ORIGINAL I have been very happy with the service and patience of Valley Oxygen, and Janice in particular who is the rep I work with. I was assigned Pacific Pulminary for my nebulizer and they were really bad, so I have something to compare. When I got a CPAP machine last month, Janice showed me how to use it, and took more than a few follow up calls (immediately BTW). She also helped me find and fit a better mask after the first one didn't work out. She was more helpful than the doctor's office in terms of patience and explaining things in a way that was easy to understand. They even gave me the PG&E medical equipment discount form, ready to send in. The only drawback is that I had to drive to their office in Santa Rosa, while some companies deliver because I'm in West County.

While I can see it's allure from a price point, not sure of the quality of the products as it is not a CVS, Rite AID, etc. so you are putting your trust in a small unknown store. I leave that decision up to you, while the drugs purchased seemed to work, just not sure of quality. Middle of the road review for sure.

From the start, beyond the long times waiting in queue, everyone was inept. They would take the information and promise to handle and then drop the ball. When I attempted to escalate to a manager (alleged manager "Lilly") she took all the information, got a REPEAT prescription from my doctor and still did nothing. Then she dodged my phone calls. If I could give a negative rating it would be 10. Apria is a much better company.

Now I'm calling weekly to find out when the wheelchair is expected to arrive at their facility. And when you go there...I've been to their facility twice, it's like a ghost town. No receptionist. They never answer phone calls and the place certainly doesn't look busy. What's up? Unfortunately if you're disabled and you're on Medicare, this is the only game in town.

I had an issue where I was between insurances and my daughters chair malfunctioned. They repaired my daughters chair and I paid my bill. I was contacted a few days later by Western Rehab and was told that they found a way to do the repair for quite a bit less. They told me that they didn't cash my check yet and if I brought the chair back they could save me quite a bit of money. I did indeed bring the chair back and they repaired it for a substantial difference in price. They didn't even have to do that because we had already paid for the repair and figured it was a done deal. It was money we definitely didn't have to spend at the time.
