We opted to keep our current boxes and royal cabinets was the best place to go for new doors. They had so many great options to see in the showroom so we felt confident knowing we were getting a great product. Jakob was an amazing help throughout the whole process. He gave us an initial quote from on my own measurements but we then opted for a larger fronts that would provide more coverage. So, Jakob took the time to come out to our home to measure every single one. I was very impressed with how thorough he was. A few weeks later they were ready for delivery! They came primed and holes were drilled for the hinges (something I would recommend to anyone doing a project like this). EDIT: Royal Cabinets offered me a refund of $1000 in April after the first installation could not be completed due to the wrong size cabinets. They also paid to replace my damaged countertop. However, the owner was very upset with this review and threatened to withhold my refund and payment for the sink (which had to be removed along with the damaged countertops) unless I changed my review to at least 4 stars. As of August, I have not received the promised refund or the money I paid to replace the sink. I feel scammed, and I'd urge anyone reading this to consider another cabinet company. read more

First of all I have to say, we purchased a bathroom vanity about 5 yrs ago and I absolutely love it. Its not custom, and is a stock cabinet that has held up beautifully. My complaint however, is the customer service that I experienced on Dec. 30th of this year. I walked into the Royal Cabinets showroom (which they share with a countertop company) and nobody looked up to acknowledge that I was there, they didnt stop their conversations NOTHING. It wasnt until I wandered by the countertop companies employee did she even acknowledge that I was there and pointed me to the Royal Cabinets area. Even then I stood patiently waiting for them to finish their conversation and then they addressed me. They were RUDE!!! Rushing me around the showroom. I tried to explain that I was a repeat customer and only then did I get a mild welcoming tone. We are completely remodeling our kitchen, and since we had used them before I wanted to give them the first opportunity to come to our home and get us an estimate and garner some ideas for remodeling. We have since moved on, and found a cabinet company that has been nothing short of welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Im disappointed by the treatment that I received at Royal Cabinet. I sincerely hope that they are more customer oriented to any future customers. If I could give them negative points for customer service I would. Honest, hardworking people are hard to come by these days but Julian and the crew at Royal Cabinets crushed that and set the bar at the best. As a single woman attempting a huge kitchen gut and remodel, I had been fearful of design, layout and especially cost. I worked with Kathy Jamison to decide which cabinets and to have the kitchen measured for them. After looking all over for something I liked, when I walked into royal, I saw a cabinet with almost exactly what I wanted. Their pricing is similar to everyone else but oh, the quality. . I picked out hickory with mitered trim. The cabinets are VERY well made and the doors are beautiful. Kathy checked a couple times with what I asked for to be sure. She measured twice. I love the soft close drawers and doors. The installers came in and had the job done in just a couple hours. Juan, the main Carpenter made a special trip out to replace some shelves that were slightly off (before I knew). He made sure everything was perfect. His attitude of excellence is not common today. Royal recently created custom cabinets for my kitchen. Boy, was it a large project for a first time home owner... the cabinets themselves are GORGEOUS and exactly what I wanted. So, so much more functional than my 1980s kitchen. I very much enjoyed working with Julian who did my design and coordination, Morgan who helped me pick out my custom wood stain with a lot of iterations, and Juan who finished off my install and really made me feel heard and appreciated. As with any large project, and mine in particular given the oddities of my kitchen and installing over the Christmas holiday, there were some issues we encountered. I don't think there should be an expectation that there *won't* ever be any issues, but it is up to the company to correct them. They certainly did that. Julian and Juan really went above and beyond to get my issues corrected and to listen to me. They also seemed to actually care, which is important and hard to find. The lead time from ordering to install might have been on the long side (~3-4 months), but given the custom nature, they were 100% worth the wait. Every time one of my drawers closes softly and smoothly, I am thankful! I definitely recommend them, so much so that I'm working with them again for some small bathroom cabinets. I have read some places don't like small orders and will be a pain, but it didn't seem to be at all a problem for Royal. read more

So, it has been over 5 years since we replaced our kitchen and we love spending time there now that the cabinets, floors and appliances were replaced by Rick Crouse (contractor extraordinaire). Dan @ Royal Cabinets was instrumental in our project for the upgrade and I will go back for our other work we have on our list of improvements to the bathrooms. The cabinets are custom made with extremely good material and workmanship. What prompted me to post this was that we recently had to call Dan back to our house to inspect our pantry door that had been chewed by an unruly dog that visited us. Dan came to our house, took the door back to the shop and found that it could not be repaired (bad dog!). He replaced it with a new door that matched perfectly! Unfortunately we never got to find out if the quality of their cabinets was any good or not. If I were you, I'd Stay away at all costs. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Constantly trying to inflate prices with no justification, followed by pressure to sign a contract without even doing a cabinet design. The installation date was met and although there was one issue with our range cabinet, Dan resolved the issue by 7am the next day so that we could keep our countertop appointment. After deliberating between four companies, we decided to go local and chose Royal Cabinets. After many discussions with our designer, Julian, we were satisfied with the design and gave the go ahead for construction and installation which was scheduled for the 21st of Nov., 2016. The Wed. before scheduled install, we were called and told machinery had broken down and order wouldn't be complete until day after scheduled install. The designer was told that that was unacceptable as we had counter tops being measured and if we had to reschedule, it would be weeks not days until they could come again. (We were not going to be without kitchen sink & water for another 3 weeks). Designer called the next day and said they would be working over the weekend to get the job done and installers would be there as scheduled. The installation started out good, but mistakes were made that lead to frustration and at the end of the day, the mistakes were not fixed and the installation was not complete. Photos were taken of mistakes and uninstalled pieces. Designer was called and informed of these problems. Over the next 3+ weeks, our kitchen install was completed but not before many trips by others to fix what was not done or done wrong. Not only did it take many trips by others, but they often came lacking proper tools and materials. (One major mistake needed to be corrected by the designer, which he did, but when he came to our house, he was really sick and again, lacked all materials needed to complete the job). This all could have been avoided had our designer promptly come to our house to assess what needed to be done (instead of relying on phone calls) and then to prioritize a schedule to complete the job in one return trip instead of many. None of the corrections that were needed would have prevented us from using our kitchen so we could have waited for one trip to complete instead of many. Our designer did do a good job measuring our space. The foot print was not changing and appliances were not moving, so extra care had to be taken so that all doors and drawers opened without impeding other opening components. Overall, we are satisfied with our cabinets and the over all look we were after. We were, however, not satisfied with the lack of response by the owner. He never returned our direct request to speak with him, nor did he respond to requests made by others. We were also told he would be at our house on 3 different occasions, but we've never seen him or heard from him. We paid half down to get started with the remainder due upon completed installation. Final payment was made about 6 weeks after the start of the installation but not until even the smallest detail was taken care of to our satisfaction and our concerns about the process, lack of organization and timeliness was discussed in person with our designer. We would very cautiously recommend, but do not accept anything less than what you expect. (We expect installers to have enough pride in their work that they would install as if they were installing in their own home.) read more

Royal Cabinets did a fine job in re-staining some of our kitchen cabinet doors and drawer faces. The old stain had started to peel away from the wood and they agreed to re-stain them. Even with their busy production schedule, they were able to squeeze in our order. The cabinets look great and we really appreciate their work. read more
