It is one thing for an apartment to feel like a home, it's another for it to feel like family. The environment at Rowlett Station makes it the best "neighborhood" I have ever lived in. I know my neighbors more now than I did growing up on the same street. The office staff is small but mighty. Wanna go where everyone knows your name? Come to Rowlett Station, and they will get to know your pet's name too. The same goes for the maintenance team and cleaning crew. They go above and beyond to make the common areas sparking and the apartments maintained quickly. We have a strong community of pet parents that enjoy the two dog parks, the amenities are superb, and the fixtures and appliances inside the apartments are top-notch. Where do I start with this place: 1 First of all, there are some very rude and threatening neighbors in the building. They will watch you as you walk your dog. The hallways always smell like pee, and the safety signs are always falling. One time an exit sign, fell on my head, and I reported to them, and they didn't even acknowledge it. 2. There's no parking. You have to register to park in the street. If you come home late, you have to walk really far home, and lately there have been a lot of activity of homeless individuals and some sketchy people around. My neighbor even told me someone tried getting into his apartment. Every time I would come home, I would run really fast and scared. 3. I had an item stolen from my home and I reported it to police and management. I sent 3 emails and more than 3 calls to the office and nobody responded. The only people with access was maintenance to fix a maintenance request I had. When I met with the manager she stated that she didn't read the emails and nobody informed her. I also asked her to inform the community, so they could know and be on alert, and she said that she couldn't do that. This item posed a great safety risk to however stole it and that left me baffled. There's also a police report and nobody knew or cared to look. 4. After moving out, I received a statement so outrageous that I emailed them countless times to revise it. From a new water filter for the fridge for the new resident to use, to water usage per unit, even though, I was no longer physically living in the home. They bill per unit and not usage, so that's important to keep in mind. You're paying for someone else's usage. 5. I also got charged for trash and other items that were unlawful and nowhere in the lease, including the trash, which I paid as valet trash and water filter. There was nothing in the lease agreement. 6. Last but not least, the former resident care team, always replies by saying all the charges are validated without even doing the research. In addition to that, they never call or respond. My last resort was to submit a BBB complaint and see if they respond. I don't have to time to deal with them trying to get back at me for reporting the incident (which is my duty as a concerned citizen for other's lives) trying to get back at me, with this outrageous move out bill. read more

My stepdaughters are getting ready to get their first apartment. Their mom and I took a tour today (2/21/24) and we met with Selena. She was super friendly and professional. We walked through the property, Selena took her time showing us the amenities, and we didn't feel rushed. Parking can be an issue if guest aren't registered. The property looks very well maintained, and is centrally located. There are plenty of restaurants and fast food places nearby. Selena made us feel welcomed as new residents, and she answered all of our questions. There were plenty of amenities available, and it seems like the property is very well taken care of. read more

I have lived here for 3 years. I came home from work to see that someone had used my bathroom while I was at work. I realized this because he left the toilet seat up. I'm a single senior citizen living here alone. When I called the office to see if there was a log of who entered my apartment I got the run around. She could not explain to me how that could happen nor did she seem to be at all concerned. This is not the first incident where someone misused my place. Horrible place to live! Go elsewhere. The apartment was great when I first moved in then management changed and so did the property. There is a mud bath you have to walk through to get to your car in the morning. The mud is so bad the sprinkler lines are above the mud. I have had dog urine and poop in the elevators and outside the elevators. the screaming of the children at the pool is nerve racking and my new neighbor upstairs is extremely noisy and so is her child. The mother allows the child to use the apartment as a playground, and there is constant thumping, bumping, rolling and heavy-footed running going on above me. Sometimes it is so loud, it wakes me up. I have notified management numerous times, but other than calling her no change has been made. So, if you like running into dog poop and urine, noisy neighbors, mud all over the place, then this is spot for you. If you don't, look elsewhere. Check the photos below! read more

Horrible move out experience left the place spotless before leaving. Then charged with 1k move out bill. So don't plan on getting your deposit back also all these damn doors need WD40. If you live apartment #1111 good luck with loiters and random homeless people sitting outside of your porch. I had random encounters of people trying to open my door. read more

Moved in almost a week ago so I can only tell you my brief experience. Took me awhile to get my house closed and I think they thought I wasnt serious about moving in. But, once I got going it was game on. I came in and got my apartment and never wanted to leave. It is so quiet. I love leaving my trash at the door each night and waking up to an empty can. It's magic! LOL. Janie in the office is a queen. So sweet and thoughtful. She goes beyond to make you feel like it's the whole complex that is your home, not just your little space. Speaking of...I love my little space. It is bigger than I thought once I moved everything in. The finishes are beautiful. My patio is so cozy. This place is so quiet. I dont know if I just have great neighbors or what but, it's like I am in my very own sky castle up on the 4th floor with no one around me. I hope to stay here for a very long time. read more

