Such a cute spot!! The environment was nice and elevated. The service was so fast. Within 5 minutes of ordering our appetizer, it came out. The meatballs and garlic bread were delicious. The salmon was delicious and the sauce on it was actually dreamy. I wasn't impressed with the whipped potatoes and the beef and pork ragu was just okay. Love the open kitchen design and our waitress was nice. Not sure if I would necessarily come back but glad I tried it! read more

In town for a mini holiday and had high hopes for dinner after reading all the glowing reviews. Kicked things off with the Grape Crush martini--just the right mix of sweet and smooth. The goat cheese ravioli absolutely stole the show--light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Now, I'm not one for spicy surprises, so ordering the Bourbon BBQ Glazed Pork Chop with sweet corn elote was a bold (and slightly misguided) move. Let's just say my tastebuds went on a little adventure I didn't sign up for. Wrapped up with vanilla ice cream that was... oddly sticky? Even though this restaurant is located in a suburban strip center, the options and ambiance are recommended. All four of us were highly satisfied with our meal choices . The clyborne green and salmon salads were crisp & fresh & the dressing is very good. The burger was huge & cooked perfectly. The portion of pork & beef ragu was generous. Goat cheese ravioli highly recommended as well. Definitely worth a visit and looking forward to going again to try more options even though the ones we sampled were all amazing! Finally was able to visit clyborne! My friend moved to this area and we stopped by for dinner. Appetizers were nice- poutine and calamari. I took my other friend's advice, who frequented the restaurant, and we had the stuffed bbq pork and the crab stuffed walleye. Both were large portions and tasty. The donuts for dessert are amazing, the caramel sauce really took it to the next level. read more

I've been here a few times over the past few years. I usually sit at the bar as it's pretty easy to get in. The wedge salad is amazing and my go to. The chicken strips are also delicious. We tried the bologna sandwhich this time and it was pretty tasty. My dirty martini was a bit strong considering I usually get it extra dirty. Over all a solid choice for a date night! read more

We celebrated Mother's and Father's Day together. Going after Father's Day made it less crowded. The service is top notch. My waiter asked about food allergies, and I mentioned my shell fish allergy. The manager came out to assure me that they separately food to avoid any cross contamination. My wife and I had the knife and fork wedge, which was top notch. My son, grandson, & daughter-in-law had burgers. My daughter-in-law had the Mushroom Lentil Burger. My grandson had the Clyborne Burger while my son had Crispy Chicken Sandwich. They were all great. My wife had the Bourbon BBQ Glazed Pork Chop, and I had the Chile Rubbed NY Strip. The NY Strip (done medium) was a little tough, but tasty. The water was great. What was great was that we had one of the corner booths. It could hold up to 8 people, and it was great. It was away from the noise of the bar, and close to the bath room. read more

I went on a Friday night without a reservation was able to score bar top seating. I would highly recommend making a reservation for weekend evenings. If you have to wait there is a few lounge seating and can get a drink from the bar while you wait. The menu has a variety of options, including appetizers that varied from flatbread, meatballs, calamari , veggies, soups and salads. I tried their sessional flatbread which was entree size or could be split with others. I also got their goat cheese apple salad which was very good but their vinaigrette was on the tarty side. Their drinks were good and they had a nice wine and cocktail selection. I loved their espresso martini had milk and espresso art. The only thing is we ordered all our food at once and by the time our dinner entree was put in, there were other larger group tickets that popped up so it was a bit of a wait in between appetizers and dinner entrees. We had a great dinner with friends trying this restaurant for the first time. The botanist butterfly cocktail was yummy, and all of the food was delicious. I ordered the filet, which was cooked perfectly and so good! I will also be dreaming about the poutine for a while. The goetta on top was soooo good! We also ordered the truffle mushroom flatbread. The taste of the truffle really shined through and complimented the flatbread. This is the perfect date night spot. read more

