They sell mattresses and furniture here but don't expect to see any fantastic outlet prices on them. The discounted priced items here are a roll of the dice when you come in. They are mostly glass wares and kitchen items and such. Good quality stuff. Just looks like left overs from the Holidays that weren't good sellers. Some of this stuff can still be found at their regular store locations.

It's a no frills retail environment selling overstock from the Boscov's store. The inventory changes with what they have in stock and the day of our visit most of the items were household related. Everything was new and didn't appear to be "seconds or returns". I didn't see any clothing. My friend said they have good deals on appliances and had bought some in the past. I would say the prices were comparable to a Big Lots. The day we visited they had odds and ends furniture pieces reminiscent of a Rent a Center in design and quality. They were all very affordable. If you're furnishing your first apartment or looking for occasional furniture pieces on the cheap this is where you should go. I would however question their return and warranty policies as I'm not familiar with them. While it wasn't necessarily a hit for me the day we visited, if I lived in the area I would check them out from time to time.

My experience was a perfect example of pure salesperson gimmicks. He never even showed us any beds that were in our price range. So my fiancee and I left, and Howard CAME OUT TO OUR CAR to try to convince us to come back inside. He said he had his manager on the phone on hold and he was trying to negotiate a better price. When we walked back into the store, he picked up the phone and pretended to talk to someone, then he knocked the price down by like $50, but it was still $400 OVER the budget that we told him multiple times. Howard wasn't even knowledgeable about the products. He said all he does is sell them, but he had a machine that printed out a list of beds for him to show us. Then he couldn't even answer the questions we had about the beds. My fiancee and I went to the Lancaster location the next day and ended up getting a Serta name-brand bed for literally half the price of what Howard tried to charge us for a lesser quality mattress.

She assures us they are universal. Wait a week for it to be shipped comes they are not universal. The guy waiting on us states the person who waited on us first the week before is new, and they haven't sold that bed (the one my husband showed the last lady, in there store) in 5 years. He was unable to exchange it without calling what I assume is a corporate number. After 15 or so minutes he states thar we would get the right bracket in about a week as well as a small refund of $9. When asked when I can expect to see the refund he told me that would take about a week as well. Guess who will never deal with this store again. ‍

My only quibble is that the type of stickers they use really take some doing to come off of books, and often leave a mark. Otherwise, the deals are not as apparent as you're led to believe. A bit like the Costco model: a few big deals to bring you in, and everything else is regular-priced or higher. Don't get suckered...find your deal and get going.

I asked if I could use a restroom because I am older and disabled. They said no, go to McDonald's! I said I hope I don't have an accident on the floor. Then the "Sales Supervisor" said that would be assault! How is having an accident? I was threatened to be thrown out of the store and was harassed by employees following me around.
