When I first purchased my 2017 Kia Sportage from A&B Motors, I was genuinely impressed with the…read morecustomer service. Albert was responsive, replaced a failed battery shortly after purchase, and the dealership worked with me to address several concerns. Because of that experience, I intentionally held off on leaving a review while the repair process was underway, hoping I would ultimately be able to leave a positive one. Unfortunately, my experience changed over the following weeks. Within four days of purchasing the vehicle, I reported an intermittent rough idle and other drivability concerns in writing. The vehicle was returned for inspection and repairs through Paul's Auto Service. Later inspection records documented excessive oil leakage and oil intrusion into an electrical connector. After those repairs, the vehicle developed additional engine issues, including ignition-related misfire codes. Throughout the process, I continued communicating with the dealership professionally and documented each step. I asked for written explanations regarding the inspection findings and whether the later engine issues had been evaluated in light of the documented oil intrusion. Instead, I was ultimately advised that the remaining issues were considered routine maintenance, and on June 26, 2026, I was told, "I cannot help." What disappointed me most was not that the vehicle required repairs. Used vehicles can develop problems. My disappointment was that concerns I documented within days of purchase were ultimately characterized as routine maintenance, and I was left responsible for additional repair costs without receiving the written technical explanation I had requested. I believe in giving businesses an opportunity to make things right, and I did exactly that over several weeks before deciding to leave this review. I hope A&B Motors will reconsider how it handles situations where customers promptly report significant vehicle concerns immediately after purchase.

I had an appointment and it took 50 minutes to install wheel locks. Why don't they come standard anymore? This was more money out of pocket and time. I don't understand why less is being offered. When I got my car back, it was shaking much worse than before. At anything over 50 mph, the car was practically undrivable. What makes this even more frustrating is that the technician's own paperwork acknowledged there was still an issue. The printout noted they could still feel a shake, and my service advisor, Tyler, told me the same. The paperwork even stated that if the shaking continued, the suspension and steering might need to be checked. Instead of discussing these findings or working toward a resolution, I was sent home with a car that drove significantly worse than when I brought it in. I took my car to Discount Tire for a second opinion. They told me all four tires were out of balance and said they were surprised I was even able to drive the car to their shop. After they properly rebalanced the tires, my car drove exactly like it did before Moran serviced it. After spending $129.99 on a road force balance that made my vehicle worse, I contacted Moran Chevrolet and spoke with Laura Marklin, the Service Manager. I provided documentation from Discount Tire along with videos showing how badly the steering wheel was shaking. Rather than discussing a reasonable resolution, Laura insisted their computer showed everything was balanced correctly and that nothing was wrong with their work, essentially suggesting Discount Tire was wrong. However, once Discount rebalanced the tires, my car immediately drove normally again. The only solution Moran offered was to refund the balancing charge and put towards brakes. if I returned to have my brakes serviced there. That was completely unacceptable. If they couldn't properly balance my tires, why would I trust them to perform brake work? To make matters worse, there were pen marks all over my windshield visor tint that I had to clean off myself. Then, when an employee brought my car around, he attempted to drive it through the automatic car wash until another employee stopped him, explaining that Camaros and Corvettes should not go through it. From start to finish, this was an awful experience. The workmanship was poor, the customer service was even worse, and at no point did I feel like anyone genuinely cared about making the situation right. My car was originally purchased from this dealership in 2010, and I expected them to stand behind their work. Instead, I had to pay another shop to correct their mistake and was offered no meaningful resolution. Their website says, "If anything about your visit wasn't perfect, please reach out to me so I can make it right." Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I will not be returning for service or purchasing another vehicle from Moran Chevrolet. I'd rather support a local independent shop that takes pride in its work, treats customers with respect, and stands behind the services it provides.