After trying to figure out where to eat near our hotel, my colleague and I tried this spot since it's highly rated and offers scratch made dishes. The server indicated all food is made from scratch. The sauces, soups, dressings, and even the ice cream is made in house. Inside is a nice interior that has dark woods, black walls, and some brick accent walls. I ended up choosing the walleye and my colleague tried the pork chop. We both easily cleaned our plates and agreed the food was tasty. So good that made us want to order dessert. I chose the homemade vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, and my colleague ordered the apple crisp. The latter is large enough to share but he ordered it for himself and nearly finished the entire dessert which is served in a small cast iron pan. My ice cream was really delicious too. What was even better was the chocolate sauce on the side. I drizzled it all on the ice cream and wish I would have saved some to take back to the hotel and bathe in it. It was that good! read more

Stopped in for dinner tonite based on numerous SM recommendations. Didn't really know what to expect beyond good American food and that's what we experienced. We had anticipated trying a seafood or pasta option and surprised ourselves by choosing sandwiches...a fried bologna and a hamburger. Seriously. And, they were great! The burger was cooked a perfect MR and the bologna was thick and delicious! The accompanying fries were served hot and extra well done! Perfection! Drink: Tahona, delicious, refreshing and I wish I had an Uber to indulge in a few of these. For apps we had calamari and pork skins. The calamari was perfect, crispy, tender and not chewy. We split the filet medallions with hash brown potatoes. We devoured, no picture because we ate it so fast. The filet was butter knife tender. Yes, we had dessert. I really enjoyed eating here, from the ambiance, service and food quality. We were on the way to CVG from Centerville, and wanted a good meal. It was near closing time but everyone made us feel welcome and appreciated. We started with the calamari with peppers. The calamari was cooked perfectly - tender and not overloaded with breading. The dish was spicy but not overly so. I got the fried bologna sandwich and it was excellent. My partner had the biryani and it was excellent. No time for dessert but next time. Service was excellent. Even though we closed down the restaurant, every e wished us a great night. I was very impressed and will definitely come back!! read more

Really excellent menu! The vibe is very cozy, and I sat at the counter facing the open kitchen, which was super cool. Tried the excellent cheddar scallion biscuits with honey butter (trust me on this), the vegetable biryiani, and the apple beet salad with salmon added for protein. All were very tasty, especially the salmon which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My only quibble at all was that the beets were cut really finely, and I wanted more of them! But I'm not holding that against them, I'm just a big beet fan! Also tried the yummy buckeye pot de creme, big fan! The service was very nice and quick considering how packed the place was. I recommend getting reservations if you can! Parking is a little tight, so keep that in mind as well. read more

We walked in on a Tuesday night and sat at the bar. The place was cute on the inside, albeit a little dark. The bar stools were very comfortable, but sit low to the bar (I'm 5'9'' and I even felt low in the stool). We were greeted right away and asked our names, but both ladies behind the bar never offered up their names. That is one pet peeve we have while dining out. We started with the Tahona and Botanist Butterfly cocktails. Both were very well presented and good. We then ordered the seared Ahi Tuna appetizer. It looked a little messy when presented, and the lemon Tamari sauce and Yuzu ginger aioli totally overpowered the tuna with way too much acidity. Add on the pickled Fresno and wow! A lot for the delicate tuna. It is also touted as a cold dish, but was served in a very warm bowl that seemingly just came out of the dishwasher. In addition, we ordered the pork rinds because I love fresh pork rinds. The were seasoned well, but seemed they had been fried earlier and not to order because they were cold. But we still enjoyed them. The pan seared salmon over ancient grains was good, except it lacked seasoning. We ordered it medium rare, and the chef cooked it perfectly. The sweet corn and tomato carbonara also lacked seasoning. The pasta was cooked well, and I loved the bits of charred corn and bacon, but there was hardly any basil. Even my leftovers the next day needed salt. Also, the tomato, cucumber, radish salad is used on many of their dishes. That's not a bad thing, but a universal garnish on many dishes lacks creativity on the chef's part. We would like to go back and try their fried chicken and burger. read more

