Pro athletes that have gotten this surgery include Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmonds, Steven Stamkos, Shayne Gostisbhere, Brand Marchand, Rhys Hoskins, Kevin Hayes, Odell Beckham. Research what happened to them after they got surgery from Dr Meyers. I got core muscle surgery at Vincera 10 years ago after seeing Dr Meyers. He told me it would take 6-8 weeks to heal. I did everything they asked me to do but it was very clear they didn't care about me because I wasn't an influential athlete. My physical therapist was either still in training or had just finished. I also told them several times my legs weren't healing the way I thought they would but no one seemed to care. I was in so much pain the next 3 years it hurt to get out of my bed or out of my car. It is now 10 years later and I still have to do pt 3 days a week and dry needling once a week to be a fraction of the person I was before. The nonchalance and medical neglect of this entire staff has negatively impacted my entire life for what will be over a decade. Thanks for ruining my life.

I stopped therapy with the intention of going back when I felt better. I still have a problem. Five months after I started Vincera decided to send me a bill for $551.14. I was told from the beginning my insurance would cover the therapy, I paid the $40 co-pay for each visit. I thought this was normal. The extra $551.14 really makes me angry.

Keep in mind I'm older than the typical student that's seen here. So my progress was slower despite my best efforts as a busy professional. Because of my slow progress he essentially told me he wouldn't see me anymore. When he first told me I thought this must be an insurance issue, however I was able to clarify that wasn't the case. I am dumbfounded, I thought motivated people are welcome at PT to help fix their physical ailments? I am happy to talk to the GSPP team about my experience.

My meniscus tore again in 2016 and again I had a surgical repair. In 2018, my meniscus tore again for the third time. I consulted with the doctor who performed my original repair and he recommended I consult with Dr. Carey about the possibility of a meniscal transplant. My doctor removed more than 50% of my meniscus and discovered that I had already developed arthritis in my knee (at the age of 22). Within a few months I had surgery to transplant a cadaver meniscus and for the first time in 6 years, I have a perfectly functioning knee! My leg is stronger and better than it had felt in years and I owe it all to Dr. Carey, the extreeeeemely helpful Sabrina, and the rest of the staff. I highly recommend Dr. Carey!

While I read many positive reviews, unfortunately I cannot add to the positive reviews. Dr…read moreNazarian performed a knee reconstruction on my left knee in October of 2023. It has now been 11 months, and I am still not "back to normal". Still experiencing stiffness and pain. I also did months of P. T. but this did not seem to help. One of my biggest frustrations is that Dr. Nazarian did not schedule any follow up exams, except to remove the staples. The only time I saw him after the surgery was when I called for an appointment because there was an issue. First, I experienced bleeding from the incision. He addressed that issue. Next, I experienced an accumulation of fluid around the incision. A large "bubble" of fluid appeared below my knee cap. I called for an appointment and the doctor drained the fluid. When the pain persisted, I called for yet another appointment. After an exam, Dr. Nazarian said the pain was due to a "hip problem." I honestly got upset when he made that recommendation, but I followed through with the doctor that Dr. Nazarian recommended and who did an injection into my hip. That did absolutely nothing to alleviate the pain. I followed up with Dr. Nazarian again, and he then recommended a pain management doctor who would perform an "ablation of the sensory nerves around the knee." Of course, this is a totally "symptomatic" approach to my pain. Dr. Nazarian never once considered that there may be something wrong with the knee itself. Following Dr. Nazarian's advice, I had the ablation done. Of course, since the nerves were chemically destroyed, the pain was reduced by about 85%. But I am told, this is a temporary fix. It may last only 6 months or so, or perhaps a year. Never once did Dr Nazarian take any images of my knee, nor perform a complete exam of the knee to see if it was his handiwork that was causing my pain. What frustrates me the most, is that I was a regularly active person prior to my knee issues......I walked trails, I biked, I play racquetball, pickleball three times a week, worked out at a gym, and now simply walking around the supermarket is a challenge. If you ae considering knee replacement, do your due diligence, get several opinions. I hope you have a better outcome.
