I…read morelive on the East Coast but became acquainted with Dynamix Strength and Fitness when I was visiting my sister in Omaha. I found the club to have a very welcoming atmosphere. It is clean and attractive with, mirrors, pictures on the wall, lighting effects, and toiletries for you to use in the restrooms. And everyone is very friendly. Most importantly, it has the best instructors of any club I have ever been to. During the early part of the pandemic when my own health club closed, I began taking barre, flow and yoga classes online through DynamiX, and I cannot say enough about how much more in shape I am today than when I started. The classes aren't easy. There were lots of things I couldn't do at first, and even now some moves are too hard for me, but I have kept at it - I still keep at it - and I amaze myself with how much I can improve. My sister takes different classes (body pump, body attack, body combat, and step), and she says she has wonderful instructors, too. If you live in Omaha, you can enjoy the social side of taking DynamiX classes in person, but I actually love attending online because I save so much travel time and am ready for the rest of my day as soon as class is over. Usually the instructor and sometimes a student or two chat with me before class, so I even get some socializing in. In fact, I never feel deprived of anything by exercising at home. On the contrary....

Although I rarely write reviews, I felt that DynamiX Strength and Fitness truly derserved my…read morerecognition, so here goes: I started taking virtual classes through DynamiX only four weeks ago, and in that short time my fitness level has noticeably improved. After trying different types of classes the first week, I then settled on a regular schedule of Flow with Kelly, Barre with Lindsay, and Body Pump with Bri. The instructors are tough and the classes demanding, but the more I work out, the easier it gets. I can already see definition in my arms and legs that I could not see before, I know I am stronger, and I feel healthier. I want to give special metnion to Kelly because every single time I take a flow class with her I am aware of something I can do that I could not do the time before. My balance gets better and better and I am much more flexible. What's more is that I come out of every class both relaxed and energized. Believe me, I would be a fool if I did not continue my exercise classes. I will continue, and I will write a follow-up review in a few months.

I've always struggled to find a fitness routine that stuck--especially as someone who's more introverted and a little shy, the idea of group fitness was intimidating. But from the very first class, I felt welcomed and supported. The instructors are incredibly encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The members are just as friendly, creating an uplifting and judgment-free atmosphere that makes it easy to keep showing up. Elevate has become so much more than just a workout--it's the best part of my day. Whether you're new to fitness or just looking for a positive community to move with, I can't recommend elevate enough.

The person that was helping check in people at the front desk was nice and helpful and explained where everything was on my first visit. I took a strength class with Sydney and it really enjoyed it. It was a great full body workout and I really enjoyed how they have heavier weight options so I could challenge myself. Sydny was also great about walking through form of each exercise which is a great reminder when you're in a rush or great information for people who might be able to lifting. The music was also great and the different colored lights set a fun vibe for the class. I will definitely be returning!

Went to Mick Doyle's for a free first class based off the recommendation of a current member…read more On the advice of an employee, the hubs and I took both the beginner and intermediate boxing classes. The beginner class was more of a warmup that focused on footwork and technique and the intermediate class moved into hitting and bag work. While the trainers and workout was fantastic, about 45 minutes of the two hours was taken up by the trainer talking (no movement during this time) and one-on-one work with the first trainer. The one-on-one time was great, however, if you were not working with the trainer you were just standing around. It seems this time would be more beneficial if people were paired up to continue training while waiting for their turn with the trainer. If you are looking for a workout, you may want to just attend the beginner class. If you are looking to become more efficient and trained in boxing, both classes are probably needed. The intermediate class (at least during our visit) is just a continuation of the first class and cannot stand on its own. While the extended time was a let down, as newbies we definitely needed the break. If we were to continue on, this would probably be an issue if all classes have this amount of down time. In June, 2022, when she was out of town, I stopped by HotWorx West Omaha (192nd & Pacific) since it was close to work. I was intrigued by the short classes as it had been a while since I had been to an exercise class. I started out with a cardio class (start every 15 minutes) and I was hooked. I always have loved the heat (am a huge fan of Bikram yoga), so to be able to exercise in a sauna was/is great for me. Now to inform my co worker. On her first day back, I had gone to a class over lunch, and when I came back, she noticed I had taken a shower and that my face was kind of red. Her question was... did you go work out, to which I responded - YEP!! She went the next day with me and we have been going ever since. She is more of an all cardio person, whereas I like to mix it up! It also helps that the studio has challenges which "make" us do certain classes in order to get points. Leanna, the manager, is so friendly and so helpful! I am so glad I stopped in to try it as now it has become a habit! Love it!!

