Every town big or small needs a cozy and pleasant Italian experience. Roma Italian does exactly that and thank god cause i had a italian craving for a long while now. Megan was my server and were quite attentive and helpful with my generalized inquiries. If you show up often enough, they will get to know you as observed from presumed returning patrons. Making it a comfortable and familial environment. Started with the garlic bread which was used throughout the course, a tad basic but i am not complaining. It did its job. Next was the antipasto to kick off the dining experience. Good little starter, well the portion seemed dinner sized but that was just the lettuce. This antipasto is more standard salad than the other versions. Single Cabernet Sauvignon glass for the course but they have a fair amount of choice, whether red or white. Glass or bottle. The main dish being a classic spaghetti and meat sauce. The Italian craving was itched with this one. It had been a while and it had not disappoint. The cherry on top being a fairly portioned tiramisu with a chocolate drizzle. Unsure if they have coffee products but had it not eaten too much, it would've been a very good pairing to end. I will be back when i am back in the area. Ideal for a quiet, lax time either for a date, group outing and of course solo nights. I think there is some room for improvement but for more superficial yet positive things which i think could work if beed be. Excellent service and food! In Athens for a work trip and first recommendation from a local was this restaurant. The Tortellini Bolognese was some of the best I've ever had, the Caesar Salad was fresh and the dressing was excellent, and the cannoli's are to DIE for!! I could eat 10! Will definitely be returning. I was dining alone and the owner was incredibly friendly, stopped to chat with me multiple times, knew everyones name in the restaurant, and made me feel incredibly welcome. I live in the local area and I am so happy to eat at Roma one to two times per week. There are so many delicious foods on the menu, you would never be bored. I especially love their gluten-free pasta and gluten-free pizza crust. It definitely does not taste gluten-free, high-quality. They have beer and wine, and the desserts are delicious. Let's start with the rolls the were cold and tasted to be out of a microwave shortly to warm up so asked for some more just to see if the next batch came out hot and fresh not hard on top soft in the middle, the same disappointment. Ok I paid full price after I told my waitress it was very dry and watery soggy and the outsides were hard and middle was just really dry like microwaved pure nastiness for the chicken parm, she said it was an off day not hardly. My wife had the cheese and it was cheese and sauce I didn't see a lasagna noodle one but she gives it a 0, one of my boys said the spaghetti was ok but the sauce was watery and the meatballs were too small and I agreed for 9 dollars, my little one said he liked the pizza. But I paid for my food 65 dollars worth but I took my food and gave it to the trash can, my son tried it and didn't like it and to be honest usually I'll eat most of something even when it's not the best but this was very bad and I couldn't stomach it. I did figure when the waitress seen me struggling to eat this dish and after I told her they would have taken the plate and took it off the bill but that wasn't even on the table. Don't get me wrong the waitress was very nice, but that does not make up for the food. I love tea but also the tea had a bad off night. I can not bring myself to come back to this place. Sorry if you're a local and love this place but this was my experience and thoughts. For this experience I give this place a 1 o the scale I can't give zer0. Nothing here was top notch but the food and service was well enough. Especially after a day of traveling. The fried ravioli was decent. The marinara sauce that came with it was pretty good. Presentation lacked a bit. The chicken tortellini ala vodka was tasty. The vodka sauce was pretty spot on. My server was pleasant enough and had good recommendations. Decor and atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice. Prices were not bad either, they were about on par for a little one off Italian restaurant. $30 for lasagna and eggplant Parmesan. Had to ask for bread, then butter for it. Never was asked for refills on ice tea. Portions size was fair. Dinners at $13 & $14 don't come with a salad? Food is no where near as good as with the previous owner/founder who sold and retired. We have been eating her 5-7 times a year since the old location. No liquor or wine but they have applied. It might get better but who knows. There is a ton of room for improvement. It was a wasted meal out and I'm not sure I'll give them another shot. Unsure why when you buy a successful restaurant you would overhaul the successful formula. Just makes no sense. read more

There are very few restaurants where they understand that not only amazing food but service is 90% of business. Owners Dino and his brother the chef of other restaurants in Dallas and other countries, and states for almost 24 years, take amazing care and appreciation of his customers from the time you come in the door! His weight staff are very helpful and nice making you feel like you're home. He plays wonderful music to make you feel like you're in a little Italy somewhere in another country. We have been eating at this restaurant on and off for many years. The food has always been very good whether it's pizza or more traditional Italian. The restaurant has a new owner, and they appear to be slowly making some updates to the interior which we think would go a long way to bringing up my rating. I am sensitive to the fact that it's difficult getting help in the food business lately, but we have had really good wait staff, and some that are downright grumpy. Because they are short staffed? Possibly, but we all know your attitude goes a long way in establishing your altitude! The new owner is super friendly (as compared to the previous ownership), so I have high hopes! Atmosphere is nice. Waitress was nice. The issue I have is that I have reflux so red sauces and I don't get along. I asked for a lighter sauce on my chicken parm and was charged a fee for it. My wife wanted penne instead of spaghetti with her meal and there was an up charge to change the type of pasta. Never in my life have I had to pay for a different sauce or a different type of pasta. I guess I was spoiled by the great Italian restaurants in other parts of the state/country. read more
