I am one of those 20 somethings who hasnt exactly made it a habit of going to the dentist every 6 months like I am supposed to (luckily I have good teeth and brushing habits!) I went to the same dentist from the time I had teeth until the time I was 23, it was what I knew. That dentist doesnt and hasnt accepted any of the insurance that I have had since that time. I did make the mistake of picking a dentist out of the list of in group providers about 4 years ago and that was a disaster. I was in a lot of pain and I only went in for a cleaning! Dr. Azmoudeh came as a referral from a very good friend and coworker, so I figured that I really did need to get in to see the dentist, it had been entirely too long. I made my appointment on a Thursday and was able to go in this past Tuesday (no long waiting periods for an appointment because her practice is so new!) The office is in a one of the new business parks in Ashburn, so when you walk in everything is completely new. Dr. Azmoudeh went over my dental history and was very eager to learn about my history and why I was there. She did a fantastic job at easing my nerves after my last bad dental experience. She is also the person that does the actual cleaning and takes the x-rays as opposed to having a hygienist do these things. Seriously, I almost fell asleep while I was having my teeth cleaned. She has a massaging chair (that she will turn on or off at your request) and she plays music while working. Being such a new office she has all of the latest gadgets in the world of dentistry. This really was a great dental experience (seriously...I just said that), so if you are in the need of a dentist and dont mind heading out to Ashburn, I highly highly recommend Dr. Azmoudeh! read more

I have been going to Dr. Azmoudeh for a little over a year now I was referred to her by a friend after having a dreadful experience with another dentist in the area. She is very caring and willing to take her time. She always gives you a full explanation to everything she is doing and what you can expect to feel before she performs any procedure. I have never felt like she is rushing her work so that she can move on the next patient. I used to change dentists every couple of years, when I got tired of them telling me how much work I "needed", which was always different than the previous dentist. I have been a patient of Dr Azmoudeh's for a few years now and have no plans to change dentists ever again. She is thorough and personable and doesn't try to sell me dental work to make her car payment. :-) She pushed me to get my sleep apnea evaluated and when a CPAP wasn't working for me, worked hard to make me an oral appliance that has got me sleeping again, literally saving my life. Dr Azmoudeh is a wonderful dentist and rescued me from a sheister dentist who way overcharged for 2 crowns and was pushing me to have a lot of other work. That dentist's temporary crown fell out after 5 days. Dr. Azmoudeh took impressions for the 2 permanent crowns, carefully replaced the temporary crowns, and then cleaned my teeth. She is so careful and gentle and it was the best cleaning I have had. I recommend her highly!! She is the best!!! read more