Since management has changed, the front office staff and managers are constantly changing every few months. The prices keep going up but the amenities advertised are not available and there is a lack of care that goes into shared living spaces. You should save yourself the money, time, and stress... and move anywhere else!!! - You will be charged for bills you already paid, and payments are a mess to start with! I have yet to meet anyone who hasn't had an issue with their charges. You will have to check your bills with your leasing agreement monthly. - There is dog poop all over every area that has grass or fake grass! Even bags of dog poop overfilling the trash for the grill and outdoor seating area. So there are constant health hazards to both humans and pets due to a lack of sanitary behaviors! I've seen lots of viruses and UTIs going around to different dogs in the complex. - None of the amenities seem to work! If you are interested in using the gym, it often floods from leaks so it's closed often. And the grills haven't been in service since last June or July! - Maintenance is understaffed and stretched thin, putting in hours outside of office hours... even though the office staff seems to only show up to work when it's convenient. There are ONLY 3 maintenance employees although there are 3 different buildings full of units... along with designated 'amenities' and shared spaces that need maintaining. - The office is often closed randomly and has office hours changing day by day. I have yet to see management stay after hours for any emergencies. - Crime is also starting to rise around the area. There has been a series of armed robberies. I've seen a girl be robbed and chased down by two men at the front entrance under full lighting where they should be cameras... but apparently none of the cameras are ever working. The courtesy officer responds quickly but his hands are tied so he can't really do anything or address situations after they happen. - The gates are often left open and don't shut on their own... and the keypads often are broken. So safety doesn't feel like a top priority. You're probably thinking "DOES MANAGEMENT KNOW ABOUT ALL OF THIS?", they know and are still dismissive or argumentative when interacting with tenants, yet these issues have been occurring consistently for about 1.5 years, yet nothing has changed for the better. In fact, the issues continue to get worse! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR SANITY AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

I chose this property in December because I had moved my 82 year older Mother to Texas that had been neglecting back home and not being cared for properly. I chose this unit because of her nursing care team and there ability to easy find parking and walk right up to the unit without requiring building access. My Mother got I'll Jan 7 6 days after her 83rd birthday and had to be hospitalized. She quickly slipped into a life supportive stage. Feb 7 she was dead. When I moved into the unit I had as advised I didn't have to go on her lease because she was 82 years old and required 24/7 care. So, I brought the POA documents, did the application and was approved. I ended my lease and we moved in. Mom passes away I immediately reached out to property management and advised. She told me, "Derrick you are your Mother's heir you have rights to the unit stay there long as you need." Property Manager changes location and the acting manager decides to be mean with no heart. Instead of reaching out to me with sympathy she post a notice of abandonment in a full dressed unit with all bills paid in full. This situation was not handled with love but with hate and allot of discrimination. I said all that to say these people are mean and they don't like black people. The tenants are predominantly white they mistreat you and the property manager so mean and evil. Never Derrick in sorry for your lost what can I do to help you in this situation. Her response to me," I don't care nothing about your POA you have 72 hrs to get your things and go." If my Mother has been deceased since February who you think been paying the rent. My Mother was on a fixed income of $1200 a month the rent $2000 who you think paid it. I have. She couldn't. To be thrown out without a good cause. But hey, it's just a matter of time before it's shut down peoole aren't going to stand for mistreatment and pay this kind of money to live. It's not fair and it's not love and it's not of God... Do anything look abandoned around here. read more

This place was a HOLE for the two years I lived there. THEN when I moved, I paid the $200 cleaning fee just to be billed over $380 on another cleaning fee. I lived in a 580 sq. ft. apartment half the time and I am very neat. If you want endless hassle, nasty grounds, amenities that do not or have never worked, this is the place for you! Mangement turns over every month or so, so no one ever knows what is going on. I have lived in apartments most of my life and this was truly a horrible experience - right down to the one lone cleaning lady that have there taking care of 3 buildings. DON'T DO IT!!!! read more