I visited this fitness facility on a Saturday but waited until Monday to use my free pass. Once you…read moresign the waiver, you are ushered into a small room with equipment or mat space. I chose to go with the spin bikes. The staffers are not trained to answer questions regarding Exercise Science and go by a memorized script. The class is only 13 minutes long and I just assumed from Saturday's tour they were 30 minutes. There are no adequate spaces to hang up jackets per space, cubby boxes are not large enough to fit thick jackets. There are only 2 restrooms and no locker room space to change clothes. The video workout did not provide adequate instruction for various fitness levels or proper encouragement in my opinion. There was no warm up period when the bike ride instruction started. The first thing the video instructor wanted you to do was to place a large resistance on the bike, get up off the bike seat and start pedaling hard. When I asked the staff member about this, she repeated what was told to her that a warm up is unnecessary since the room is 130 degrees which is supposed to instantly warm up your muscles. I let her know that's not what happens when describing human physiology. The superficial blood vessels dilate, bringing blood to your skin and not to the gross skeletal muscles such as the glutes and quads that require this valuable blood to help ride up these hills. I think I caught her off-guard and she realized I wasn't going to sign up for a membership. Dry heat exercise can be helpful if you take special precautions such as warming up before your session. Static stretching is not a warm up. I would suggest going to the free weight area and performing lunges or body squats 5 minutes before your activity. Also, hyper hydrate with only cold water and drink cold water during your 13 minute session, regardless of what the staff members or video instructors tell you when to drink. I wish the video instructors would be certified by The American College of Sports Medicine which would greatly provide instant credibility especially when dealing with many clients of all fitness levels and any medical predisposition. Lastly, the video should always provide the opportunity to stop or slow down if experiencing specific symptoms during your activity.

I like how they're often burning incense before class. It really sets the mood. I've never had to use the showers but the areas of the locker room I have accessed is always tidy and neat. This is also the biggest locker room of the 3 I've been to, which is nice when everyone is getting their stuff at the same time. Both studios are a decent size. They can fill up but the instructors are good about encouraging staggering. I also like how the rooms and windows, so you don't feel fully closed off from the outside world. But don't worry! They have blinds so you don't feel like you're on display. While the parking has not been ideal with all the construction, they do their best alert us with changes. And now with that big garage across the street, it's been so much easier! All the instructors I've had are great and very inclusive to all, no matter your experience level, gender, age, etc.

Walking in I was honestly super intimidated -- the machines look terrifyingly confusing and everyone looks like they know what they are doing, so naturally I was shaking in my boots not knowing what to expect. However, upon walking in I was greeted with smiles and they took me to my machine to show me a few of the moves and how to operate it before it started. I had a little card with my name on it welcoming me, a sweat towel, and a free boxed water. I had to buy grippy socks at the front desk because I didn't have any (& didn't know I needed them) that were about $15. They had me placed next to a gal who was a pro at PLNK, and thank goodness they did otherwise I would have been absolutely lost. Once the clock starts, there is no stopping. The instructor is always super clear on giving step by step directions to follow so you can understand even if you've never done it before. There are mirrors all around the room, so worst case scenario you can just look at the reflection & see what others are doing and follow suit. Olivia was my instructor for the first PLNK class ever, and she crushed it (or me? Well.. both). The next morning my abs were so sore I couldn't sit up in bed.. literally. I was d e c e a s e d. I really like Pilate-type movements because it's more gentle on the joints, but I don't like the ease or pace of Pilates which is why I love PLNK so much. It is easy on the joints but also has resistance to grow and tone your muscles & get you in amazing shape in no time. This is the first group class I have ever genuinely enjoyed AND seen results from (I have tried many yall.. so that's a big statement for me). The instructors are sweet and the facility is spotless and clean. You will love your experience here!! Tanya and Olivia are definitely the hardest, I haven't been to all the instructors yet but Meghan is awesome for first timers! Your first class is free, try it out!!! TIPS : - they will probably put you next to someone who is well versed in PLNK so you can have a constant guide next to you. Feel free to ask them to do it as well if you're really concerned! - buy your grippy socks before on Amazon if you want to save a few bucks - watch a few YouTube videos on the megaformer before you take your first class to give you an idea of what you'll be doing - stretch prior to your class - don't be scared, you'll do great!!

I wish the instructor spent a little more time helping me. It was a bit overwhelming, but that may also be a normal reaction considering it was my first time. Class overall is very fast paced. It was a great workout, however. I wish the studio was still available through ClassPass because I do not see myself purchasing classes separately through them.
