They also have a good selection of drinks (alcoholic, coffee, or juicy) Honestly the matcha drinks were interesting, a little too powdery for my taste. The interior is very clean and organized, perfect for both large and small parties. I particularly enjoyed how friendly, attentive, and caring the staff are to customers and to each other! Because this restaurant is located in an area strip of stores, it can get difficult to find parking. We decided last minute to pop in for dinner after 8pm on a Wednesday. It was a few tables busy and we were seated immediately by the waitress with a nice greeting from the bartender. They have a beautiful full bar but we were there for a late dinner with our kid. The waitress was perfectly attentive, informative and sweetest. We ordered the falafel appetizer to share. The special (salmon kebab) and their on menu chicken kebab was great. Our kid has their Rothschild's burger and couldn't be happier. We had to take some home as the portions are quite 'perfect'. Our first time to wander in and we will add it to our rotation. Glad we decided to skip ramen or sushi for this beautiful ambient restaurant with candles. We stopped at the Rothchild's after amazing day on the beach. This wad exactly what we dream on and it made our day to be even better. We had only been once during Covid and were disappointed to find that they were again charging full price for a coffee refill ($4.50). So we took a long break and this was our first time in three years. Three happy diners eating lamb chops perfectly cooked served with mashed potatoes. But where's a vegetable to fill and round out a real meal? This is not an upscale steak house, it's a local restaurant and should give great value at their high price point. Three asparagus spears or a few broccoli sprigs would make for a perfect plate. Syrian kebab (lamb/beef) was enjoyed by the 4th eater at our table. Wow, just wow. I went to Rothchilds for weekend brunch and I cannot say enough good things. Firstly, the staff is so attentive. They are probably the most hospitable restaurant staff I have seen in quite a long time. But, the food. AMAZING! They start you off with the most delicious crusty bread served hot out of the oven. Then the Shakshuka entree was so flavorful and incredible. Also, the Rothchild breakfast was so cool. It allowed you tu try all of their amazing dips. They have amazing coffee also! What can I say. Today is my mother's birthday and my husband and I wanted to take her to brunch. The first place we chose wasn't right, we could not find the second place and then we stumbled upon Rothchild's. What a find it is. Our waiter was Raihanul and he was nice, accommodating and all around pleasant. Everything we ate was delicious and fresh. Last evening I went to this establishment for dinner. I sat outside and for the most part it went fine. Food was good. At the time I was done eating my main course about 845pm I had not seen my server in 20 minutes. Prior to that she was out there every 7 or 8 minutes checking on me. I waited another 10 minutes and finally caught another employee's attention. She explained to me they had received a party of 20 inside. I told her that if they were ever going to present me with a bill and expected a gratuity that I only cared about the service I receive and wanted coffee. Unapologetic, rude, no offer of appreciation for leaving me hanging, nothing. Really when you think about it why does their large party make it ok to just ghost in an existing table? It is unacceptable and although I did leave an 18% tip I am annoyed as hell because this restaurant is not inexpensive and there is no valid excuse for a poor dining experience in an upscale place. read more

Great slot close by an office I go to in Manhasset. Nice spot is really clean, and the decor looks like fine dining for a coffee shop. Ordered a mocha, and cauliflower...not a good combo, but food first, a lirtle water and then the mocha is the approach for second half of day. I came here for lunch with my mom and all the food was very tasty! I ordered the Shakshuka skillet which was great, the eggs were cooked well and I enjoyed it a lot. The green tahini it came with was also very good. I ordered a matcha latte which took quite a while to come out, but once it did it was good. Overall my lunch was nice, the service was a bit slow but not too bad. I will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu that looked very good! read more

Six of us were there on Saturday night. There's street parking (good luck finding a spot). The bar is on the left, tables on the right, they were welcoming and helpful. For example, when they gave us only two specials menus, I asked for more, promised to return them, and they gave in. I ordered a special soup they called "orange," which was made up of sweet potato, butternut squash and something else that wasn't oranges. It was whipped, but heavy, looked orange colored, and was sweet. It was okay, but no better than garden variety butternut squash soup. For my entree, I decided upon two more appetizers: the grilled eggplant; and the polenta. Sadly, neither one was pleasing. The eggplant had been burnt on the grill and that burnt flavor permeated. The fact it was swimming in a green lake of herbed tahini didn't save it either. The polenta sounded like a great idea with the asparagus and mushroom topping, but the mushrooms were burnt and the polenta was way over salted - I couldn't stomach more than a few spoonfuls. Two others at our table complained about the food, but three of us were quite pleased with what they ordered, for example, the salmon entree and a mixed salad, for which they accomodated a romaine lettuce substitution for their offered "koleraba" (?). It was pricey too - $90 per couple, including tax and tip (no alcoholic beverages). read more