Had my first check up...what a wonderful experience! !!! Yes - we are talking about visiting a dentist. The doctor took her time going over my medical history and just talking to me about my lifestyle habits. There is absolutely no pressure for getting any extra work sold to a patient! !!! was given a 9:45 am appointment and the reminder card with date and time (still have it on me if need a picture for proof). when I get to the office they say in their system it is 1:45pm and said they will try to squeeze me in. Excellent dentist! Dr. Azmoudeh is focused on patient care, not trying to squeeze every penny she can out of you. She made a couple of small recommendations that my insurance would not cover, so she worked with me and was very flexible on the pricing. She was very laid-back and never pressured me to do anything I couldn't afford. She is obviously very knowledgeable and experienced, but she is easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable. Dr Azmoudeh is the best dentist I have ever been to. She is very professional and does excellent work, and she is warm and personable at the same time. I don't at all dread my dentist appointments anymore. I came to her after having waited way too long between dental cleanings, and she was completely nonjudgmental. My husband and I both needed to go to the dentist and we had been putting it off. I found Ms. Azmoudeh on yelp and thought that with all the great reviews, she must be doing something right. We arrived at our appointment only to find out that we weren't supposed to be there until the following week! My husband had total knee replacement several years ago, and every time he goes to the dentist he has to take antibiotics. We asked the doctor if she could prescribe him additional antibiotics for the following week, instead, she offered to take him that morning and to our surprise, she also took me as well! The office is very clean, professional, and friendly... not to mention accommodating! She made time for me when I needed it even though her office had closed for the week. She was patient and gentle as were the hygenists...I have a lot of pain where my teeth are concerned...and they minimized this. I felt comfortable asking questions that other dentists had made me feel silly for asking. The office itself was clean, welcoming and calming. There was even a back massager in the dental chair seats :) Sadly for me, I had a couple of teeth extracted due to lack of insurance before I found Dr. Azmoudeh. I had moved to Ashburn and went to Dr. Azmoudeh based on the strong reviews here - plus I like her name and the fact that she went to the University of Maryland. It had been over a year since I had been the the dentist, I do not like going to the dentist, and she found some problematic areas around my gums. After a very bad experience I had with my prior dentist of over 10 years, I came to Dr Azmoudeh on a recommendation from a childhood friend. She was so wonderful and attentive -- I've never had this much personalized experience from a dentist before! Her office is brand new and the equipment is as well -- the chairs even give you a back massage. She is open on Saturdays once a month too which is great for my schedule! When I left my first appointment she made sure to give me a little welcome package with an electric toothbrush, toothpaste/floss/gum samples, and a thank you note for referring people to her (I referred a coworker). I was not a patient of Dr Amzoudeh before today. I called shortly before closing because I have been in a great deal of discomfort all day thanks to a troublesome wisdom tooth and molar. Dr Amzoudeh was kind enough to see me as a walk-in and spent a great deal of time with me, examining my mouth, explaining why I was in such pain and what could be done in the meantime until I could have my wisdom teeth out. I was impressed by the amount of time she took with me, I didn't feel rushed or as though I was putting her behind, even though I'm sure I did. I scheduled an appointment with this dentist as a new patient. I had to cancel my appointment due to illness and conflicts with my dental insurance. I called more than 24 hours in advance, which is the standard requirement for most practitioners. When I attempted to reschedule today, I spoke to a very nasty receptionist who informed me that I would not be able to change my appointment again in the future - regardless of the reason. I declined to reschedule for obvious reasons. It really makes me question the kind of treatment that I would receive from the dentist since she tolerates her office staff being so rude to patients. Given the number of dentists in this area, I don't have to accept such poor customer service and will find someone else. read more

I had a small dental emergency (a bit of filling fell out) and called to schedule an appointment a couple of days ago- they couldn't get me in right away obviously, but sounded apologetic that they couldn't. My problem wasn't so bad that I truly needed to get in right away, so I was okay to wait. I went in today, the girl at the front desk was sweet and easy going, and the assistant that brought me back was friendly. When the doctor came in, she was sweet and cordial. She examined the filling and gave me three choice- aggressive (take out the entire filling and start over), conservative (fill in just the small gap) and super-conservative (do nothing, it isn't that bad in her opinion). Based on certain facts, we decided on the super conservative option and she wasn't pushy about any of the options, she left it to me which is something I wanted in a dentist- my last dentist really didn't like giving me choices. Dr. Azmoudeh also was gentle during the cleaning- I've been to dentists who are so aggressive my gums are bleeding and throbbing when I leave and they have envelopes of Ibuprofen they hand out. I felt confident about her throughout the exam and cleaning and left feeling that way. She's a dentist I'll actually go back to every six months. read more

I heartily recommend Dr. Roxanne Azmoudeh. I began seeing her in early June, 2015, as I was preparing for a knee replacement. My former dentist had retired and I had used that as an excuse not to see a dentist for quite some time. (I have always had a fear of going to the dentist due to my childhood dentist never using any kind of numbing agent when filling cavities.) Dr. Azmoudeh put me at ease and helped me through a difficult process to get ready for surgery. Since I was in a time crunch due to the surgery date, she made sure that any specialist I needed to see was aware of the time situation and that I could get an appointment without delay. I really don't know what I would have done without her. I appreciate her abilities, her professionalism, and her friendly personality. Best of all, I'm no longer afraid of going to the dentist.