I honestly hate having to leave such a low rated review for this place. When I first moved in August 2022 this place was paradise. Since then management has changed countless times under three different corporations. Now, RPM Living has severely ruined the experience living here. I've never lived in such a poorly managed location. The entire complex is dirty, poorly maintained, residents are rude, the office provides rude/insufficient answers (today was the first time I actually got an answer from them that was satisfactory, thank you Jaleesa for that). Every bill I've gotten has had some type of error in it, my rent fluctuated for several months (I never got any straight answer for that), and despite paying for high bandwidth internet I was consistently having issues (this may be more spectrums side of things rather than the complex's - in which case I'd rather just see the complex switch to community wifi). There's a monthly amenity fee while the amenities are RARELY maintained. The dog park and neighboring courtyard are constantly dirty, and there's holes under the fences where the dogs can run out. The pool gets very dirty. The gym has barely been open in my OVER A YEAR time there. The rooftop sky lounge always smells bad. The stairwells constantly have trash thrown about. It's honestly difficult to tell where bad management ends and where bad neighbors begin. This complex's only saving grace is the Maintenance Crew. They are truly amazing. I've never had a request sit for more than 24 hours. And every request is fulfilled efficiently. I've never been happier to move out of anywhere. I look forward to not living here anymore. read more

When I first moved in, this place was ideal. Small community, nice apartments and caring management. THEN it was sold to some big corp who does not care one bit about their tenants. The turnover alone in staff leads me to believe they don't care about their employees as well. Below are the just a FEW of the things they have ignored: 1) cleanliness of the community - specifically the dog park. 2) safety complaints - specifically gun threats and bodily harm threats 3) overt racism - specifically blaring music in the pool area that is racially and politically charged (just to mention ONE instance) 4) car vandalism - specifically gas siphoning 5) billing - specifically changing charges every month on your invoice...we never know what the final amount will be or if we will have to fight to get a wrong charge removed or battle fighting arrears from the last employees who had no idea what they were doing. 6) and FINALLY noise complaints. When tenants complain about incessant and persistent noise the regional manager might show her face to try and appease the tenant, but will do NOTHING. Instead you get told "apartment living isn't noiseless" with a condescending attitude and tone. The office staff are just as apathetic. No one cares, they are all just obviously trying to survive a job that many people before either left or were fired from. If you want to live in a nice and quiet complex DONT MOVE HERE. The buildings were cheaply built and you can basically hear your neighbors yawn...or on the worse side, do god knows what until the wee hours of the morning. And good luck calling the courtesy officer....he doesn't care either. The decline of this complex and the inferior and amateur management has made my "home" into a nightmare. Not to mention WAY overpriced. Will NOT be renewing after two leases. What a shame. read more

I appreciate Kali K. expressing many of the issues most of us face. I have been particularly plagued by the amount of rent to be paid each month. It is always different, and even though I provided proof of renter's insurance, I have to ask to have it removed from my billing each month. They still attempt to charge me for it. Kali mentioned the charges from a year past, a previous owner/management company, and an expired lease. I have seen no documentation that these charges were valid or even legal. I cannot wait to move in November when my lease is up. I live near the dog park, and the trash is not emptied regularly, so I fight odor and flies. What a miserable life. If you are considering a move to Rowlett Station apartments, reconsider. read more

Moved in 6 months ago. My roommate and I have called several times regarding out neighbors and nothing has been done. The noises are so loud I can't even sleep some nights. Whenever you walk in to the leasing office, majority of the time , no one is in. I have had to leave and come back hours later. Billing changes frequently, so I am constantly checking charges. Not to mention the amount of dog poop that is all around the complex. The dog park is nice, but the turf is never clean. The dog washing station is always disgusting too. They do not take care of their tenants, especially maintenance. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE... DO NOT RENT HERE!!!Dog shit in the hallway (if you look at previous reviews one girl posted a picture of a used period pad in the hallway.) The girls in the office are SO INCREDIBLY RUDE AND NOT ASHAMED OF IT WHAT SO EVER. They will disrespect you to your FACE and tell you that your issues don't matter and to get in line with the rest of people who are complaining. Living here is disgusting! Everything is broken, you're paying "amenity fees" for amenities you can't even use. Pool is always dirty, gym is always out of service and if something breaks in your home, be prepared to wait MONTHS for it to get repaired. Just walk in.... Seriously, I urge you before you apply.... and look at the building..... EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART because they build this property SUPER FAST and SUPER CHEAP. It's clear that they used the CHEAPEST MATERIAL and the CHEAPER LABOR AVAILABLE, that's why it's falling apart in just 3 years since it's been built!!!! Also, They will tow you REPEATEDLY!!!!!
