    Fettuccine Bolognese

Food was so good we came back a second night in a row. The mussels were the best we ever had. The fettuccine bolognese was excellent. The lemon tiramisu was amazing. They even have air conditioning. The staff was very attentive. We will be back again on our next visit.

Left dish - cannelloni, right dish - spaghetti

So yummy! Such a good find amidst all of the overly priced tourist restaurants on this street. Food was delicious - we had the cannelloni and the spaghetti bolognese. I'd recommend either options. Lastly we finished our meal with a homemade tiramisu, one of the best we have tried on our trip!

I admit to stoping at a tourist trap restaurant, so I shouldn't judge them too harshly, but the waiter was rude and the pizza was subpar. The sausage was undercooked and had a sour taste. They have a nice menu of other Italian fare, but I'm evaluating on this experience alone.

Food was amazing! Grilled chicken and the Nonna special pasta with capers and mint... One of the best meals in Italy so far!

You can tell that every item is hand selected from the olive oil on the table to the house wine selections. Nothing is unintentional & everything is chosen to enhance the menu. The family that runs the restaurant made us feel at home, the portions were generous, the service was so personal & the homemade limoncello was a divine way to end a spectacular meal. The baby squid on pumpkin puree was the best squid preparation I have ever had, the salads were excellent, the pastas were perfection, the fish was so fresh & the preparation with tomatoes & potato was delightful. My daughter had a "complaint" in that she wanted to see the fish head of our flounder... I told her that they cleaned the fish for us, but somehow, the papa heard her in a way that only a papa would & appeared with the fish head on a plate for her to see... she couldn't get over it! It's a smaller menu with each item perfected. I'll be dreaming of returning as I can't imagine coming back to Amalfi without dining here again!

We did manage to throttle back and not eat all of it lol, as we wanted to still enjoy our starter and pizza. The oils provided were the perfect compliment for the bread, the salad (and the crust of the pizza). Salad was fresh and light. Pizza rolled out next and we still believe this to be the best pizza we ever had. Not heavy, but filling. The flavors were so rich and bright. Of course I had to have a local beer which paired well. The seating was outside, which was covered in an ivy like feel. It was lemon trees providing adequate sun coverage and of course looked beautiful. We would highly recommend checking out Donna Stella if you're in Amalfi.

It is kind of hidden away and looks almost like you are entering someone's property. There was a wait but they seemed to remember faces and I did get seated after about 30 minutes, though they did seem pretty busy for a Sunday night. I ordered the lemon ravioli since I had been eating a lot of pizza and read that people enjoyed it. In my opinion, the lemon ravioli didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, it seemed a little bland and didn't really taste like there was much lemon flavor and the quantity was a little small. Cooked well though. I think I would come back again but order the pizza instead. They did have a longer wait if you didn't make a reservation. Their lemon tiramisu (8€) was definitely worth it. Very creamy and not too sweet and had more of that lemon flavor that I was looking for. I wish I had come in a group, so they I could have tried more things, but no worries that can be next time.

We started with an amuse-bouche (compliments of the chef), which was a parmesan cracker with ricotta. We shared two appetizers among the four of us - a tuna carpaccio in citrus fruit and poached eggs with black truffle. The poached egg came in a sauce that was totally delicious and mop-able with bread. The tuna was fantastic and very light. For the main, our table split the pasta stuffed with burrata and black truffle and the risotto with red shrimp in lemon sauce. Absolutely incredible! The risotto was soooo refreshing and light and cooked perfectly. The truffle pasta was full umami flavor and a flavor party. We ended with delicious desserts, my husband got the hazelnut coffee which he loved and I got a lemon assortment. This had a lemon cream brulee sort of preparation which I loved. The wines here were also fantastic and the service prompt and great!

They don't have anything marked GF on their menu but the server walked me through what I could have. My friend and I started with the La Caprese and they provided me with a GF baguette. For my entree I had the zucchini GF pasta. The pasta was good but the sauce was a bit overwhelming. It wasn't my favorite. My friend ordered the La Genovese with GF pasta and it was really enjoyable. They only had 1 GF dessert so we opted to get the lemon sorbet. They also brought out a few GF candies as well. Overall the service and views were really nice but I wasn't a fan of my entree.

For my courses, I had the omelette with broccoli, pumpkin GF pasta, buffalo cheese with tomato under lemon leaves, a palate cleanser of strawberry ice cream, and chocolate mousse. We even got to try their Michelin best dessert of 2026 which was the lemon soufflé. It was decadent and delicious. We even had a tour of the kitchen to see the artwork on the ceiling. Overall our experience was cozy and sophisticated with its lemon infused dishes. Would highly recommend!
