Just okay. I'll start with the good, the tika masala pizza was good. It was an interesting blend of flavor and texture and I was pleased with the fusion of cuisines. However, I was told the pizza would take 20-25 minutes and I waited for 43. I stopped here on my way to a business meeting in Dallas and didn't expect to wait almost an hour for my food. For this reason, I wouldn't come back. I wasn't even able to eat the food because it took so long and I had to immediately get in the car and drive. I also saw the gentleman who took my order (and made my food) cough into his fist - which set a bad tone for my experience and how safe their food handling is. Walking into the location I immediately took note that it was definitely a hole in the wall kind of restaurant. One guy works behind a counter, there are only a few tables and a wall-counter to sit at. Knowing this, I was binging on the food being great - and I sure was right. They have something called "gulag" there, and tbh why just taste like cold, stale donuts HOWEVER everything else there is amazing. I really recommend the goat biryani or the chicken palak (included in pictures). The palak is the one with the green tint. They are both amazing, and me and my husband (who's never been a fan of Indian food, but loves this place) drive 45 minutes just to go eat there. My sister and I got the chicken masala with rice on the side. The service is amazing- if you have any questions the cook will clue you in on what's best. DELICIOUS!!! Definitely classified as a "hole-in-the-wall" place., and what a surprise for small-town Corsicana! Passing through on our way to Dallas, about 1 pm on a Friday afternoon, not very busy. Small restaurant, right next to a gas station (not inside, but next door). Lots of options to choose from, and they even have burgers and Indian-style pizza! We ordered the garlic naan and roti, and chicken korma and butter chicken. More than enough for 2- we probably could have shared one entree. There is only 1 guy, the owner, working the entire operation. He has been in this location for 3 years. He comes from Northern India, so the cuisine is spicier than the mild Indian food from the South. Be warned! I had the Butter Chicken with rice and a Masala tea ($16 total). Everything was delicious, very hot temperature food, and a 9 on my 10 scale of spiciness (but I am a spice wimp). WINNERS: *Green Chutney - unlike many Indian restaurant in the US, this version of chutney was chunkier with flecks of chili seed, onion, and a more toned down hue of green than some. It was a flavor I'm not as familiar with but had me dipping my finger in to absorb every last drop! It was sweet, zesty, and tangy all at once! On our first visit, we wished we had asked for extra it was so tasty! My partner commented that it reminded him of the green chutneys found in Indian restaurants in India. *Aloo Samosas - very nicely and thoroughly seasoned and generously filled - these could be enjoyed without any chutney - but with chutney THIS GOOD we didn't pass up the opportunity to spoon it over the samosa - enhancing its flavor even more! *Chicken Tikka Kebob - brightly colored, not dry, accompanied by ample sautéed onions and bell peppers, packaged in a styrofoam box lined with foil. This dish was easily shared between two people as an entree (with rice) after each having a samosa and shared a paratha. *Chicken Indian Pizza - colorful presentation, spectacular flavor, great mix of typical pizza and Indian flavors, great crust which was not too thick or thin, crispy or soft. Well-distributed ingredients! The fresh cilantro and spring onion added at the end really set this pizza apart in a big way!! It's a tiny little stand alone building next to a gas station- it doesn't look like much and the area isn't the best but wow delicious flavorful food!! I would recommend calling ahead because it's a one man restaurant- he takes the orders and makes all of the food from scratch so it takes time. We were just driving through so it definitely would have been good if we had called ahead. What's amazing also about this place is the menu selection- they have primarily Indian food but also have pizza ! So our kids were so excited because they could get a pepperoni pizza and then mommy and daddy could get Indian food. My husband is skeptical of our Indian place at home now because it's usually too spicy for him. However here he cooked it perfectly for him!! It was flavorful but not spicy because we requested not spicy. We tried the butter chicken and then a lentil veggie one that I can't remember the name. We ordered the lentil one from the owners recommendation and it was great! Never had that dish before but it was so good. The pizza was huge!! Lots of good food for a good price! This was our 1st time here. We read the reviews and couldn't believe how over-the-top positive they were, so we wanted to try it for ourselves. We ordered the chicken & goat curry. Pros: Both the goat and chicken curry were delicious, but very spicy. Cons: The bathroom was beyond disgusting!! The chef stepped out to get something from the convenient store next door and upon his return he went directly to the kitchen to start cooking without washing his hands. I personally witnessed him handling food with dirty hands. Bottom line, food belly gets an A for great tasting food and an F for the sanitary conditions of the bathroom and chef.
