The reception is right when you walk in, pretty close by. All of the sales staff have little desks all throughout the sales room. Had a big expedition, escape as well as a bronco sport in the showroom. They have skeleton statues of Halloween decorations, right out front. We ended up parking over by the service area, since the front area is at an awkward spot in the corner. We had another male sales man greet us after the receptionist asked what we needed help with. Rich C. ended up chatting with us towards the end of our visit. He's the same sales person that had dealt with my mom's last purchase many years ago. My mother was able to get an idea of size of an Escape (ICE) and a Bronco Sport. Let me start off by saying we are a GM family for the most part. I found the vehicle we were slightly interested in online. It was Yukon and Tahoe vs Expedition. I walked in with no appointment, A sales person named Mary, whom I found out has been with the company 20 years, greeted me with a pleasant smile. We replaced our 2015 navigator with a instock nicely equipped, but not over equipped Ford expedition. Mary made this the smoothest car buying experience ever!!! Trust me I will spread the word. Even signing in the finance office wasn't a pushy experience like most dealers. I honestly think we spent a total of 2 hours at the dealer start to finish. I dropped off my Transit Connect at noon on Monday, May 19th 2025 to have the air conditioning serviced. The service advisor, Tina, told me that it probably would not be serviced the same day and I understood. I waited two days and without hearing anything from Tina, I called her for an update and left her a voicemail at 2pm. I did not get a return call that day, or the next day, so I left another voicemail at 1 PM on Thursday. After not getting a return call again, I had somebody drive me to the dealership at 3:30 PM and I spoke with Tina in person. I asked her why my two voicemails went unreturned, and she said that they were shorthanded. When I asked for a status update on my vehicle, she said that their air conditioning service machine was down, and that she didn't know when it would be repaired. They would be unable to service my vehicle without it. Roy Obrien had my vehicle for three days, knowing they could not service it but did not contact me to give me the option to pick up my vehicle and take it elsewhere. I also needlessly paid for a rental vehicle for three days While Roy O'brien Ford let my vehicle sit in their lot. At no time was I offered an apology for my inconvenience, or for the lack of communication from the service department. I have no trust in the Roy O'Brien service department and will no longer be taking my vehicles there. read more

I stopped in to Roy O'Brien just kicking tires and trying to get a feel for what vehicles were out there. Stan took us around the lot and grabbed keys for all the vehicles we showed an interest in. He was very patient and didn't do any high pressure sales. Frankly, he didn't need to as the vehicles were so high quality they sold themselves. Even though I wasn't planning on buying that day, I found a gorgeous Toyota Highlander that I couldn't pass up. Stan was able to get me financed even though my credit wasn't that great. I was even able to purchase a warranty even though the vehicle was older and not a Ford. The man who walked me through all the paperwork for that was Joe and he did a fantastic job of making sure I understood everything. I had written a review about the service department at Roy O'Brien Ford on Aug. 3rd, 2025, I need to Revise that statement as two Employees did reach out to me (after the review was posted) and get the answers (and a refund of an agreed amount). I would like to thank Sasha Murphy for steering the issue to The Service Department Manager, Don Holbrook. When the issue first happened Don did try to look into the matter but a personal issue had kept him from being at work for several days. Again I would like to personally thank Sasha Murphy and Don Holbrook from Roy O'Brien Ford for making sure that the bill was corrected and a refund was given of $350 (half the original labor was $700)! I now feel that it is a fair price for the job done. I will not be needing to to look for a new Ford Dealer for repairs that I am unable repair myself! Like others have said the service department scheduling is a joke. Made an appointment for a simple diagnostic update that should have taken 5 minutes. They kept the car there all day for no reason. Did not receive any update. It should have been done around the time of my appointment time and returned to me within a few hours. People don't have the time to leave their car with you all day. Oh did I mention this is the second time trying to get this same issue fixed? First time they had it all day as well with no update. Next time I will go somewhere else. You lost my trust! read more