The food here is super authentic and is Railey in style. I had a baby chicken with french fries on the side and boy was it delicious! For dessert we had a chocolate cake and cappuccinos as well the flavors were great and the food seemed very fresh. I do want to point out that the owner himself was physically in the restaurant, I didn't think he's the manager but I overheard one of the owners call him "boss" Which made me respect this location very much since the owners physically working to make sure all of the clients are happy and enjoying as it should be! Solid brunch spot. We tried a few things for brunch and each choice was solid! We started off with their regular house coffee, which was great. I'm not a coffee snob but I do think I appreciate good black coffee and this place had their coffee down. Next, we had our house bread. I'm totally weak for good bread. The soft bread with their balsamic and olive oil reduction was divine. We ordered the shakshuka and the Rothchild breakfast for two people and it was a true feast. Stayed in the area for NYE and needed a NY day brunch nearby and thankfully this cute decor and high rated spot was nearby! They had a prefix brunch menu which included a entree and unlimited stumpton coffee--but needed a latte so just added it on. We got steak and eggs and a smoked salmon egg Bene--both made right and seasoned well, however the real star was the dips they brought out with your fresh bread! There was a humus with fried seasoned chick peas was pretty amazing combo! Cucumber salad was fresh, yogurt dip, olive tapenade delish! The server Elena was nice to talk to and one of the chef/owners Daniel asked us how we liked everything recalling considerate and caring! He explained how he made the fried chick peas which was so gooddddd. Anyways, reliable spot to get one of the Top brand -stumpton latte but come here to try their food especially the dips! We ordered dinner from Rothchild's the other night and it was SO good! The food came in about 20 minutes and really was packaged so nicely plus was piping hot. There was no delivery charge since it was over $50. Everything was fresh and delicious - we got the chicken kabob and chicken schnitzel platter plus the cauliflower app. Everything was great!! The rolls/olive oil they included plus the tahini cookies were such a nice touch and I'm now obsessed with those cookies. They also make the best cappucino. I came here for lunch and the atmosphere was very nice. My selection was a chicken Sharma salad which was so delicious. The mixuture of the arugula & mint as the base of the salad added a great surprise. Lovely cafe that opened up on the main road in Great Neck by the theater. The workers there are so polite and lovely, so as you can guess - service was fantastic. My friend and I sat at the bar on a Wednesday afternoon around 12:30pm because the place was packed! Maybe it's because it's becoming closer to summer, and the weather was beautiful, but wow was it busy on a weekday. I had to park a good 3 blocks away because there were no spaces nearby! My friend ordered the quinoa & lentil salad, and I had the salmon & tabouli salad. We both really enjoyed our respective (and each other's) salads. The tabouli salad doesn't have much greens, but instead the bulgur really fills you up! I couldn't finish it and I packed the rest home and added it to kale to make two more salads (pro tip? haha). The salmon was cooked perfectly with super crispy skin. So although it was a pricy salad, I got a lot out of it so I'm more than satisfied. I'm really delighted that a healthful, classy looking place opened in the area because I've been looking for a cafe that serves good salads / etc. all throughout Flushing/Bayside/Little Neck. Rothchild's is a little out of the way, but I feel I'll come back more often! read more

Great Neck seems to be going through a transformation of adding good restaurants in town. Came here for the first time on a Saturday morning for breakfast. I was one of the first customers, but the place filled up pretty fast. This is a bright and clean space with tables, booths and bar seating, suitable for families with kids, friends, and single persons to come and grab a bite to eat and a Stumptown coffee. Staff here is helpful and friendly. I know they are new, I can see they are trying hard. All in all, a good place where locals can gather. read more

I came here after one of the food bloggers I trust and follow came here and reviewed. So I decided to come and check out the new place in town. Atmosphere and decoration, 5 STARS! Food, 1 Star. The shakshuka was very bland. I was beyond surprised with this dish as it looked so good in pictures. I really wanted to like it so much but I could've made this dish so much better at home and I live down the block. I was very dissapointed with this dish so much that after 2 bites I was like I can't believe I paid for this. Then comes the poutine.... not a fan as well. Presentation was great but taste was not so great. I tasted the butter in this so much that it turned me off. I've eaten many cuisines and love trying new foods which is why I give my honest opinion. Just stopped by this spot with my family on a Sunday for some brunch. We dropped by around 11:30. I was hoping to to order something from the lunch Menu since I was in the mood for a nice burger. Lunch menu is not available till 12:00pm. I was a little disappointed at first, but in the end I'm glad I got to try something from the breakfast menu because everything was delicious. We ordered the Avocado toast and Breakfast for 2. Let me tell you the bread here is amazing! I think I can eat the bread here all day. The service was great as well.
