    Smokey the beer

What a neat little brewery to visit right off of RT 66, if you go you'll definitely have to try the Smokey the beer and their red ale. Great service, good beer. I'd highly recommend this place

A small brewery with a Route 66 theme so as cool as you can her around here. It has quite a few beers on tap for not having that much room. Route 66 Old School is a pretty new brewery and the only one in town it seems. Get some pretzels o munch on. The prices are pretty good and not a ripoff like some other places. I tried a couple beers. Many are pretty smooth and not extremely hoppy. That's a good thing because too hoppy is hard to drink it. Lots of funny names for beers. They have one called Enter Pigman. It's $6 for a pint. This is a New England hazy IPA that has a citrusy and juicy taste. Also they have pretzels to snack on while imbibing. It's $6 for a bag so fuck it. There's a few restaurants you can bring food from in here so that's a better option. Good beer. It has quite a lot for a small place like this. The restaurants around this also deliver here to you as well.

When we were enjoying our staycation in Illinois, we headed out to do some fishing down in Braidwood. Of course, we always try and find a local watering hole, preferably a brewery if possible, and RT66 checked all the boxes! My Dad made the whole route 66 years ago, and it was great to be able to share our time here and reminisce about not only his trip but this road that truly watched our country grow and develop. As far as brews go, they were pretty tasty. We only had two but were pleased with our choices. My husband said his porter could have had a little more coffee punch but still a good flavored brew. There are tons of things to do, our 16 year old son definitely dug playing some old-school video games as well as killing us in shuffleboard. Tiki toss, golden tee, and even slots for over 21 if that is your jam. The coolest thing was the buy someone a beer tally board because they even included the trades! While my husband is a plumber, he didn't partake in one, but I love this, and teachers too! Pay it forward with a beer to some of the hardest working people out there! That truly is embracing the spirit of route 66!

Found this place to be delightful very much a small town vibe. The decor showed you the small town feel and American pride. Service was top notch and the crowd made you feel so Welcome definitely worth another trip down Route 66

Such a cute place! Had a flight and a pint. Prices were good & beer was awesome. So fun try local, different brews. Super clean & friendly atmosphere as well. Had a lot of fun with a friend for a girls night out here. My only regret is not leaving with a growler!

I thought this was a great place in Wilmington for a date night. They have some really good craft beers. We even ordered from Nelly's next door and ate it while we drank.

What a chill place! Lots of local options. No food but there's a place next-door! Lots of board games to enjoy with friends including adult Jenga!! Friendly staff give this place a really great vibe. All around good time! This place is a gem!

Emancipation is a brewery not a lot of people have heard of because it's not close to anything of course. Has a surprising amount of variety on tap and in cans to go. They may not have a whole lot but everything is full of flavor and quenches one's thirst. Even with it being a smaller brewery it still has quite a lot. It's got several of their own beers on tap along with a few others. There's also more cans in a refrigerator. Has the basics along with a few interesting ones. More than just the IPAs and the usual. It's about $7 a pint. The Farmer's Favorite is the IPA and is a pretty good medium one that's crisp and smooth. Has a few things to snack on here. It's about $3 for the Krack Mix. Basically like Chex Mix but it's made locally. They also will let you bring in stuff. Great place that's pretty hard to find the first time going here. It's located on N. 2500 East Rd. a few miles north of Fairbury surrounded by corn fields pretty much. They're closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

It's about $7 for a pint. That's not bad for a small craft brewery like this. Best one was the Baltic Porter. This had coffee and dark chocolate aromas, with fig and raisin notes, and it was quite strong. A heavy beer at 9.8% ABV. There's bar snacks like cashews at $4 a bag or like that. Come here if looking for a brewery that puts focus on beers and not games. If looking for a brewery where the main thing is beers, this is it. Tough to do with 10 people at a table. I ordered the Honey Glazed chicken. It was pretty good but the chicken had a few chewy spots. Flavor was great though. The glaze was sweet but not overpowering. 2nd night I ordered the Parmesan chicken. That chicken was great but o didn't care for the pasta it was served on. Flavor was good but just not my thing. Service was slow -- to non existent -- at best. We ordered two saganashkees that were bland, with little to no crust. The server said he has never served two at once before, so I guess we loose. I ordered the Poke. It too was bland and some of the tuna was hard!! Yes, hard!! The serving included a dollop of guacamole that had no business on the plate, in my opinion. Chunks of avocado, that I thought I was getting, fine, but not a traditional guacamole. Not good. Three of the four persons at our table ordered burgers and were all equally disappointing. It seemed like the burgers were diced up like it we to get used like in chili. But then, there tried to make a hamburger out of it!! Really weird. The taste was good, but unmanageable as a hamburger. One of the persons at our table ordered a shrimp appetizer. He said it was "ok". This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is quite comfortable and the beer is okay. But, that's all it has going for it. Our previous visit a few years ago was much more enjoyable. We see no reason to return.