The truck is there for a fog light issue, it's a 2024 F150 and the led ring around the light went out. Blows my mind that it is still sitting there and not even looked at. Why bother making appts. Let me start off by saying I have never owned a Ford vehicle, and I have lived within a few miles from Roy O'Brien for my entire life.. (50 years) That being said I won't be going anywhere else.. and I will tell everyone I know to go there!! From my first call my salesperson Mary Bliech was just AWESOME!! She was so easy going and so likable. I felt very fortunate that she answered my call when I had a few questions about the new full size Ford Bronco.. I had an issue with coolant leaking and diagnostics told me I needed to get my vehicle in soon as I might over heat. The closest Ford dealer to me was Roy O'Brien. I tried calling the service department twice on the way there. Neither time does anyone answer. When I get there, there are three service techs and they are talking with each other. Apparantly none of them answer phones. So I get the attention of one and I tell her my problem and she basically laughs and says we won't be able to look at your vehicle for a week and a half. So many red flags here. Never again will I call them. You would think there are small jobs and big jobs and that they could prioritze them, but nope did not matter what I needed done 1 and a half weeks (to see it). Went to Suburban Ford who agreed to look at my car in one hour. Much more willing to help me and so much more professional. Yes. Someone answered the phone. Purchased new Maverick 2 months ago. now need to have it serviced for a safety recall. am told that the mobile service is not available and that a "free loaner" is also not insurable/available to me because I'm insured by Progressive. Took my car in for warranty work, had to pay for a rental car. They kept my car over a month. I drove by weekly and wasn't moved. After calling every week and 1,000.00 in rental fees I got my car right before closing. The check engine light was on. I said nope, I'm not taking my car like this! Light was not on before I came in. Don Holbrook the service director and the head guy of Roy Obrien stayed and put it on a machine. Told me it was a chip. However, due to chip shortage it would be awhile before it could be replaced. It is now 2 years still no chip. Another recall on my FORD. I called again.... They placed me on hold and transfreed me a few times. The women pulls my repair from 2021.. if I can give zero stars, I would we recently bought a 2021 Ford Explorer there buying it was great. We got the extended warranty on it but then a week later we noticed a rattling noise underneath the car. Contacted the dealer a couple times never returned. Our call went up there took him on a test drive and he was saying he cannot hear the noise. We can obviously hear the noise. Took it back up there after discovering that the skid plates underneath the car was missing for nuts for it. Quick simple fix right wrong. They had it up in the air and said oh yeah it's supposed to make that noise you're not supposed to hear a rally noise when you're driving freeway 80 miles an hour they said they would not fix it even though we have the extended warranty on it. I have already reached out to Ford corporate and made them aware of this issue. I would never buy another car from this dealership again even though I only live two blocks away. I never have any service on my Ford vehicles. Bronco has been in the shop and no one knows anything, no one can tell me what's going on, no one sends me photos. Been sitting in the back of the lot for days. No loaners, been "working on getting us one" for a week now. I call ford corporate and hear a completely diff story than what I hear from Roy O'Brien. Very very disappointed. Field engineer out for the week for training, "should be back tomorrow". When I call ford corp they say they won't be returning until MONDAY! Getting my bronco was such a special moment as my late father bought his from Roy O'Brien in the 90's, I loved it, I was so excited to hear Ford was coming out with one. My husband ordered me one from Roy for that reason. Such a special moment turned very ugly very quickly. Who knows if I'll ever see my Bronco again !? I'm not very hopeful. read more

