Came here for the first time and had such a great experience from getting a regular manicure. However, I wanted to wait until my second experience before writing a true experience. Regular manicures are only $10 but pedicures are double at $20. I believe gel manicures are $25 but I don't usually get them as they tend to dry out my nails unless it's a special occasion. On both occasions, I had a different technician working on my nails but they were both lovely and did a wonderful job on my nails. They took their time to file, buff, cut, paint, dry, and spray the enamel sprays on my nails. My nails lasted a good month or so so I'm very happy with the lasting power as well! read more

Came here after looking around other neighboring nail salons with a friend a few days ago. The location is very convenient since it's located at skyview mall. We came in on a monday afternoon, and they accepted walkins, at the time, as they were not many customers present. Although my manicure did take quite a while at about 2.5-3hrs, my nail tech did a very good job. Spent my time watching "Immortal Samsara." It was my first time getting acrylic nail extensions, so I did not know what to expect in the process. He reccomended this color for the cat eye polish, and I think it was a cute color! Service was nice, I guess the only thing I have to complain about was the smell inside, I believe it was from the acrylic power solution (the monomer solution). They offer a variety of gel colors to choose from and I especially like seeing a range of glitter nail polishes. Make sure to tip your nail techs 25%+. My friend gave her tech $23 tip for an SNS manicure and the lady looked like she was not happy about it which was not appropriate. That manicure happened to last only 3 days which was disappointing since most SNS should last 2 weeks. I chose to get a snowflake color gel manicure for winter and my nail tech did a good job. The salon is located inside the Skyview Center and parking is so hard to find near by but can park inside the garbage which is $3 for the first 3 hours. It is across from subway and Grandma's Dim Sum. Appointment is highly recommend as they seem to be very busy but I have seen people just walk in as well. Scheduled an appointment for 12pm to get manicure/pedicure yes they were busy but I had to wait 30 mins (not quite cool to be honest). Clean salon for sure everyone seemed friendly for the most part and good selection of colors. May was my nail technician she did a decent job and was very friendly. The most disappointing nail salon experience. I chose this place because it had solid reviews. Angela who did my mani-pedi was not only rude, but also did an awful dip powder manicure. She was not respectful and scolded at me. Is that how you treat your clients that speak your language? She told me dip powders are in general thicker and the color was not uniform because the color I picked tends to come out clumpy and thick. The real reason was because she is incompetent and cutting corners. Angela did not polish my nails and added unnecessary coats that made them thicker. I had made an appointment for two of my friends that day as well and when my friends looked at the finish product of my nails they were horrified. The base of my nails were heaping up like Mount Everest. I am generally not the type of person to make a scene, but we were upset since these nails were for wedding purposes, and so we spoke with the manager. We spent over 4 hours at the salon, which is uncalled for. Please keep in mind, your clients time is just as valuable as your staff members. The manager was very professional about the whole situation and thank you Nicole for taking over and redoing my nails. My friends and I personally would not be coming back here on a regular. Overall, Royal Beauty Nail is quite decent. They were quick to service me and my friend, and offered suggestions for our nails in terms of design and color. My nail tech was very detail-oriented and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. At the end though, he did forget to apply cuticle oil and lotion whereas my friend's nail tech did for her. Moreover, he mentioned several times that the color combination I had chosen for myself was "very wrong." I understand he is a nail tech with years of experience but his repetitive commentary of how wrong it was essentially became a line that was crossed. The nails came out alright, but I'm still not sure if I'd ever go back. I love my gel manicure! $25 only! This place is inside SkyView Center. Walk through the main entrance and walk down the stairs, past the Nike Factory Store and make a left. I called ahead on the same day to make an appointment for 5pm. The girl was very meticulous and detailed, cleaning my nails and buffing them. I'm always indecisive picking colors -- this place has SO MANY! Wayyyyyyy more than Sky Nails (which I used to go to). After she did my nails, I were to wash my hands and then she massaged them with lotion. I really like that she took care of all sides of the nails and was not sloppy like other places. I thought I had cash but didn't -- good thing they take credit cards too! This makes life so much easier... They speak primarily Mandarin, but I also heard some Cantonese and they understand English (I understand all 3, so I knew that they didn't talk crap about their customers like other places do). I recently just had a gel mani/pedi done (I forget by who). I highly recommend making an appointment before you come in, especially on Friday+ weekends, as this place can get pretty busy. Walk-ins probably had to wait around an hour when I was there. They definitely don't have the widest selection of gel polishes, as I wasn't really able to find the kind of color I usually get (a pale light pink - like Essie Romper Room), but I found something close enough. What I like about this place is that they really care about your nails lasting a long time. My nail tech repeatedly put my nails under the UV light more than usual to soldify them more, and when she was looking them over, she realized that two of my nails dried weirdly with the gel, and she took the time to fix them. I honestly would not have noticed until I got home, so I really appreciated the attention to detail. They even have a rule that says if something happens to your nail within a week of getting it done, they'll fix it for free! Royal Beauty is known for their nail designs. You'd have to wait a long time if you just walked in because all the nail techs are probably doing intricate nail designs. The Royal Beauty Nail normally closes at 8:30PM, so I arrived at 7pm for the color gel nail tips. The team were quick to get to work on my