Escargo was great! Duck was delicious but skin was soft, not crisp. Very loud! Waiter was the worst we have ever encountered! We will NOT return.

Crabtree's has been on my list for years and we finally went for brunch. Arriving for our 12:30 reservation, the place was quiet, but more people came in after that. They have a prefix brunch menu which includes one brunch drink, one entree and a parfait for dessert. Definitely a good deal. They start you off with some muffins for the table which were quite tasty despite being burnt on the outside. Drinks were ok, nothing special. While the place is kid friendly, the brunch menu is not. They have some kids dishes like chicken fingers and pasta with butter. One of my nieces wanted eggs and they charged the full brunch price for it. My husband got the Chicken Tchopiolous which he quite enjoyed. Someone got the French toast which they said was just ok. I got the eggs Benedict, and while the eggs were poached perfect, it definitely wasn't the best I've had. It was served with a nice salad and crispy potatoes. The parfait was vanilla pudding with cookie crumbs and almonds it was enjoyable. The only thing though if you have a nut allergy you don't have an option bc the parfaits are premade so you can't get one without nuts. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Food was delicious, it's been great every time I go. Only feedback I would have is that the service was a bit slow especially for drinks but otherwise - fantastic!

Close to home spot here for many years. Chris, our waiter was so nice, checking on us frequently to make sure we have all we need, and if we needed to order more. Trout and duck were superb! The cosy corner, window spot was perfect. Pistachio tartufo was out of this world! We loved the rusty nail! We had a great time to start off one of many.

Hosted a family gathering of 11 people on 6/12/24 at Crabtree's as this is our "go to" place. We started with a few drinks at the bar and were delighted to find Luis(our favorite waiter)handling the pouring. His drinks and personality were just right. After an enjoyable time, we headed to our table. As requested, Luis, was also our server. We all shared apps penne vodka, baked clams and seafood salad. The vodka never disappoints. Next runner up was the seafood salad which was new to me. The dressing was light and fish was fresh. Everyone was happy with their mains. Zero complaints. We finished with various desserts: carrot cake, chocolate cake, cheesecake and tartufo. My only minor complaint/suggestion would be to step up on the cakes. I would pass on those and stick with tartufo. The delicious food makes up for the lackluster desserts. The food here is always good. What makes Crabtree's even better is the outstanding service. Luis is a superb waiter and makes you feel at home. The host/manager made sure everything was to our liking and couldn't do enough to make our visit wonderful. This is a must visit if you plan to celebrate with family and friends. Food 5 star Service 5 star Ambience 5 star

After passing this restaurant several times, I've decided to try it. The decor was nice with the large Christmas tree in the back and garland over the doorways was really pretty. We were seated immediately and our waiter was Michaelangelo, he was very personable, funny and attentive. We ordered oysters, baked clams, and the dishes pictured below. Everything was delicious, there are no bad dishes. We had beets on our plates which was a surprise but, we enjoyed them as well. I will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious dishes

I struggle to put into words exactly what I love about Crabtree's, but the words comfort and reliability always comes to mind that covers the attentive service, to the large, crowd pleasing menu. I believe its a place where you can bring most anyone and they will find something to enjoy. The decor is a bit of a throwback with mellow yellow walls, and wood trim and tables throughout. The outside dining area in the back is very pretty with trees and umbrellas making for an inviting space. Adding to the throwback vibe are references to the Little Rascals about the space (thus the Crabtree name) Since the pandemic so many restaurants admonish their patrons to "be grateful for the workers that showed up", which I am frankly sick of hearing. Dining out is supposed to be a pleasure, a small luxury and a bit of an escape - I believe Crabtree's does its best to make their customers feel that way. The waitstaff discuss specials, menu items and make small talk where you feel welcomed. Valet parking is even available, but I usually have no trouble finding a spot on my own. You're not going to find a trendy, groundbreaking menu rather it is a place to get a reliable piece of fish, delicious pastas, well made pork chops, lamb, steak or whatever cut of meat you might be in the mood to eat. Their apps are tasty - I enjoyed the baked blue point oysters that we shared and their salads are generous. They brought out our roasted walnut salad split evenly between the two of us. I find the entrees generous as well - my almond sliver crusted striped bass came on a bed of couscous, a large mound of fresh vegetables and nicely tender beets. The Shrimps a la Rodos came similar, but with flavorful rice in place of couscous. Crabtree's is place that has remained consistent over so many years, which is something I value more and more these days. Judging by the packed restaurant on a recent Friday night I am not alone in my opinion.