I was never pressured into buying a vehicle or putting a deposit down. I didn't even know I was going to buy a car until the day my sister was purchasing hers. The insurance was really cheap and I couldn't say no. Called Stan up and I told him my sister and I were both going to purchase cars that day. Stan went thru all the financing information and told me about my Ford Certified car and everything that was included with it. I very rarely post negative reviews. This one was special. I purchased a 2016 Ford Focus from them brand new in 2017. There have been MASSIVE issues with their transmissions. So much so that there was a class action lawsuit that Ford lost. This part is not Roy O'Brian fault. But it's important to the complaint. 2018 I had the first transmission issue. The car was in the shop for 2 weeks at that time. I asked for a loaner car and after being car-less for a week was given one. Not great, but thought not a big deal at the time. On August 11, 2021, the second transmission issue happened. I was informed that there is a national backorder for the transmission control module that was likely the culprit. Again, not their fault. I asked for a loaner car. I was told there is a 60 person waiting list. I asked how long the car would be in the shop, they said probably over 2 months. At that point I asked what the solution was because I could not be without a car for several months. I have a job, I would not any longer if I couldn't get to work. I was told there is no solution. That it essentially (slightly less bluntly when they said it) was my problem. After not accepting that answer they were presenting to me and mentioning that it wasn't fair I was paying car payments for a car that doesn't roll through no fault of my own, she finally relented and gave me the number to corporate where I had to pay phone tag for 3 weeks to get anything done. It would not have taken much for my anger to be stayed and not directed at them. An offer to call corporate, to assist me in presenting my case. To offer to pay rental fees with enterprise. These all would have been seen as gestures to take some of the burden of selling me a car that has had major issues since I bought it from them. Nothing was offered. They did not stand behind what they sold. They did not offer to be the liaison between myself and Ford corporate. They therefore will not see any more business from me, my family, or any friend I can talk out of it. read more

Took my 2016 SHO in for a hood latch(wasn't latching).from 9 am on 18 sep. they had my car for FOUR days to fix a hood latch. I had to call and call to check when they would have it done. Said they were waiting in paEventually I got a call when they finally got the part (after 2 days)but it was a we'lI get to it next morning. finally get there 9am 21sep to pick up ...pay them 100 BUCKS just to find hood latch STILL not latching and now it's scratches on hood of my car! I point this out to service receptionist and she says well they need to keep it and call a body shop to figure out how to fix the scratches. Later that same day around 3pm I call to follow up on my vehicle and it was a "oh by the way your car is done" reaction. They didn't notify me when they remedy the issue. (Fine scratches STILL on my hood) but at least they tried by buffing them out. I just got my car and left I kept my composure throughout this whole process but I was SCREAMING on the inside! Needless to say I can NOT refer anyone to this location. NOVEMBER 3rd update:. Even though their customer service posted on my initial review to resolve this matter... STILL NOTHING DONE TO RESOLVE THIS. All I received was an email stating they will get back to me to resolve this issue. NEVER DID. So as a result I stand by my initial review of this service Dept. And will NOT return to them nor refer anyone for service. Don't posture on yelp as if your going to help the customer and not do anything. Stan is the man! There's a reason why he has a handful of "Salesperson of the Year" plaques by his desk. Stan Fildew in the used cars department always delivers the best customer service. My family has bought a total of 6 cars from Stan since 2009 and I don't see that changing anytime soon! We've never been pressured to buy a vehicle right away and I believe Stan is the reason for that. No urgency to put a deposit down here. Stan goes out of his way for you and it definitely is appreciated! The rest of the used car department is great as well. Joe in financing is always wonderful and helpful, always willing to answer questions. My most recent car buying experience was in October of 2016. I purchased a 2014 Ford Focus, which ended up having a small oil leak. Apparently the last owner took it to a shop, who barely fixed the issue. Have no fear, however. I took it to Roy O'Brien and the service department got me in right away. Even going as far as making sure I had a rental car while my car was being looked at. They also offer a car wash for any car being worked on. Their website also offers specials/coupons for the service department. If you're in the area and looking for a new car, stop in to Roy O'Brien. took my truck here for an oil change and they hit a curb and damaged my tire then a week later I waited 2.5 hours for a single tire change.