nails even though they were planning to close early to attend a company party that evening. The first lady was so meticulous in selecting the tips, and carefully applying gel to each nail by hand. There is a certain level of quality that is achieved only by talent, technique, and patience. The boutique is clean, friendly and offer quality powders, gels, and polish. I have visited other nail salons but so far, this is my favorite go-to place for my nails. The wait time can sometimes be discouraging, but the craftsmanship and detail to nail art, design, and creativity is totally worth the trip here. I came here for UV gel tips, it was $68 which is considered really good in Flushing. The whole process was about an hour. I did a walk in (I GOT REALLY LUCKY. I don't recommend anyone doing walk ins. They were super packed on a weekday around 5pm). I was hoping Sam was free and luckily he was. Janie(?) was working on someone else next to me and she did acrylic nail tips ($35) and the outcome was really good too. Royal Beauty Nail is probably the only salon that does acrylic nail extensions in flushing. everywhere else does UV gel only ($75+). I told Sam I've never gotten extensions before and he was very patient and understanding. He walked me through the pro and cons between UV and acrylic tips. I decided to go for UV because it's less harmful (you can tell by the smell because the girl next to me was getting acrylic and it smelled like death). Prices are good too, def recommend. This is my second time coming here to get my nails done. I usually do acrylic nails for special occasions. There aren't many in my life. Lol! The nice woman who worked on my nails was Jane. She is very attentive and does a great job. I'd recommend her I'd you come here. She takes her time and makes sure all the nails are even and smoothed out to my liking. She also gave me a little hand massage too at the end. There was a slight language barrier but she asked someone to help interpret for her and did what I liked for my nails. Clean bathroom and provides wifi. This place has always been my to go nail spot in Flushing up until recently. My most recently manicure was on 10/8 Tuesday, I have never experience before. When she began to file my nails, it was rough and got parts of my cuticle, understanding accident happens. Next she used an electric file on my nails, when it felt enormously hot and began to hurt, I moved my hand several times but it continues each and everytime after. Once I finished, from afar the nails were amazing however when it is close up, my cuticle was not taken care of and dry. Aside from the cuticle, little did I know on my right hand ring finger, I got cut. The cut resulted in an infections through out the week. On Thursday it was was red and slightly swollen, Friday was swollen and painful. Due to the pain, it was hard to type or do anything that comes I'm contact with my finger, leading me to drain the pus out Saturday night. Eventually having to go to my doctor for antibotics. The plus is they have a lot of staff and tables so you wound't have to wait for too long, even tho appointment is still recommended. The Chinese ladies here were very quick and efficient and you get what you paid for. Don't expect excellent service or feeling of pampering lol. I did the regular gel manicure for $28. The technician who did my nails was super nice and she explained to me the difference between the acrylic and uv gel extensions. I had wanted to get the gel extensions, but I reconsidered after seeing the price. The UV Gel extension is $68 and the acrylic was I believe $38. From the time I entered the salon to when I left, it was about 30-45 minutes. I didn't catch the name of the technician who did my nails, but she had blond hair. I went in at around 3:30pm, and there were only 3 other people there. Overall, this might be my new go-to salon. It's been 2 days and my nails still look fantastic. Got there and they asked me what I wanted - showed them a picture, so they passed it around and see who could do it. 10 mins later someone said they don't have any shapes of stones from the picture. So, they gave me an iPad to show me a variety of art nails they said they've done in the past. Decided to give this place a try after seeing good reviews on yelp. It was pretty crowded on a Sunday, so you should make a reservation if you're going on a weekend. It's $28 for a regular gel manicure. It was an additional $12 for the design. May is truly amazing. I showed her a design from pinterest. She paid close attention to detail & she was also very helpful in giving me advice. She also let me try on the colors with the base coat already on then removed the polish and painted the real polish on. She helped me pick the pink color. Obviously she has good taste. I'm blown away! I've been getting SNS for over a year now and this is by far the best powder manicure I've ever had. I got my nails done by Niko on May 10th, and it's now June 10th and they still look good! Definitely grown out lol, but not a chip in sight. Everything stayed completely in tact for a full month! I don't want to give this place even ONE STAR. The NEGLIGENCE of this place blow my mind, starting that i thought for so long to write a review of this kind because i thought will go away in a week but i am so frustrated about my situation that i need to take time to realize that this is something that could be avoid and can happen to anyone else. I took a nail fungus in one finger of my right hand that cost my nail, treatments, dermatologies appointments, missing works days and today (almost ending my antibiotic treatment) probably surgery. This is FIVE MONTHS AGO!!!; four months treatments. Please, please be advices about this and like this you don't have to pass for the same thing that i am right now. I have to take shower with a glove, take care with medications live with a bandit and work with gloves sometimes triple gloves because i work in the Mount Sinai Hospital so i need to cover and protect my hand of any infections. I went long a go to complaint to this place (closed to The day that i got the big fungus ) and the lady just said i am So sorry pls add this and that like she was a Doctor and actually this turn and huge issued in my life; This is something that can happen to anyone else; how many of us do manicure and pedicure in these places that we don't even know if is sterilized all those nails tools or pedicure sinks ?!? and how important should be this done for all these places now is happening to me and is costing me money, time and what is worst probably future surgery in my finger to remove the fungus i am not sure if my nail will grow again at this point .