Classy restaurant with a great ambiance, the few places it fell short though? Outdated old timey hotel interior, price, and somewhat bland and boring food. Came here out of curiosity after seeing all the rave reviews about this place. Wasn't too impressed with the dim lighting and the somewhat dingy looking interior, but was pleasantly surprised by it's cool backyard area, definitely the move on a nice summer night. Ordered the escargot, the octopus and the pork chops. Escargots tasted typical not bad, but nothing phenomenal, same can be said for the octopus. The pork chop dish was a little bland, the pork chop was at times dry and the fried risotto cake? Tasted like deep fried dried up rice. Though the ambiance and quality was there, the lack of flavor and creativity with the food didn't warrant the premium paid here

After visiting for brunch today, I'm excited to be able to update my review with a full five stars…read more- Swing the Teapot is officially one of my local favorites! I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

The teas were served in actual tea pots and cups. Food was pretty good overall, my daughter loved the pancakes, which has been the go-to order. Service is a hit or miss depending on the time of day. The first time we went was on early in the morning before noon so it was not busy. My husband ordered the Irish Breakfast, which was very comforting and filling. I ordered the fish and chips, which were pretty good. I took the leftovers home. The price for the dining experience was very reasonable. The most recent time we went was around lunch time and it was buzzing. We were lucky that we got seated but service definitely suffered this time around. For this dining experience we ordered the pancakes from the adult menu. My husband ordered the Shepherd's Pie and I had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. We took the leftover pancakes home as we devoured the Shepherd's Pie and Eggs Benedict. I'd definitely go back one day to experience dining with a live band.

I went with my mom and a group of her lifelong friends, and we were all looking for something a bit more elevated. At the moment, this is really the only non-casual dining option in the village, so we were determined to give it a try. After wandering around a bit (it's still a work in progress over there), we finally found the entrance. The welcome was a bit lukewarm, which I'll chalk up to a new team still working through growing pains. That said, once we got settled, we realized we essentially had the entire place to ourselves on a Thursday around 6p. We were told weekends pick up, especially with events at UBS Arena, which makes total sense. One standout moment was before we even arrived, someone on the staff had placed a handwritten birthday card at my seat. That was such a thoughtful, personal touch and immediately made me feel special. Service overall was solid, though not quite polished yet. You can tell they're still finding their rhythm. The kitchen, however, seemed to be in sync as our food came out promptly and without issue. The menu is actually great. Very approachable with something for everyone, from oysters to a classic burger. While everything was good, nothing quite wowed us. Ironically, the French fries stole the show, which can be both a compliment and a bit of a critique. Where Hundredfold really shines is the space itself. The interior is beautifully designed, upscale, sexy, and inviting. The open kitchen adds a great energy, and it was fun to watch the team working together. The bar area is elegant and feels like it could be perfect for both lively conversations and intimate evenings. There are also some stunning high captain's chairs, though we opted for a gorgeous banquette. Overall, there's a lot of potential here. The bones are strong, the concept is right, and the intention is clear. I'm giving it 4 stars on this visit (though I can easily see it reaching 4.5+ as it settles in). It's already a solid choice if you're heading to or from an event at UBS Arena, and as a Queens native, I'm genuinely excited to see something like this come into the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back next month and I'm looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