When a message kept popping up that it was almost time to change the oil in my car for several weeks, I grew irritated because I could not see my mileage and how many miles I had to drive before I hit the "empty" mark on the gauge. I also felt that I might need new brakes at 95,000 miles. When the AC started spouting out super hot air on a hot day, I knew it was time to act. When I called the Roy O'Brien Service Department, Don Holbrook, the manager, told me that he would have somebody drive me home after I dropped my car off. I expected this to be a one or two-day affair; however, the repairs required several days before and after the weekend. I was nervous about the quality of service I would receive at this dealer's service center, but my regular technician was booked for several weeks. I was also nervous about the covid protocol. Not only did Roy O'Brien's Service Center drive me home but Don Holbrook and a technician picked up my car for the next several days to complete all of the required work above. Don was thorough and comprehensive about explaining what needed to be done and when all required parts would arrive to complete the job. When the cashier made an error on my first bill, Don quickly corrected the issue. My car was sanitized when I dropped it off and again when it was ready to be picked up. The technicians wore masks. When a technician forgot to wear a mask, he promptly put one on when I requested he do so. The repairs were completed as quickly as possible. Don Holbrook made sure that his service center provided the best service possible and met all of my needs. I am thrilled to have found a service center I can trust that is superior and local. I have been here several times for service and generally have a decent experience. They aren't overly friend and don't give you a "WOW experience" like I'm used to from Royal Oak Ford's service department does but they do good work and usually deliver on what they promise you. I'm a sucker for under selling and over delivering and that seems to be what they're service department lacks. They give you exactly what you ask for and nothing more which is why I can't give them a 5. At Royal Oak Ford when you have your car serviced they wash your car for you without you asking as long as the temperature isn't below freezing or raining out. This is a perk I wish they did. Another thing I have a pet peeve with is when you have "The Works" service done they give you a rebate for $10 off that you have to mail in whereas Royal Oak Ford they give you an instant credit of $10 off OR they will ask if you want to save the credit and after 4 credits you get a free works service. They are currently under construction but have made a makeshift service area for you to drop off your car. Not bad and doesn't seem to cause an inconvenience. read more

An update to the issue I had . After my initial poor review I was contacted by the dealership and I emailed them back explaining the situation as I saw it. after a short while my Phone rang and it was Don Holbrook and he was asking questions and listening to my needs. after a short while Don told me that FORD had denied the claim but he was going to help me in the best way he could. He told me to come in and he would get me a loaner car and he would be helping me to resolve this issue. I showed up and he looked at the issue and without hesitation he decided to send my rims out to a 3rd party to be fully reworked at no cost to me. Not just simply painted but to be fully stripped of paint. machined and resurfaced and to have the powder coating applied and baked on leaving the rims to be better than new and with a much much more durable coating. I left the car and it did take more time that I was expecting but it was out to a 3rd party so we waited for them to be done as not to rush them. during which time we spoke and he even had my mustang inside while the rims were being done in the service dept on the tiled floor keeping it safe. Don called me yesterday and I came and picked the car up. he delivered it personally when I arrived. The results are absolutely astounding. they look fantastic. and a side note he noticed a problem with a tire and replaced that too and rotated the tires so in all I would say that Don Holbrook took a situation where someone was unhappy and dealt with it like the true professional he is and made everyone happy. Definitely, the service department is top notch, I previously had a few problems with my 2007 f150. So I bought it into repair, but there was a few kinks that had to be fixed afterwards. Upon checking my oil, I noticed that a couple things were not done to my satisfaction. Don the service manager didn't make excuses, his reply was "when can you drop your truck off ", then he made sure that they were corrected. I have big expectations when I go to any dealership, The way I see it if you're paying top dollar everything should be perfect. At Roy O'Brien Ford they definitely meet my expectations of perfection. I did have be patient sometimes it takes a few days. So I can definitely give them a 5 star ratings without hesitation!!!. I will definitely come back for repairs and most likely to get a new truck once I have my money in order. So I'm keeping up my maintenance and they have always treated me great and fair. I have found that paying a extra 10$ or 20$ an hour it's money well spent, you don't pay for things you don't need and they have the experience and Ford expertises. With the proper tools and OEM replacement parts. They also have a courtesy vehicle that you can use if you have the time to reserve it, usually a weeks notice that is needed for the list. My husband and I made an appointment to have brakes replaced on his car. We dropped it off on a Friday morning before they opened. He called several times in the day to check on the status of it. No one called him back until 4pm and they told him they didn't even get it to today but can do it on Monday. That was unacceptable especially since he made an appointment. Inadequate and embellished inspection diagnosis, false claims to have "adjusted" brakes that CANNOT be adjusted, lies about replacing the aforementioned brakes and requests to replace parts that, as of today, TWO other shops have told us do not need to be replaced. I called service and told the guy my car lost acceleration power and I received an "Odo Data error message." I asked a simple question "Do you know anything about this error message from my car?" His response "Like do you mean you want me to diagnose and tell you what is wrong with your car without running any test over the phone?" Really? Service department at Roy O'Brien comparable to other Ford dealership, except today when I called RoyO'Brien to ask question of service department: I was hung up on once, and put into someone's voicemail twice.
