Woke up to an unfortunate leak…read morecoming from a corner near my toilet in the bathroom next to my bedroom which left part of my carpet soaked. Spoke with a gentleman named Wade, extremely courteous, professional, and knowledgeable, and despite having a busy schedule, he showed up earlier than expected. He gave me a quote which was a lot cheaper than any other highly rated companies in the greater metropolitan area of Albuquerque and Los Lunas. I was advised my water would have to be shut off while the repairs were being performed. The estimated time was approximately 3-4 hours however, within 2 hours I was being called back to my house to visually check the repairs were completed. These guys work fast and they work accurately. I was advised if this happened in one bathroom it could possibly happen in my second bathroom and since the repair came out so good I went ahead and requested a quote for some preventative maintenance in the near future. If you want a no hassle company that works quickly and will charge what they feel is fair, then give these guys a call.

USE W CAUTION! Had a leak in my bathroom. Suspected it was behind the cabinet. Called Klaus and…read moreasked him to remove the back of the cabinet to expose the pipes. We noticed some mold and that was quickly removed. He came w two young guys and a dehumidifier (which he left on for the week). When I checked back w them after an hour, Klaus had DRILLED 3/4" HOLES ALL ALONG MY CABINET BOTTOM and in the sheetrock (12 total)!!! We NEVER discussed this! He actually did DAMAGE while I was not in the room! I asked him why he did this. He claimed that it was to "air it out" and that it was "easy to repair" by installing a wood strip over the holes! Wow, not what I wanted for sure. Two thing Klaus kept asking me the entire 2 hrs that he was at my house was 1.) is this going to be a homeowner insurance claim, and 2.) he wanted to REMOVE the cabinet, and even suggested coming at the leak from the OUTSIDE of the house! The literally cut through our exterior wall. Months went by as we tried to close the leak (which we did). In the meantime Klaus sends my a bill for $700! For what? Doing damage in 2hrs?! I told him to COMPLETE the job by repairing the damage he did and I would pay him. That was Summer, now it's Winter and Edelweiss has done 0. And the leak was in the floor.

They have done two big, complicated water damage / mold remediation jobs for me in the past decade, and I don't think any other company would have worked with me with the diligence and specificity that they have always maintained. I've utilized both their plumbing and AC repair services and they were both excellent. Dependable and timely service is why they will be on the top of my list of companies to call when I need help with AC and plumbing needs. I'm going to try their electrical services soon as well.

Three strikes...you are out…read more Earlier this year, TLC came out to reinstall 3 sinks after countertop installations in my kitchen and two baths. They quoted me approximately $165/hr. for labor on the phone. On the day of the work, two men showed up and said that since there were two of them it would now be $100 more per hour than originally quoted. The good news, they said, was that they would be done twice as fast. I didn't have much of a choice since I had no working sinks. It ended up taking them over 4 hours to complete the work, with one man just standing around watching the other. Naturally, I was outraged with both the last-minute change, the amount of time the job took, and the bill of $1200. To their credit, TLC did refund $300+. Around the same time, I had TLC come out to replace an electrical outlet in my kitchen. While looking in the electrical box, Robert told me that my box was out of code. My breakers were 25 years old and they should be replaced every 25 years. Foolishly, worrying about safety and fire potential, I agreed to have TLC update and upgrade my box to the tune of $4500. I did this without first doing my own due diligence. After the work was done, Robert and the electrician who actually performed the job apologized to me because they saw a broken panel in the box. Robert had not seen it prior to performing the upgrade. I was told this after the work was already completed without the panel being replaced. To fix that problem, it would require a lot of additional work to satisfy code requirements. The additional work was originally quoted at $9000, but eventually Robert came down to $7000. Go figure. Feeling that I had been misled by TLC, I asked Robert a couple of times for a written estimate that included the reason for and the scope of the additional work. Since, I had already paid $4500 + tax for a job that apparently now did not satisfy code requirements, I wanted to understand what and exactly where the damaged panel was located. It was not readily apparent to the naked eye. I was not about to authorize any more work without fully researching and understanding its necessity, and without consulting professional sources as to its veracity. What I eventually received from Robert was a text message with a brief description of work and an estimated price, however, it provided none of the detail I asked for. When I pressed for more information, I heard nothing more from Robert. Feeling compelled to pursue this matter, and knowing that my knowledge is extremely limited when it comes to electrical matters, I employed the assistance of a relative who has been a highly respected custom home builder in Santa Fe for almost 50 years. After inspecting my electrical box and the limited information provided by Robert, he was unable to find anything out of place that required attention. To substantiate that, he sent one of his trusted electricians out to completely survey the situation, and I was told the exact same thing by this electrical professional. In fact, I was also told that I never needed to do the original upgrade to replace the breakers because my electrical box was never out of code in the first place. Finally, in early August (2026), I needed to have an outdoor electrical outlet upgraded. TLC sent two electricians out to dig a trench and run a conduit from an existing working outlet to the outlet in question. They informed me that the possibility of injuring an irrigation line existed, but they would inform me if that happened. On week after the work was completed, I noticed that the area where the work was done was very wet. They had broken an irrigation line and never informed me. I had to hire an irrigation specialist to come out to replace the line. Truth be told, I would never have used TLC for that job if I had known what I know now about my electrical upgrade. A call to the company regarding this matter has gone unaddressed. I have made many mistakes by reusing and trusting the integrity and honesty of TLC. $4500 was a big price to pay to learn that you cannot always trust the professionals. It is my hope that this review will spare someone else that hard-learned lesson.