My Husband and I dined at S W Clyborne last night, we sat kitchen observatory bar top, first of all, kudos to the chef's and food prep staff working so hard to create our meals! Everything looked very clean and all the chefs frequently changed their gloves. We ordered the Blue cheese wedge salad to split and a lovely crisp bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to start, perfect pairing for a 90 degree humid day. I love a good potent creamy blue cheese and bacon wedge salad and this one was a dream! My husband was almost licking his plate! Our service was very friendly and very on point with recommendations, I wish I could remember her name!! Honestly this is one of the first dining experiences that exceeded our expectations, as we both love to enjoy new restaurants but also love to cook at home. My husband loved Southern Fried Chicken, not too heavily breaded with fries and Mac and Cheese. The star of the show in both of our opinions was the Crab Crusted Walleye and Broccolini...HOLY flavor bomb!!! I could probably eat this EVERY night for dinner! We will be visiting again! read more

We always enjoy our experience here! Although we were near the bar & a little loud, it was cozy. My husband came over to sit by me on the bench, as the stools sat really low. Even the couple next to us was laughing about having the same experience! For apps, we got the goat cheese ravioli... holy moly they are great! I forgot to take a pic of our dinners, ugh! But the 4oz filets were delicious. The demi glaze was a little strong though. My husband added meat to his wedge salad and really liked it. The Mac n cheese is worth any calories you're counting! TONS of gluten-free options as well, and even a kids menu. The inside is stunning, split between a cozy bar area, a main dining space, and a chef's table allowing a first-hand look into the kitchen. The food was mostly marvelous. Here's what we tried: Clyborne Meatballs- housemade with a whipped ricotta Cheddar Scallion Biscuits - amazing alone, life changing with the honey butter Queen City Poutine - loaded with cheese curds and cheese sauce. VERY salty though so be careful if watching your sodium (I actually gelt swollen after eating it) Fresh Catch Feature: Blackened Wahoo- very fresh and hearty fish Shrimp Scampi Pasta - in a light white wine garlic sauce, but surprised spicy. A little bland overall but fine Only other very minor complaint is that they don't serve the water with ice, so it wasn't too pleasant to drink with the meal at room temperature, but otherwise would definitely love to try more menu items next time. read more

Shocked that I had never been to Clyborne especially since I live close and hear such good things about it. Had a work dinner here in late April. We had a group of 7. I definitely think this is a 4 star place, but I am going to give them three stars. One of my coworkers had a rubber band in her meal. The restaurant did a great job addressing the issue and replacing the entrée, but I find this unacceptable. Overall the food was good. I had the salmon. It was tasty. The wine prices are reasonable. Our service was ok. I think our server may have been new. I will give Clyborne another chance, but they need to make sure that a foreign object does not make it onto a plate. read more

First time dining at this establishment. We started with the cheese curds which were recommended by the hostess, they weren't very good. Very salty and mushy, guess I was expecting something with a crunchy exterior. My partner got the shrimp scampi and it was very delicious. I went with the NY Strip and it was served with the square hash browns. The hash browns were very good and the strip was ok. Service was lukewarm but we all have bad days. read more

I took my mother- and father-in-law here for dinner recently and we all loved our meals. My MIL said the salmon was the best she ever had. Every thing here was outstanding - apps, entrees, deserts, cocktails, ambiance, and service. My favorite was the salmon. Cooked to perfection and came with a little garnish on a bed of rice with some sauce. The filet mignon and goat cheese raviolis were also deliocus. Our waiter Madux was great, giving good food recommendations and accommodating our drink requests. Spicy mezcal margarita (off the menu) was yummy. And they have a solid draft beer selection. If you save room for desert, highly recommend the donut holes with moose cream. Incredible when eaten together. If you're in the area, it's a must go. Get reservations though, so you can sit in the good part of the restaurant. They have a dining hall type seating area, which I think is pretty open, just a different dining experience. read more

The food and service is always great! It is a modern upscale atmosphere but also fun. The decor is beautiful and the ability to see the kitchen is a nice touch, too. We had the pimento cheese appetizer with chips and fresh pork rinds and it was delicious. The pork rinds were still popping when they were served to us! For entrees I had the salmon with potatoes and asparagus and my husband had the duo of filets. Both meals were excellent, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We have been more than once and the experience is consistent. We love this place and always try to stop by when we're in town. read more

