Paris Baguette, a French/Korean bakery chain, is very much like Tour les Jours to me, and I wanted to test to see which one of these self-serve bakery chains are better. My boyfriend and I liked Tous les Jours when we went to the Lyndhurst location when it opened about a year-ish ago. It wasn't perfect though and we had some minor quibbles. So while in the Avon area in July 2026, we stopped in for a snack. Inside, it is quite cute! Pretty packaging and lovely baked goods everywhere. Unfortunately, the women's restroom was a bit of a mess. The floor was a little dirty nd the toilet paper holder was busted up. But it wasn't terrible. This was just a snack break for the two of us, so we didn't order a ton. I got the coffee bun ($3.50) and a small korean iced milk coffee ($4.39). My bf got the smores croissant ($5.50) and a red bean bun ($3.10). His croissant was stuffed with marshmallow cream. He had fun eating it. My coffee bun was basically a brioche bun with a dusting of coffee. Call me basic, but I actually really loved it! Although, I gotta know how in the world was my korean iced coffee only 60 calories with all the half and half, whole milk, and syrup? It ended up being too sweet anyway but I did finish it because it cost me almost 5 bucks! I really liked my coffee bun and my bf enjoyed his red bean bun. He ended up wishing he had ordered the smores Belgian waffle instead of the croissant since the smores part of the croissant was only some icing on top of a regular croissant. Overall, I paid about $18 for 4 items, 2 of which we would order again. I liked the drinks at Tous les Jour better as well as the aesthetic, but my coffee bun was a real winner in the pastry department so we will call it a tie. BUTTERY AND FLAKY PASTRIES!! Established in South Korea so this bakery consists of a mix of European and Asian baked goods. I finally visited Paris Baguette in February 2026 and I arrived around 6:30am. They opened this Avon, Ohio location in June 2025. I visited a second time in March 2026. Paris Baguette is owned by a South Korean food group, much to my surprise. They only have about 2 locations in Paris, France. Most of their locations are in Asia (majority in South Korea). Other locations are in North America and Europe. ORDER -- Walk in and to your left are tongs and a tray. Pick out your items, place them on the try, then head to the counter to pay for them. Sit inside and enjoy the delicate bites or take your order to go. PASTRIES/BREAD -- Arrive early to get pastries because they normally sell out. They sell milk buns (bread) which is popular in Asia. There are a variety of pastries to choose from. During my 2 visits, I got the ham & cheese pastry ($5), Fruit Bite -- Raspberry ($3.00), a sweet potato pastry ($4) which I got for free because of their free pastry offer, and a pepperoni pastry ($5.69). All of the pastries that I ate were delicious. My favourites were the sweet potato pasty and the ham & cheese pastry. The sweet potato pastry is described as a "buttery twisted pastry with sweet potato and custard cream, sprinkled with black sesame seeds." -- this is a unique and tasty pastry. I noticed cakes for sale by the slice and whole cakes up at the counter. PRICES - Fair and standard. Yes, it will be expensive but that isn't surprising as most bakeries aren't cheap. The reviews complaining about prices should just be aware that this isn't a full asian bakery where the prices tend to be a bit lower. This is a mix of European and Asian. In addition, bakeries will not be cheap. SEATING -- This is a smaller cafe but there are about 7 tables and chairs to sit on plus a counter at the back to sit on. Overall, their baked goods are delicious and fresh plus the bakery is clean. Customer service has always been attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back. The only downside is if you arrive late, you may not have any options left to choose from plus the baked goods may not be as fresh as evident from my 2nd visit in March 2026 when I arrived after 6:30pm and they only had a few pastry options left. TIP 1 -- If you order the ham & cheese pastry, just simple ask them to heat it up for a few seconds before you eat it which is what I did. Otherwise, it won't taste as good because it will be cold as their baked goods are placed in display cases all day. Who wants to eat cold ham and cheese? Not me (haha). TIP 2 -- Download their app to get a free pastry with a purchase. The less valued item will be free. The sweet potato pastry ($4) that I got was free when I visited in March 2026. If you don't want to download their app, I was handed a sheet of paper with discounts after I ordered so be sure to ask for it when you are paying for your items. Standouts were the cruffin (wish it were a fruit cream instead like lemon or mango), supreme croissant (the big round wood stump looking things! Only chocolate flavors available...again, would be way better in raspberry or peach or something). The ham and cheese croissant looked like it would be so good but alas, it was kind of stiff and not as fresh. BF ordered the Korean beef grilled cheese and they didn't even use brioche buns. It was $11.99! Lawd have mercy, the prices were even higher than Tous les jour's! Overall freshness and taste couldn't compare to Tous les jour. Nothing here was as good as the croque monsieur. They did have a lot of variety but the store was kind of smaller than expected. The very similar strawberries n' cream croissant that is $5 something at Tous les jour is a whopping $6.10 here. Plus the high tax that they charge, it seemed criminal to ask for a tip on top of that. There are trays and tongs for you to grab everything for yourself. I guess I should tip myself since I served and cleaned my area. I'm glad I bundled this stop with Avon parks because otherwise it's 40+min out of the way for me. