This pizza place has almost every pizza place in the area beat. The only thing I would change is they have an extremely standard, cookie-cutter style menu with ingredients to match. Their dough is good but crazy boring. Their buffet is slightly sub-par but you can order anything you want to your table like CiCi's. And it is good. Very good actually. Was in Athens on business and stopped in for a quick lunch buffet. The parking is difficult to park as the spaces are small if you have a full size vehicle (I drive a Ford F-150), after parking I approached the front door to find six smokers all standing just outside the front door. There was no way around them without walking through the cloud of smoke. Upon entering, the lady behind the counter was friendly. The buffet was small but clean and the food was average but hot and well stocked. The pizza bar had 4 pizzas on the heaters so not much choice but not bad for the price. What I went through (and countless other customers) tonight is unacceptable! Nothing is open in this town on Sunday nights. Pizza sounded great and I knew Rounders was open. Generally like to support local places instead of chains. I had to walk in and order because there is no menu to be found online. This wasn't a big deal and I expected to have to wait. Ordered 2 salads and a medium garden pizza and was told it would be 30 mins... No big deal I had expected this. I sat there with 6 other people who had ordered. While I waited on my 30minutes to be up, I witnessed multiple examples of horrible customer service. 1)One man had called his order in, waited 30 minutes to pick it up, had to wait another 15 minutes when he got there, was given the wrong pizzas, had to come back, they took the pizzas back and gave them to the correct person and he was told to wait. He stood there for another 5-10 mins before he asked for his money back. After all of that the 2 girls at the front made him wait another 5 minutes while they answered the phones and took other orders. INSANE!!! The man waited over an hour! They never apologized. They hardly even talked to him. 2) this scene played out over and over, but we all sat there because we were starving. None of the employees acknowledged us. 95% of the time they hid in the back. I swear to god they were growing the veggies for my pizza. Maybe that's why i waited 57 minutes. One of the girls was talking on the phone about 2/3 of the time I was there while she worked on the food. 3) as I was leaving I wished the other customers luck. Some had ordered before me. Ridiculous! All the employees had to do was explain what was going on, give people a free drink or a cinnamon stick, or just apologize for having to wait. Treat your customers like humans! I don't care if you have the best pizza in America (which it most def. is not), if you treat your customers like this you will go out of business! In all honesty there is really no difference between this pizza and Pizza Hut. Next time ill order chain pizza. It would have been the same price and 40 minutes faster. I like to give my business to local businesses but I'm afraid you have lost a few customers! read more

I'm a pizza snob, and I'd go back here. Coming from NYC, where pizza is an art form, trust me. Not great. Not the best ever. But decent pizza with good cheese, good crust, and good toppings. You can get an all you can eat buffet, (not a fan of these) or order your own. Go for it. read more

I would have given this place a five star rating until now. It's amazing how service can make such a difference in an evening. The other staff members blamed two different mistakes on a "new" employee and the cook flat out messed up the second pizza with not paying attention to what was on the ticket. When it was brought to the attention of the staff that the first order was missing pepperoni, ham, and hamburger, the girl just stated "sorry" and walked off. The young boy that took the order was also made aware and he didn't look like he knew what to say. He just smiled a little and walked away. The second order was missing Jalapeño that was put on the ticket that the cook missed. There was ZERO service recovery. ZERO concern for the money spent and they shorted us toppings. And ZERO willingness to correct the situation or make up for the mistakes in any way. read more

Went in today for the first time and it was amazing and as a pizza fanatic it's incredibly rare for me to say that! We went in and order two medium pizzas. I was expecting to eat one or two slices but ending up almost finishing it all! The pizza is great! I highly recommended checking this place out. It has a mom and pop feel to it, friendly staff and a great feel of the Athens community. The walls are filled with vintage goodies and overall a great vibe while dining in! Most of all, the guy at the counter was incredibly helpful while helping us make some hard life pizza decisions. read more

This pizza has the BEST crust ever!! The salad was good too, it was nice crunchy and green. The crust is light, flaky, and crisp. The cinnamon sticks are so good and addicting. The buffet is from 11-2. I want to come eat here for lunch every single day! Also the atmosphere is cute, it has a lot of vintage Coke things. :) read more

This place is an Athens fixture! They're tried other stores in other cities and they've never really panned out but the Athens location will forever be successful. I've never found their pizzas to be anything to rave over but they are consistently good and the buffet can't be beat...when it's being served. read more

The crust was really good and light. They put pepperoni under and on top of the cheese. The sauce had a little zing, but wasn't spicy. The salad bar was good. The lettuce was crisp, but some of the sliced veg toppers had been out a little too long. The ranch sticks were cheesy goodness with oregano sprinkled on top and it was a big portion for the money. We came from Dallas to drop our kids off at the grandparents for the weekend and we're excited to go eat one of our old favorites. Lunch time, 12 o'clock, on the coldest day of the year so far. Their heater was broke and they were not telling guests and they had the fans on! The little girl up front was shocked that we would want them turned off? And there was no pizza. Literally, no pizza. There were 5 tables of between 2-5 guests each waiting for people on pizza. After 15 minutes 1 pizza came out and everyone stood up and formed a line to try to get a slice. Ridiculous. It's noon people, not a good business strategy. We left cold and hungry. We won't go back. read more

Really good pizza! I will say I love their pizza buffet which is only Monday through Friday. That way I can sample all their pizzas.

Food is great, salad bar is acceptable, it's always clean and full. Not a huge fan of buffet but my husband and I usually come in at night and dine in. The pizza is amazing and defiantly the best in town. Sometimes it takes a bit of a long time but it's worth the wait. They use the best quality products, cheese is great and our favorite pizza is the pride (a combination). Customer service is usually great especially when little dark brown headed girl is there. We caught her name last time but can't remember, it starts with a D. She's very sweet and jokes with us, she memorized our order and makes us feel very at home. The staff is nice and helpful. This was my first time trying this rounders (I've been to the one in Tyler). It wasn't the best. The salad bar tasted like they didn't wash the lettuce throughly when you could have clearly tell they tried to. The pizza me and my boyfriend had a lot of grease on it which is never good but the worst part was the lady working the register. She didn't really care about if she was going to look at us at any point in time. She gave us our total. Then, either the machine or the girl gave her a tip. I don't give tips to people who didn't actually waitress usually because they don't have to try and earn their living money. I work in at a restaurant and this would have gotten someone fired. I've also worked in a fast food place as well. I know a general idea of what she would probably make. Maybe it will be fixed in the next few days from the bank. I did like the building decor. Well, the service is still terrible. The food is fresh and they are getting better with the variety on the buffet, but the staff are clueless and from what I witnessed, very lazy. The only tables available were dirty and 7 employees were hanging out in the kitchen area doing nothing. No silverware. I let them know that someone needed to clean tables so that we could sit down and that they were out of silverware. I guess they were too lazy to wash regular forks so they just put out some plastic ones and I finally had to ask for a towel to clean my table. If they would hire hard working, service minded people instead of these cutesy high school girls with the short shorts, the service would improve. I still have never seen anyone managing the place. If the manager is not actively engaged in the business, the service will never improve. If poor service doesn't bother you, then this place is amazing. If you prefer service over quality, go somewhere else. read more