I ended up getting the Clyborne Burger. The service was pretty good, our waitress did a good job at recommending food for me and my guest. We have been to this place 2 times. The 1st. time the POUTINE was ordered. This dish was disgusting! Terribly salty, really mushy and basically inedible. We decided to give the place a 2nd. chance. The 2nd. time was Aug. 31, 2025. The "SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN" with a side of "MACARONI & CHEESE", was ordered by each of us. Both orders were OVERCOOKED, UNAPPETIZING TO LOOK AT, DRY, and TASTELESS. The "MACARONI" was watery and quite bland. At $23. for 4 pieces ($46. total for the 2 orders) of chicken and watery macaroni that ended up in the garbage-can is a bit much. AND THE COFFEE MAKER WAS OUT OF ORDER!! NO COFFEE!! We will not give the Clyborne a 3rd. chance. Shameful. The serve staff was very good and should be commended for being professional under unneccessary duress. Beautiful interior, ambiance. Service at the bar was below average at best. 3 bartenders, one of which was only waiting on bar patrons. His attention to customers was minimal; he seemed bored and uninterested. He did not offer appetizers, additional beverages, did not make any recommendations, did not clear plates until we were leaving, did not interact with bar patrons. Very poor service. Food was bland. We were here with family post thanksgiving. It was a big group and mix of vegetarians and meat eaters and various age groups. They catered to all of us and had great food. The service is awesome and they went to great extent to ensure there was no meat added for the vegetarians . The drinks were awesome and so were the desserts. Excellent service and atmosphere. All the food was prepared well. There was a curry soup that I wasn't sure if so they gave me a sample. It was amazing. It I actually ended up ordering the vegetable biryani. You can add protein if you want to, but I did not. They have pork rinds that are very fresh and came out crackling. Super good with pimento dip. The atmosphere is super awesome with a industrial yet classy ambiance. I love they use old China and it's mismatched. It gives the place great character. read more

I had an amazing night at Clybournes. This was my first time joining and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant itself is beautiful to look at and the vibe is nice. They are very accommodating to those with gluten free diets and I had a lot to choose from. The manager came to personally assure me I'd be fine and that she'd alerted the kitchen about my issue. I started with the peach old fashioned which was strong and not too sweet. I chose the crab crusted walleye because I was in the mood for a fish dish and it was good but the crust was more like a creamy topping which I wasn't a huge fan of. I also tried the delicious gluten free macaroni and cheese. My Beau had the burger, which he enjoyed but subbed out the bun for a pretzel one. The manager was so accommodating and wanted us to have donuts for dessert, which I absolutely loved!!! I can't wait to return and try more things. read more

I'm sorry to have to write this but last night's experience was awful. We had a reservation for 6:30. Upon arriving we were told our table was being set up. 30 minutes later we were seated at a table too small for our group of 7. We were told our first round of drinks would be comped while we waited to be moved. We were moved ten minutes later and all seemed good. However, our drinks didn't arrive for 20 minutes, our server didn't take our order for another 30 minutes and our food finally arrive 95 minutes after we sat down. The manager told us the kitchen was slammed and early parties were staying longer than was assumed. That did not really help us. There was a whole crowd of people waiting to be seated throughout the evening. The food, when it arrived, was just ok - the halibut was dry and the portions seemed smaller than usual. Maybe they were trying to stretch what they had to last the rest of the evening. Several people at our table received their food a good ten minutes before the last two were served. Part of our order didn't arrive and we needed to ask for it again. Two groups of four were seated next to us and both were served and completed their meals before we were. There seemed to be plenty of servers and kitchen staff but they clearly were having trouble handling the volumes of people. I suspect they booked too many tables too close together. So they set themselves up to fail. I suspect our waitress was pretty inexperienced. She kept disappearing for long stretches of time. If so, I wonder why the manager wasn't monitoring her more closely so she could have seen she was overwhelmed. When the check arrived (and that came very promptly) the drinks that were to be comped were not so the check was incorrect. It was Mothers Day so a special day for everyone. I know the three mothers in our group did not feel they were treated as special. Really it was one of m worst dining experiences in a very long time. read more
