A Hidden Gem - Don't Miss This Place! The Stone Tavern in Hamilton is a beautiful British pub with a cozy, welcoming vibe. We stopped in for lunch and everything was absolutely phenomenal. The food was out of this world, and the service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and fast. Our waitress--Caitlin, I believe--was absolutely phenomenal. She was incredibly friendly, and attentive, all with a warm smile. She really made our experience even more enjoyable. I'm so glad I checked Yelp before picking a spot, because this place truly stands out. If you're anywhere near Hamilton, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Yes, it's a beautiful, sturdy building that you just know is reeking of historical significance. Parking is as easy as everyone is saying -- there always seems to be room on the street. The waitress seemed helpful enough, though, as there's weren't many customers this early in the evening, she was too busy watching the Winter Olympics to give me more than the cursory attention needed to bring my food out and take my payment. But the food definitely made up for that. This is made-from-scratch creativity at its finest. I got the Reuben's Stones, expecting a fried fritter, but got a delicate, made-like-my-mamma-would pastry instead. It was soft and doughy inside, and jam-packed with corned beef. The fish in the fish and chips was huge, hot, and right out of the fryer. And the fries had to be made from scratch, because I've never seen that particular shape come out of a freezer bag: they looked cut naturally from the round, and were also hot and tasty. And the warm butter cake was as amazing as everyone said. Actually it's this small squat cake that looks like a muffin -- until you cut into it and realize it's soaked in syrup inside & absolutely delicious. The only disappointment were the green beans --- they were overcooked and mushy -- though maybe that's how English green beans are authentically cooked. Overall, though, my visit was a real adventure filled with authentic and delicious surprises. I will definitely be back to try more.

Saw great reviews for the Stone Tavern, so my wife and I decided to give it a shot while we were nearby. First the good. The place is cute. Fun looking building with a mini parking lot or on street parking. Small set of outdoor tables, but we chose to eat inside. The staff was super friendly and despite what I read about needing to order at the bar, Jason came right to our table and he was GREAT! He recommended the fish and chips and the shepherd pie. We had those and the Hanky Pankys as an appetizer. First watch out: English pub that only had American domestics and Guinness on tap...the only local brew was out of service. Oh well, we adapted. On to the food... We enjoyed the appetizers. They reminded my wife of something her mom had made when she was growing up. For me, they could have used more cheese. We then had the entrees the shepherd pie was a great presentation, but a bit greasy and the ground beef was not the shredded rib I read about in the reviews. I checked and the menu did say ground beef. My bad. It was 3 out is five at best. The onion rings I got as my side were fantastic!!! Next was the fish and chips. The menu stated " half pound of cod in flaky IPA batter fried golden brown served with steak fries". If you look at other pics of this in their previous Yelp reviews - that seemed to be what they served. Instead I paid $19 for something from GFS or Trader Joe's. See my pic. Not great and thus the drop in stars. Net service GREAT! Food meh. Might stop in again if in the area for a drink because it seems like a good neighborhood bar.

It's a British pub. Hamilton Ohio has a British pub and it's cracking good! It's cheery and brand spanking new inside. Very clean. We came Saturday around 2PM and the food was so delicious, I stopped in again today for takeout (or takeaway as they say across the pond). So we've had occasion to try five menu items. The owner is Jim and he was around both days. Very welcoming to the customers and eager to please. I think he must be an expat Brit. Just one barmaid/server who was Alex, and she kept up pretty well with handling the tables too. All the tables have number signs and I think the true pub tradition is to go to the bar, tell your table number and order, and then they bring it, though this was not enforced. The kitchen staff brought the meals. And that food! hot, fresh made with obviously top quality ingredients. Herbed chicken was super flavorful and a very generous portion of meat. Bangers and Mash were exactly as they should be, a savory dish to which I added a dash of HP Sauce. Garlic mashed potatoes had just the right amount of garlic and a great consistency. Shepherd Stones almost like little meat pies, hearty and satisfying. The Reuben was incredibly delicious on the wonderful marble rye. And those fries....think of the best steak fries you ever had then kick it up a notch. The grand finale is of course the butter cake which melts in your mouth in an explosion of sweet flavor. Oh my Lord, it was out of this world. The bill shows you clearly the cash vs. credit price and I like that. There is a good amount of street parking and a parking lot, and ramp to a side entrance accessible to the physically challenged. That entrance takes you to a side room suitable for a large group. I love the look of the outside of this establishment too. It really is a stone tavern. They've got Guinness on tap along with several other selections and quite a variety of beer in the cooler too, including Harp and Red Stripe, plus a nice wine list. My husband had a glass of red that Jim recommended and he said it was great. And a nice pour too. They are open every day from 11 am. Highly recommended!

Stopped in here today for the first time and they did absolutely everything right. It appeared there was just one person working the bar and the tables surrounding the bar and that person was Jennifer. Jennifer did a great job waiting on us and everybody else and didn't appear to get rattled by anything. My friend ordered a beer and I ordered a cocktail and then we placed our order for food. We did sit at the bar. My friend ordered the fish and chips along with a salad and I ordered the Reuben Stones appetizer and a cup of the soup of the day which was a three cheese broccoli and chicken. Everything we ate was good and I would so get that soup again! We had another cocktail and then I ordered dessert which was a warm brown butter cake with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Jennifer also made me a fresh pot of coffee and I had a coffee with cream to go along with the dessert. I am going to say that was the best butter cake I have ever had. When we go back, and we're going back, I will definitely order dessert again. Don't wait y'all get out there and give this new place a try!

A great spot just across the river from downtown Cincy, we often start here before walking across the bridge for an event or game. True Irish pub with all your Irish favorites on tap and you can rent out the upstairs space for events. The food is delicious and the service is always amazing and super kind people. Can't recommend Mollys enough if you are looking for a great place to hangout with friends and watch a game or two.

My family and I arrived in Covington around 9pm and dining options are slim to none in the nearby…read morearea after 9:30, so we chose Molly Malone's because it was open late and we wouldn't be holding anyone up. We got there at around 9:10 and were first offered a seat inside but it was so loud in there the hostess couldn't hear what we were saying and vice versa, so we got a spot on the patio. Our sever was very nice, but service was VERY slow for a Sunday night. She told us they were busy the night before because of a conference and they were still in town that day, so the bar inside was busy. After ordering our drinks it took about 15 minutes to get them, and she didn't even take our food order when she came back despite us being ready. We waited, no problem. We ordered a 'Spice Bag' and it was decent but took about 25 minutes to get to us despite being potatoes and onions in a bag. For 40 minutes we waited for our food and when it came out it was terrible. I ordered the Fish and Chips and Caesar Salad to share and both were mediocre at best and inedible at worst. If you come here: DO NOT GET THE FISH AND CHIPS. They were battered nicely, but aside from that the fish didn't feel fully cooked and tasted like nothing, with a hint of dirty water. The tartar sauce seemed homemade, but didn't have any flavour. The coleslaw was boring and watery, with no flavour. Our server never checked up on us during the meal, so I never got the chance to ask for something else, so I was just stuck with the fries it came with. I know what good fish and chips should taste like and it's not that. Others ordered the curry and the wings and seemed to enjoy it, which is nice. However, 30 minutes after placing our order we were told that the kitchen "ran out of rice" and they asked us what we would like to replace it. When the curry came out, it was missing the naan but again, server never came to check on us so we didn't notice until the end of our meal. Overall, it's a cute place that feels Irish, but service is slow and food is terrible. Our server was lovely and it wasn't her fault that she was busy with tables, but management should be doing more when they know there's a conference in town to set their servers up for success.
