park and no comp for parking from the restaurants There is free parking but again a bit of a hike. If you did the free parking and walked all the way to the restaurant it would be at least 1/2 mile. Which on a nice day is fine (great view of the harbor) but rain or 90% it may not be for you. First time in the Sunseekers resort but have been curious about their food outlets. We came here for a special occasion and it did not disappoint. The resort is beautiful and big! We got driven to stretto in one of their golf cart valet to avoid the nasty weather. On the restaurant Chris attended us and he was very personable and attentive. We ordered the calamari, the carpaccio, the bolognese and the scallops. Everything was delicious and the plates returned to the kitchen clean! Omg I never in my wildest dreams thought the best meal and service I've had in over a year would be in Port Charlotte! We sat outside on Charlotte Harbor on a chilly day - they have a gorgeous view and amazing heat lamps. Our server was - Henry - was BOMB - so kind, fast and attentive!! The branzino was so good- the kids menu is beyond impressive- build your own pasta- with side of fruit which was expensive and high quality berries. I strongly disagree with the 1 or 2 star reviews! And I'm so glad it didn't sway us from going to Stretto. Awesome experience! Our server was friendly and attentive. The food, from the calamari appetizer and salads to the clam linguine, was delicious (especially the calamari!). It was our anniversary, and we mentioned that to our server. The chef came to our table and spent a few minutes talking with us. The GM also stopped at our table to congratulate us and check on our meal and service. Kudos to the staff! But even if that didn't happen (and the complementary prosecco) the food and service was excellent! Definitely recommend! read more

I went to Stretto's in the beautiful Sunseeker resort. I was greeted by a cheerful smile from Martha Gonzalez at the front of the restaurant. She made the evening the most enjoyable time especially dining in. The wait staff was totally awesome. The food was impeccable. I ordered the Margarita Pizza and it was spectacular. Martha kindly gave me the red carpet treatment. I felt like I was on my dream vacation. It was the great experience and a spectacular evening.. At 45 minutes we asked for bread and 3 slides were brought for 4 people and left without comment. The chicken parm was the worst we've ever had. The rest of the dishes were salty or watery. We returned for a third try to Stretto. On the plus side: They held our reservation for 15 extra minutes because it was SO BUSY at Level Blue. The two hostesses were most accommodating, showing us outside tables as well as inside. The garlic bread/ricotta appetizer is absolutely delicious. The Cedar Key Clams and linguini-my husband's favorite ! On the minus side: the meat lover's pizza was so salty, it wasn't even edible. The Gulf shrimp saute was tasty, but the "fresh asparagus" featured in the menu consisted of about a half-dozen quarter inch slices of a pencil thin spear. Disappointing! C'mon Stretto, for thirty dollars, you could slice up a couple asparagus spears! read more

Sat up at the bar with some friends last night and was served by an awesome bartender Hannah. My friend had the chocolate expresso martini that was to die for delicious! We shared calamari and two of the pizzas. All excellent choices! Before our food came out Chef Salazar came out to speak with us as we were served a sample of a polenta appetizer. My family of 8 was very excited to dine in the brand new restaurant at Sunseeker Resort. The restaurant itself was beautiful and clean. We had made reservations for two tables since they couldn't accommodate 8 people at 1 table, which was a bit annoying but we figured it would be busy since it's only day 2 of it being open. When we arrived, there wasn't very many patrons and we asked if they could put together two tables so we didn't have to separate our party. The woman at the front said no, so they sat us next to each other. Once we were sat, one of the servers asked us if we would like combine our tables, I responded that the lady at the front already said no, but another manager said it was okay. They put our two tables together, but the woman from the front came and snapped at the server and told him they aren't allowed to push tables together. I'm not sure who was the manager, but one of them allowed us to keep our tables together and we were very happy. The woman from the front came and gave us complimentary garlic bread because of the confusing interaction. Our server Alex was great, always making sure we were taken care of. The service was pretty slow, but we were expecting that since we had a bigger party and they had just opened. We sat at our table around 7:30 and didn't get our dinner until around 9:00. The food itself was amazing! The pasta was fresh, the sauce was spicy and full of flavor. Overall, I would come back just for the food and drinks. However, i was disappointed with the hostess staff. When i think about Italian cuisine, I think about sharing with lots of family, but they weren't able to accommodate 8 people without a big fuss. read more

The food is not good. I got the crab carbonara and it was made with a short rigatoni, hard pancetta, if it had crab I could not see or taste it, pasta was dry no sauce. My daughter also ordered the same dish and did not hardly eat any of it. We both got diarrhea. The other two people in our party ordered different dishes and theirs were also were not good. This is not a place to go if you want Italian food. Nothing comes with the meal. No salad, no bread. Portions are small. read more