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon! Their seasonal Valentine's Day pastries are very popular. Half of the cake slices were already sold out, but the blueberry yogurt slice was nice and fresh. Hello Paris Baguette in NE Ohio! I was excited to see a location open up here. It was nostalgic coming here since the first time I tried them was in Seoul. The pastries were quite tasty - woukd recommend the curry croquet. The blueberry yogurt cake (sold by the slice and as a whole cake) was light and fluffy, tasting of blueberries amd not artificial. As for coffee, I grabbed a Pistachio cold foam and it tasted quite sweet and artificial to me. I'll have to try something else off of their drink menu next time. They did just open so it is quite popular and they do run out of things. The space itself is quite small. There's a number of tables to sit at but given how many people are there usually it can get quite loud which is to be expected. I'm excited to come back and try more from the menu! read more

So glad this franchise opened up in the area! We were excited to go here because we went to another location in Tampa Palms Florida but sadly this place was lacking. There was a lot of empty shelves and the place is very tiny and compact. The coffee was ok and not that great since it's automated from a machine. The desserts were good from what I remember. This morning I woke up super early and couldn't sleep. And so, I visited Paris Baguette that opens at 6 AM! Other bakeries and coffee shops tend to open around 8 or 9 AM. So if you tend to be an early bird, this cafe might be for you. The cafe is located in Avon Plaza. The cafe is very similar to Paris Baguette in Columbus except smaller. Inside you'll find black/white cafe decor, blue trims indicating various parts of the cafe (i.e. baked goods), and some indoor seating (no outdoor seating is available). At a little after 6 AM, the cafe was empty but full of sweets. The best way to describe this cafe in local terms is Tous Les Jours meets Mochinut. It's a mix of Asian and French bakery creations. There are various options to satisfy your sweet tooth. You can browse bakery cases, shop for cakes (by slice or whole, and candles), check out the pantries (with bread, coffee, jams), reach for sandwiches in the coolers, or get some coffee. There are plenty of choices for coffee and food for every taste. You can quickly get a lot of things! If you choose the route of selecting your own sweets, you'll grab a tray, tongs, and build your own tray. You'll check out at the end at the coffee counter. All sweets and savories are clearly marked with prices and names. There are lots of choices from pastries adorned with berries to Dubai Chocolate mochinuts to savory hot dog-looking treats. This time I tried fruit bite (with fresh raspberries), ham and cheese croissant, coffee cake, and chocolate croissant. I also ordered iced pistachio latte, and two large iced coffees. My total was around $30 which is typical for a bakery experience. It's a bit expensive if you ask me, but that's just local market price. The cafe is still figuring out a few things, so there were various minor issues. There were no baguettes or fresh bread. None of the treats I tried were freshly baked. They tasted maybe a day old. I go to a lot of local bakeries, and this was quite disappointing. I've definitely had better croissants. In addition, they tasted more bland/unbalanced compared to Columbus. The iced coffee was pretty diluted. Latte was mostly milk, little pistachio or coffee. I received hot pistachio latte instead of iced, which was quickly fixed. Point of sale did not work, my card had to be manually swiped by the employee. They were out of pastry packaging. The receipt with the survey wasn't provided to me, but I also didn't ask for it. I hope that as more time goes by these issues get fixed and they become more up to brand standards. I would probably return to try the elaborate cakes from cake cases for special occasions. I couldn't wait to try this place based on pictures I saw. The hype was not worth the experience. I ordered the Biscoff Cookie Butter Muffin, a strawberry croissant pastry, and an Iced cookie Butter Macchiato. The girl at the register was very clearly sick wearing a sweater and breathing with her mouth open and sniffling constantly. She took the croissant and tossed it in a box. You can hear the sound of it being thrown in. She then tried cramming the muffin in, having a hard time making it fit. She laid it on the side than was pushing down on it. The decorative cookie on the top came off taking away the appearance. In the meantime, her sweater sleeve was rubbing all over the muffin. I was getting grossed out. I don't know if she wiped her nose on her sleeve at some point then letting it touch my food. She should not have been around food being that sick. So I just politely said that I would like to get another one since her sweater was rubbing all over it and I was a germaphobic and she gave me a look and said fine and took the muffin and threw it in the sink. I went to get another one then she handed me a box and said you could box it yourself. Unfortunately the boxes were not tall enough. You had to lay it down to put it into the box. I don't have a picture of the other pastry since I gave that away to someone else. The drink was mediocre at best. It lacked flavoring that would make it stand out from a basic macchiato. The muffin was however very delicious. Again, since I gave away the other pastry, I don't know how that one tasted. This place is not cheap and definitely not worth the money of going again, especially after the bad service I had. After I had grabbed my boxes, she walked over to the