My BFF and I stopped in after it was recommended to us for lunch by a couple young ladies we meet while shopping. We walked in and were almost immediately seated, we decided on the bar not that it was packed but just easy. We reviewed the menu and decided on the Detroit pizza with pepperoni and hot honey. Some of the best tasting pizza I have had. The dough was super yummy and you could tell it was cold aged and the sauce was oh so tasty, very fresh tomato taste but not acidic. I could eat this every day. We then ordered two desserts because why not. The raspberry sherbet with lemoncello was perfect as a dessert. And just the right amount. The trio of cannoli was good, we both loved the lemoncello one. The place was very nice on the inside and clean. We will be back. No question about it. read more

I've been wanting to try Roseville Pizza in Hamilton for some time now and I'm glad we did. We were given our choice of a few different tables but chose a cozy table for two in the corner. After being seated promptly our server came over and greeted us asking what we would like to drink. We ordered the focaccia bread appetizer with red sauce and it hit the spot immediately. It was fabulous! We both ordered Caesar salads which were also very good. I asked how long it took to get a pizza and she suggested that we order it when we ordered the appetizer so we did. We made the topping choices of pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. Some time later our server came and apologized telling us that someone bumped into her in the kitchen and she dropped our pizza. We didn't care and she was so apologetic. They immediately started another which came out very quickly. So quick that when I came back from the restroom my wife had already taken two slices for our plates before I could get a picture of it whole. The crust was super thin and lightly browned underneath. The edges were perfect looking with the black wood fired bubbles. (No it did not taste burned) I love their sauce which was slightly tangy yet super delicious. Since they had to remake our pizza they offered us a free dessert however we were full but did take a cannoli to go. After getting home and setting in we had the cannoli and it was also to die for. While we already have our favorite local pizza places close to home I believe we have just added another. I'm sure that we will return over and over. read more

Local pizza made in a brick oven that tastes like it's from Italy. This isn't a chain restaurant so they'll treat like an old friend who's come over to spend some time with them. Good beer, seasonal cocktails, and wine are all on the menu. It's a small place that seats 30ish customers at a time. Cozy and inviting with a staff who is eager to help. The food here is so tasty. I had pretzel bites with beer cheese, Parmesan bread, and Italian sausage pizza. The crust is thick and has the right amount of crisp. We were excited to see a a new local pizza place offering wood-fired pizza and couldn't wait to try it out. Steel City Pizza did not disappoint. Everyone was friendly, the service was good and the pizza was delicious. We ate in the outdoor space near the pizza oven. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the bonus pizza aroma out there was amazing. They had plenty of drink options to choose from, and the bartender helped steer us in the right direction. I took off one star because they are still working out some kinks with the bill paying portion, but I will be back often and tell our friends to check it out too. Definitely recommend. read more

Opening weekend in Hamilton, This place is like walking into an old pizza joint in New Haven, Connecticut. Well, it's not coal fired pizza like New Haven's, Sally's Apizza and Frank Pepe, it is the next best thing, Wood Fired. The pizzas are made with fresh never frozen ingredients and you can taste it, and your body will thank you for it. The under carriage is on point with no flop, and a crust with a crunch, Yum!! We had been their twice, good food and a good dining experience. We were turned away twice without a reservation, the restaurant is very small and cramped inside. I tried to make a reservation for this Friday, and they demand a credit card to make a reservation. If we needed to cancel for any reason, without 24 hours notice, they would charge my credit card $15/person, $60 for my reservation for 4. I'm not giving a credit card for a reservation in a pizza place. read more

Absolutely wonderful! We had very courteous service and interactive, prompt service from both the maître d' and our waitress. We had the Bruschetta-the balsamic glaze has a wonderful zing! The Forge (white pizza) was perfectly fired with a crisp thin outer crust and yet airy dough topped with their delicious medley of cheese & greens a few of our own added toppings. Tiny place, which isn't a huge problem but i came in with 3 other people and we were forced to sit outside because there isn't a table big enough inside. Not the biggest deal, but unfortunately it was about to rain and the service is so incredibly slow so I was sitting there thinking "man, I hope a wet pizza tastes good". Beat the rain fortunately, even though im not sure how. I got water, two people got soda to drink. The water comes in the tiniest cup they could find that never gets refilled and the sodas come in cans. Pretty crappy look for the kind of price theyre charging. 22+ bucks for a medium pizza is a pretty steep ask...once it came out it tasted pretty good, even though they screwed mine up, but at those prices you should at least get decent service and not have to wait almost an hour for a pizza. There are not enough patrons to justify how bad the service is. Bottom line, this place has some kinks to iron out. Good food, terrible service. read more
