I love this place and all the staff. But waiting over an hour and a half. For food. And it does not come out. And seeing people complaining and leaving this need to change I feel so bad sor the servers and bar tenders they are taking all the heat. And it's not their fault. The food was so good!!!!. The only issue I had was with the time it took to get my food. There was only one table with customers and a few people at the bar. I had 4 hours of driving ahead of me and I planned on eating on the road so I could get home ASAP. It took 45 minutes to get my sandwich and onion rings. read more

The food (when it eventually came) was acceptable, the burger tasted great and was cooked to order. I asked for crispy fries, and they could have been better. The view of the Colorado River was nice. Server was 'distracted' at best. We came in around 1pm (after lunch) and it took a long time for the server to come and take our order, and almost an hour to bring the food. There were 5 other Customers in the cafe. Small staffing contributed to the problem. The cafe was clean, there were some flies inside, but considering the location, that didn't bother us greatly. My only suggestion is to place the Customer a bit higher on the priority list. read more

Last night we waited 2 hours for our order - one of our group got their food (good) but nobody else- had to leave and make sandwiches at home. This is the best place on the river for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I live about 300 miles away and go to the river often. I always eat here a few times a Weeknd while I'm at the river. The staff is great, food is amazing and it's easy to get to. read more

Service is terrible. Pizza is okay. We waited for water for 20 minutes. Server asked us if we wanted more water, then disappeared for 15 more minutes. Never got water. Say there thirsty for almost a half hour. We asked for our fruit and salad early... She told us it comes out when it comes out. After another 20 minutes we saw our waitress serve wings, fruit cups, and other things to another table that arrived 15 minutes after us. Good pizza, great environment, horrible service. Horrible service. Utterly. Yes, they made us pay for our whole meal. We didn't bring up anything or say a word. Just paid our bill and decided to never come back. It's sad for me. It's been one of my favorite spots on the river for many years. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long long time. read more

Overpriced food served in a diner that's seen better days. Prices are higher than the pics on Yelp. My $18 salad had a pile of shredded nondescript cheese, canned olives, and a pile of average lettuce. There were some decorative tomato and onion slices... as if the 1970s had returned to haunt my lunch. To be fair, the grilled buffalo chicken was fine - but basic. My boyfriend got a veggie burger - which was also fine - but the fries were lukewarm and tasted of old oil. Not worth the calories. The pizza at the next table looked pretty good. Maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff. Our server was helpful and friendly. Kudos and thank you for the pleasantries. But the gross bathrooms were right by the overflowing and dirty dishwashing station... JINKIES!! On the other hand, if you're on a diet, it's the perfect appetite suppressant. We drove here to specifically have breakfast...only to be told the place closed at 11:30 a.m. (Service is from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) So, I think the hours need to be changed here. Be sure call before you drive out. read more

It's so hard to find gluten free options in this town but we stumbled on this place and I'm so happy!!! The server was so sweet and the food was really good and priced very reasonably. We ordered apps and entrees with a few drinks. They do pour strong :) Will definitely go back. read more

I had been driving for three hours, was hot and hungry, and Needles was my half-way point. This little paradise was a surprise fun adventure. The community folks were very friendly as they gave me directions. Drive down the little street through the community and there is the Cafe that sits river side looking out over the cool flowing Colorado River. As I ate I watched folks on the water on their boats and sea doo jet skis zoom by. Friendly conversation with staff and great music made for a relaxing atmosphere. The food and drink was spot-on satisfying. I had a cocktail and the Hawaiian burger with fries and slaw. Shirley served me and told me where I could safely take a dip in the river dockside. This place just can't seem to improve...we've been in the area for 15 years and there was a point, about 7-8 years ago it was great. It was sold recently and we had really high hopes it would get back to being a great place to eat, view the river and enjoy but that is not the case. The service is really slow, mostly because the staff spends endless hours just taking and visiting with each other. Food has really gone down hill, especially the pizza and it's a pain with the dock parking as the park behind the restaurant uses the dock to tie up their own boats, even the spaces reserved for the restaurant. It use to be great to just pull up in our boat, eat and float down river but those days are gone. It's a real dive bar now with sad attempts to get entertainment and karaoke, when they really need to concentrate on service and edible food. Sad really. read more

Penny was our server and I cannot say enough how fun she was. We sat outside- super cute patio. This a very clean establishment. Spotless! The food was 5 stars! Chicken Philly, BLT, Coleslaw (homemade so dang crisp and good) and fried pickles....nomnomnom dirty martini, cheap beer & Arnold Palmer. You can boat up and dock or drive . Right off the 40. Oh my goodness. We were stranded for an hour while a family member was taking an extremely important call. They let us bring our dog in (granted, it was not busy at all) and were so kind and friendly. The service was fantastic. The waitress Cassanda is just an angel. Not to mention their food was great. Found this restaurant while out for a walk! Truly a hidden gem. Beautiful view of the colorado River while we ate. The fish and chips are excellent and I consider myself a bit of a fish and chip expert the staff was so friendly and the owner who unexpectedly had to bring her puppy to work, let us have her under our table while we ate. She was adorable and very well behaved. We were in a party of 4 and all ordered differently and everyone was pleased. Steady flow of locals picking up food to go.
