Me and boo was walking around downtown Hamilton and decided to stop here to get a bite. We were not disappointed either . We ordered Brussels sprouts covered with hot honey and chickpeas as an appetizer and they were cooked right, crunchy, the hot honey flavor really popped and overall a plate licker . I ordered the birria dip, which was beef birria inside French bread, and consonme dip. I swear I only ate a quarter of it . The meat was seasoned super well and the consonme was even better. I loved everything about it. My boo ordered a burger. I can't quite remember which one but I know he said it was pretty good. We did order drinks as well I ordered a margarita ofc and he ordered a lemonade cooler if I'm not mistaken. Our server was pretty nice and patient. The space is great, we had the opportunity to sit outside on the patio and that was great for the beautiful night we had. The service was good throughout the whole evening, attentive and timely. The appetizer was amazing (chefs kiss)! Both of our meals were also delicious. The Mac and cheese was a miss for us, we didn't really like it very much. We also had a cookie for dessert and this was also a miss for us. It was dry and pretty bland, definitely some areas for improvement. The building isn't very spacious so we sat in the whiskey bar area (separate room) behind the larger bar. It was far quieter and we had our own bartender in the room. We tried a few beers on tap before having a tasty shrimp appetizer. The chicken sandwich I had after was also decent. Fries were on the smaller side but I liked the sauce. Heard about Billy Yanks $8 burger meal special on mondays, me and my girl being big burger connoisseurs, we had to check it out. We went in about an hour before close. Took a minute to get seated. Server approached us after a little with a smile and friendly attitude. Tonight we wanted to make it simple, try out a cheap burger, maybe a beer and get on the road. Our server understood that and was super cool about it. She walked us though the deal, cheeseburger with onions lettuce and pickle plus fries. I added egg to mine. Good choice too for only 2 bucks more. I got the nirvana or bust on tap from third eye brewery as well, shout out third eye. For $8, you can't go wrong with this burger. It's a solid 7/8/10. A good burger, nothing mind blowing, but would come back for it again. Fries were shoestring and crispy. The house sauce was good. Bathroom atmosphere was a surprise. Met a friend for lunch about 12:30 on the last Saturday in August. The place was not packed but there was a constant flow of people. Friend has been here before and knew exactly what he wanted. We visit pretty frequently. This trip was not our favorite. Took 15 mins to get waited on. Another 10-15 to get our drinks and then finally we were able to order. Food came quick but after someone dropped off the food we never once seen the server again until I flagged down someone for another beer which we never got, and another for boxes. Finally we seen her with the boxes. Got the check it was $54 and some change I gave her 80 and ask for change. She came back with a 5 and my 20. Unfortunately I didn't have anything smaller to give her so she didn't get a good tip. Unsure if it was her first night week or first job but more training needs done here. Ate here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch during brunch hours. Ordered the salmon BLT which was pretty good with tasty fries. Restaurant doesn't seat too many people. Clean, organized, and many people working. Parking is a little challenging so be prepared to drive around looking for a close spot. Not a bourbon drinker but noticed they carry mostly Buffalo Trace. This is a super cute little spot on Main St, in the newly revitalized area of Hamilton. Parking is difficult. The restaurant location has a rich history (the historic Hammel Building). We were a bit let down. After studying the menu and looking for a specific item I saw reviewed here, I had to settle for the Strawberry Fields salad. It was decent, but I feel it's unacceptable for the kitchen/wait staff not to communicate to the customers when an item included in the entree is not in stock. When I realized it was missing from my salad, I was eventually able to bring this to our servers attention. After being told they're out, our bill was not adjusted to reflect the missing item. The problem is, had I added something to replace that missing item, I would've been charged. The pretzel bites with the pimento cheese was 5 stars. My salad was 2 stars. My husband's burger was 3.5 stars. The service was 2 stars. The area is nice! We plan to try another restaurant in the area soon! read more

Came here Friday evening for dinner and drinks with some family. Had a little bit of a wait. But wasn't too bad. 3 of us got burgers and fries or onion rings and my niece got the fried chicken. We all ordered drinks. All babe I'm a timely manner and tasted really good. Good was super tasty, hot and fresh. I loved that the burgers were smash burgers with the crisp on the edges. I loved the batter on the onion rings too. Portions were pretty big as well. Our waitress was very attentive and kept our drinks refilled. It was a bit noisy in there but it was pretty busy. Visited this past Saturday 10/11/25 while in town for a short visit. Walking in the door, the host did not lift her eyes from her phone to greet us. We waited for her attention and requested a table for two outside. Once she spoke to us, she was rude. Not sure what she said to us as she was walking away, but she was not welcoming in the least bit. Not a smile, not a kind word. Instead, she acted as if we were there to annoy her. I cannot believe people who work customer service are not trained to make people feel welcomed into their establishment. I guess we were supposed to follow her as she marched off with menus, and a sour look on her face. Needless to say, we decided to leave and find another location for lunch. Hopefully, she was just having a bad day & doesn't treat all their customers like that. read more

Since we were first timers we got a little bit out of hand since there was really so much on the menu that looked really good. Egg rolls for app, awesome. Burgers since it was that kind of night: Billy Burger kicks ass. Their take on the Big Mac and we also got the Billy Blue. I gotta hand it to whoever they get their beef from because for being ground beef, it's got great flavor. Shoestring fries with the burgers and we finished with Apple Pie Bread Pudding and Pineapple Upside down Cake. I really wanted to try at least 4 other items on the menu so I guess we're going to have to return. I have come to Billy Yanks rather frequently over the last few years, and I have not had a bad experience to this day. Their food selection is great, from burgers, fries, chicken and waffles, apps, etc. each item is prepared with excellence. The staff has always been incredibly pleasant, prices are very fair, and even on busy nights, once you sit down at a table, it doesn't take forever to get your food. My BFF suggested Billy Yanks, so I brought my other BFF for dinner. A Wednesday afternoon at 5pm and they only had 3 tables empty. All I can say is this was some of the best service I have ever seen let along in a small restaurant/bar. The food was amazing and I can't wait to come back again. Parking is mostly across the street in a public lot, fine for most but a bit more difficult for someone who uses a cane. Restaurant isn't big, but it's cute. The staff is wonderful, very helpful.
