It's 1am in the morning, I go on Google and find a 24/7 hotline for tow trucks. They answered, I paid $250 straight away and they said it will be there in 30-40mins. After waiting OVER an hour I call them back and ask for an update with my tow truck and just then tell me that the tow truck broke down. After waiting longer than their expected time, they never called back to let me know. I'm extremely upset and exhausted. As I just start crying and canceled that service, I scroll through Yelp this time to search for a tow truck. First one I saw was Rex Towing. I call hoping I can get an answer and thankfully they did immediately. After getting my location and other information, they accept the job and even asked if I was "okay" since I'm pretty they could hear I was upset over the phone. Luckily, the driver was literally less than 10 mins away. Once he arrived and came out to greet me, he also reassured me and told me that "everything is gonna be alright". Franco was very kind and I was thankful that he was able to assist me.

He immediately diagnosed the issue and assured us it wasn't the alternator, as I had suspected. With it being a holiday weekend, only one shop was open, and Kevin recommended we tow it there. We were much farther up the mountain this time, and my signal was so spotty that my location was pinging miles away. Also, the cool part was, he bought his home boy aka his cousin or nephew (sorry it's been awhile) and was teaching him.. man I wish I had a cousin like Raul. Anyway, after 8 months, car is running like a new, so far so good with no big issue. But lately, being hot summer in Riverside, I do notice when I try to break with AC on full blast or when I try to turn the wheel while engine is in idle mode, car starts to shake which was not there before. I really could not say enough about Route 66 Towing. No only did the driver go over and above his responsibility. He was very kind and professional towards finding a solution. Situation: Our tire and rim came off our trailer on the 15 fwy. The tow truck driver went looking for it once we found out that the spare tire was the wrong size. Once the driver was unable to find the tire in the middle of the night he came back and we used my Truck tire to get us off the freeway. The reason we used the truck tire was because we were in an untowable location without causing more damage to the vehicle. As soon as I got of the freeway we were able to get it on the back of the flat bed and get safely to our location for the night. Showed up to accident scene on 210 freeway very quickly! Prob the shortest amount of time ive waited for a tow truck to be honest. Driver was very professional and went the extra mile helping out a senior citizen as much as possible. Our 5th wheel trailer wheel bearings burnt and caused the wheel to come right off the axle. Pretty scary situation. Thank God no one was hurt. We call several towing service providers and no one could assist. We got a lot of excuses. Finally, Route 66 Towing came to the rescue. Fairly priced I appreciated that he didn't take advantage of our situation (being stuck). I didn't get the truck drivers name but he was very professional, friendly and made sure that we were comfortable on our way home. He offered us wipes and he wore a mask. Trying to scam us for double the price. When I asked him for his name, he gave me a fake one, "Kevin." I knew this wasn't a real name because the initals on the receipt were "AH". We have hired Armando multiple times, and each time, he scammed us of money. He said there was a "5% zelle fee" one time and then upped it to a "10% zelle fee" the second time we asked. He also stated that the $400 extra would have to be negotiated with his "supervisor" because he "wasn't in charge" of the prices. And told us to contact the number we initially contacted him with -- implying that the person on the number 909-816-1167 was not him. Even though we called that exact number to ask him if he got the correct address and knew where our trailer would be towed. We spoke DIRECTLY to him with that number!!!! I would not continue to provide service to someone so greedy, that lies and takes advantage of young women. To think you'll be able to get away with something like this without being put on blast is incredibly insulting. We initially trusted him because he is actually knowledgable in what he does, but at the expense of his greed and dishonesty, I wish no one else to hire him for service.
