I was really excited to try this place when I heard it was coming to the U of M campus and I really LIKE it! This place is a chain and pretty much a Chipotle/Subway style ordering for Mediterranean food. I like the variety and everything taste pretty fresh. This time I got the rice bowl with steak, several of the toppings and two different sauces. The dill, yogurt and cucumber sauce and spicy red s'hug sauce are delicious! I love spicy food and enjoyed the heat from the spicy red s'hug sauce. My only criticism is that the rice this time was a bit on the soggy side. The portion could be a but more but the price is pretty much comparable to places like Chipotle ($9-$12 each per bowl). Being on the U of M campus and right off the Greenlight, it's definitely convenience for students or if you work/traveling in the area. Parking is just metered parking (with limited time), so I suggest taking the GreenLine train or bus. read more

Pick what rice you want, what type of meat, and whatever fixings you'd like. From dill cucumber to hummus to red cabbage, there's plenty of options. Also many different sauce options! Ehhh. It's ok. Just ok. Not sure why it has such high stars. You can make your own plate, which is nice. I got the chicken with rice, hummus, greens, veggies, olives, cabbage, pickles...pretty much everything but the tomatoes and cucumbers. Good portions, but it doesn't really matter because I don't want to finish it. The sauces are good, but they only gave me 2 of the 3 I ordered. I dunno...food just does not taste that great. The chicken reminds me of those frozen chicken strips that come in a bag with the grill marks already on them. The pita bread reminded me of a bun. Great food for when you need a quick stop!! I love their falafel and their hummus!!! So good! I usually get their classic pita with falafel instead of chicken and it's awesome. Definitely the best chain Mediterranean restaurant, and it's priced fairly for what you get! Only problem I have is that it's very filling and heavy (at least the pita is) so if you're looking for something light, a different menu option is probably your best bet or maybe only eating half the pita. Decent food, but weird, stupid customer service situations. Example: some of the menu items are a lower price on the menu than what they charge you. When this is pointed out to them, they say "yeah, we're aware of that." But they charge you the higher price anyway. And they don't bother to fix it. Love this place and it's a great healthy option that is a great switch up from the traditional fast casual restaurants in Stadium Village. Can't wait to go back! I've been here three times so far and I keep going back whenever I want a fast and filling dinner! All the ingredients taste very fresh and they serve generous portions. I've gotten the Classic Pita, a build your own rice plate, and the signature sampler. Each of the three were really hard to finish, which was a plus because I had super yummy leftovers for lunch the next day. They also have a wide range of sauces for every type of taste-- cool dill cucumber and spicier sauces for a little bit of added flavor! The meats are also very good, but I'd reccommend the chicken roti. Under $10 for a filling, nutrient-rich plate (if you choose to make it that) with lots of great flavors. The staff is always very patient and friendly and willing to offer suggestions and answer questions, even when they are busy. The inside is also fairly clean which can be difficult during peak busy times. Parking around here is the biggest downside if you don't live within biking/moped/walking distance and you will likely find street parking a few blocks away. read more

First of all, the servers here were above and beyond friendly and kind. Wasn't expecting such generous service from a casual, build your own meal type establishment. Second point, allergens like gluten are listed right on the glass above every ingredient, and there's a complete allergen menu available online. This is absolutely amazing for someone like me with celiac disease. Food was also super fresh and tasty. I felt healthy and good while I was eating it. Perhaps the worst managed restaurant in the area. I waited a half hour with only 6 people ahead of me in line. The staff processed 8 online orders for every one person served in person. It's a nice quick bite stop. As far as food is concerned it's tasty. Definitely worth a stop. I got the rice plate with half/half different chickens. I feel on the expensive side for self serve simple dish but I guess that's campus rent digging into the prices. It's like chipotle style for Mediterranean style I guess. So why not 5 stars? Because I can get the same food elsewhere and be served so that place would get all the stars.
