I did a search online for a place that could repair my snow-blower. I called a couple of places and…read moregot quotes based on what I felt was wrong with it (worn auger belt). Both places estimated repair costs at $250-350 to change out the auger belt which included pick-up on the snow-blower. They estimated it would take at least a few days. Then I call Leroy's. The manager, Rick asked me to send him an email with my address and a picture of the sticker with model number. He responds that they can pick it up the next day (Tues) and that I'd have it back by Wed. They come get it Tues at 9am....and have it back to me by 12:30 the same afternoon. They also adjusted one of the brake releases for me too. Total bill was only $148 with door-to-door service. I'll recommend these guys to anybody who needs work on their snowblowers or lawn equipment. Absolutely fantastic service at a great price!

I took a chance and stopped in to Greg's for a second opinion. He shook my hand and said he'd have a look. He did look and said yep .. damaged the scrapper bar and the paddles but he could fix it. I called Greg's about repairing a broken front-wheel drive cable on a Toro Recycler. I was told over the phone it could be repaired and that it was a simple fix. When I got the mower back nearly three weeks later, I was hit with a bill for $310 and change, more than half the cost of a new mower, same make and model. The bill included several miscellaneous charges that I never authorized. Nor was I ever contacted about whether I wanted those additional services performed. The additional charges: oil change, new spark plug, air filter, blade sharpening, and new wheels. When I take my car into be serviced for one problem and the mechanic finds an additional problem, I am contacted and asked whether I want the additional work performed, and I get a cost estimate. No assumptions are made about what I am willing to pay for. In this case, if I had known the total cost of the repairs to be done, I would've declined having them done and looked into a new mower. Granted, Greg's did reduce the bill by $50 after I expressed my displeasure with their lack of professionalism, but the repair costs are still slightly more than half the price of a new mower. When using Greg's be sure to get a cost estimate up front and spell out the work to be done.

I took a 1985 GL1200A Aspencade to ejr that had carburetor problems had to run it with 1/4 choke…read moreand it ran fine on 1/4 choke but you should not have to run ANY choke a minute or so after starting. I gave them air cut off valves and he said we'll see what it needs beyond that, problem was he let KIDS work on the bike all they did was clean the outside of the carburetors and put new fuel lines on and lost numerous screws ,left fasteners hanging loose called me and said it's done. I got there started it and it ran VERU rough Eric I think is his name said you just need to ride it and it will clear up and run fine I put a couple hundred miles on it and it still ran extremely poor. I took it back to him and he said I'll look at it and calls me saying it needs new carburetors and that he has another bike same year and model sold me the carburetors and intake system puts it on mine and it didn't fix ANYTHING in reality it got worse than before , so bad I couldn't ride it. It backfired sputtered popped. First time in that dump it cost $600.00 second time in the dump it cost another $400.00. In retrospect it was fine before letting EJR TECHNOLOGY'S screw it up. Fast foward a few years I ran across CLASSIC SUPER BIKES in Barrington illinois a young guy working from home found him on Facebook. He came out from Barrington and got the bike and looked it over determined it needed carburetors rebuilt got QUALITY rebuild kits took all 4 carburetors apart and said EJR did absolutely nothing except clean the exterior of the carburetors they didn't rebuild them and the air cut off value looked like it shattered it was so dried up Classic Super Bikes stayed in constant contact throughout the job updating me on everything This guy MARK knows what's going on and how to repair the issue. Classic Super Bikes called me and said it's done you didn't need new carburetors just a complete rebuild. I'm happy with the bike now. THIS THING SCREEMS NOW. High Scool kids should not work on anything as complicated as the GL1200A ASPENCADE. LESSON LEARNED AVOID EJR INCOMPETENCE.