other employee and they were whispering and looking over at me. I'm sure they will get better over time, so as of right now it's just "okay". I've been to many PB locations from S.Korea to San Fran to NYC -- so I'm quite familiar with what they have to offer. I've gone 2 times already and each time there were some problems. Both times I've gotten burnt croissants. The mochi doughnuts are so oily they don't hold their shape. The selection is crazy. Going in before 10ish is the way to go. We tried going before and it was sold put or ugly busy. When the line gets long it's because the cashiers are extremely slow. Ypu can eat in but Iwould't recommend it as it gets filthy fast and it's hard to keep up with how nasty people are so don't hold it against them until they've been open a while. We went for the Dubai latte but it was sold out so we have to go back. But the Dubai donut was wow. The artificial stuff like the pistachio donut was a miss. Tastes extremely chemically. Came on a Saturday morning a week or so after opening, and the line was out the door. Waited for a total of about 45 minutes to get to the cashier. The hold up was definitely at the counter. Customers were efficiently picking things up to purchase as they waited in line, but it seemed like the employees were struggling to put pastries and cakes in their boxes, and also sometimes didn't know the names of the products to find to ring up. The pastries we had were enjoyable and presentable, however, many of the breads had significant artificial food coloring (bright green??) and "dough softeners". I also ordered the pistachio latte which was unfortunately very artificial in flavor, almost tasted like almond extract. I'll probably give them another try in a month or so after the opening hype has died down and the employees have gotten into the groove of things. We love this place back in Arizona so we were excited to find out they were opening one here. I don't know anything about the food but I do know about the desserts. All their desserts are delicious! We love to order their blueberry chiffon cake, we got it for every birthday in AZ. When I saw they opened this location, I got their strawberry mochi donut and their berry tart. I was in the area so I decided to pay PB another visit today. Oh my, I regretted doing so. I had the belgian waffle with strawberry and nutella. It was dense and stale! At a glance, I thought it was dusted with powdered sugar. But when I bit into it, it tasted more like granulated sugar. I like sweets, but this waffle was way too sweet that it ached my teeth. Not sure if they fried the waffle in old oil or not, but it had a weird oily smell and an aftertaste of rancid oil. It surely didn't sit well with my tummy. Service was attentive/very good. Being new, as expected the place was bright, spotless and clean. The selections were many and were eye candy for sure. I got two pieces of carrot cake to go. I'm pretty sure there are those who like coconut and what tasted like pineapple) in carrot cake but it seemed there was more of this than carrot. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I went in on a Thursday 2.5-3 hours before they were closed and there was nothing other than 2 crossaints left I mean everything was wiped clean like they decided to close early. No cake slices only whole cakes. Staff was rude, did not greet us or inform us of why there was nothing available nor did they apologize for the inconvenience. Horrible experience. If they are going to close early or sell out before then there needs to be a sign or friendly employees to explain the situation. Will not be going back and suggest you don't go either. I first tried PB in New York, so I knew what to generally expect in Avon. With that said, I figured I'd give it some time before making my way. Let management and the team work through any issues that usually comes with running a newly opened store. I came in later in the day (5ish?) during the week, foot traffic wasn't bad at all. There were plenty of tongs & clean trays to use for making your selections. I went with a pineapple tart and a coffee roll, which my mom and I enjoyed. There were still plenty of good options, and the employees were refilling the cases with a few items that were low or empty. Staff were polite, everyone was doing their job. Checkout was quick and easy. I will definitely come back to try their coffee bevs and try whatever else looks good. Definitely recommend coming in earlier if you want to try some of the popular items (e.g. Dubai chocolate donut?) as you don't know how soon it'll get refilled - or if they're actually sold out for the day. read more

I ordered a birthday cake on January 22 for a February 6 pick up. I paid extra for a chocolate plaque with a happy birthday wish on it. When I got the cake home, there was no plaque. So I called the store and received nothing but pushback from a clueless "cake manager." Bottom lime is that I will never order a cake from them again. I paid $55.00 for an incomplete order, with no resolution. I had been to a Paris Baguette location in Columbus and was excited that we were getting one closer. The Columbus location blows this one out of the water. So tired of getting weak-ass excuses for terrible customer service. Being from New York, I am a huge fan of Paris Baguette. When I heard that one had opened up near Cleveland I was so excited to check it out. This place was beyond disappointing. The bread was burnt. Most of the pastries were out of stock and the ones that were left were cold. The line took forever. The place was packed and there was trash piling up on the trash cans. It felt extremely chaotic in there. The ambiance felt less like a French style bakery and more like a McDonald's at a rest stop on the side of a highway.
